DENTAL HANDPIECE
A dental handpiece includes: a body; and a head. The body includes a supply tube configured to supply air to the head. The head includes: a housing, a holding portion disposed in an inside of the housing and configured to hold and rotate a cutting tool, and a protruding portion protruding from a specific surface and having an opening through which the cutting tool is inserted into the holding portion, the specific surface corresponding to an inner-diameter-side bottom of the housing through which the cutting tool passes. The protruding portion has at least one discharge path provided at a specific position closer to a tip end of the cutting tool than the specific surface and configured to receive the air supplied from the supply tube at the specific position, guide the air to an outer circumferential side of the head and discharge the air to an outside.
DENTAL HANDPIECE
A dental handpiece configured to rotatably drive a dental treatment tool mounted in a chuck mechanism includes the chuck mechanism in which the dental treatment tool is mounted so as to be attachable and detachable. The chuck mechanism includes a hollow cylindrical sleeve, a cylindrical slide member, a plurality of divided movable pieces disposed in the sleeve, an elastic biasing member configured to bias the cylindrical slide member forward in an insertion direction of the dental treatment tool, and a stopper unit which restricts forward axial movement of the plurality of divided movable pieces in the insertion direction. The divided movable pieces are moved in a radial direction by relative movement between the divided movable pieces and the cylindrical slide member in the axial direction, so that fixation of the dental treatment tool and release of the fixation are performed.
DENTAL HANDPIECE HAVING A CHUCK WITH AN INTEGRATED PLUNGER BALL
The present invention relates to a dental handpiece (1) comprising: a dental handpiece (1) comprising: a head (4): a rotatable hollow shaft (15) which is rotatably arranged inside the head (4): a driving means for rotating the hollow shaft (15): a chuck (26) having resilient arms (27) for releasably clamping a dental drill (2), wherein the chuck (26) is fixed into the hollow shaft (15) so as to rotate with same: a ball (14) which is axially movably arranged inside the rotatable hollow shaft (15) and in direct contact with the resilient arms (27) of the chuck (26), wherein the ball (14) partly protrudes through an opening (17) on the upper end of the hollow shaft (15), and wherein the opening (17) is smaller than the size of the ball (14): a push button (7) which is arranged in the head (4) and configured to contact. when pressed by a user. the partly protruding ball (14) and move the ball (14) downwardly in between the resilient arms (27) so as flex the resilient arms (27) radially outwards and release the dental drill (2), wherein the resilient arms (27) bias the ball (14) inside the rotatable hollow shaft (15) towards the opening (17); and a biasing means to move the push button (7) away from the ball (14), wherein the push button (7) is not in contact with the ball (15) when it is released.
Endodontic handpiece systems and methods
An endodontic handpiece comprises a handle assembly and an endodontic tool. The handle assembly comprises a handle housing, a chuck assembly, a bearing system for supporting the chuck assembly for rotation relative to the handle housing, a first drive system for rotating the chuck assembly, and first and second drive systems. The endodontic tool defines a support portion and a working portion. The chuck assembly transfers movement of the chuck assembly to the endodontic tool. The endodontic handpiece operates in at least one of first, second, and third modes in which the first drive system causes rotation of the endodontic tool through the chuck assembly, the second drive system causes vibration of the endodontic tool, and/or the first drive system causes rotation of the endodontic tool through the chuck assembly.
Device comprising handpiece connector having filter coupled thereto
A device including a handpiece connector to which a filter is coupled can be combined with the handpiece and has a connector accommodating therein a filter with an increased cross-sectional area, which can be replaced in a detachable manner, so that it can prevent saliva, blood, bacteria, and foreign substances that may be mixed with the air flowing along inside the handpiece from being exposed to the inside of the patient's oral cavity, causing contamination or infection, and prevent performance degradation and a fault of the handpiece caused by foreign substances accumulating inside the handpiece.
