Angle piece head

The angle piece head drives an instrument for operating on dental roots and includes a body having a generally cylindrical cavity and an instrument-holding core in the cavity. The core is shaped to receive and hold the instrument and moves axially and pivotally. The instrument-holding core includes a groove having an offset engaging therewith. The offset engages with one or the other of the two edges of the groove such that the rotation thereof transmits an alternating axial movement to the instrument while enabling same to rotate about the axis of the instrument. The groove includes two portions that extend on either side of a median area. For each portion, the height, namely the distance that separates the two edges, increases from the median area to each end of the groove.

Multi-directional handpiece

A multi-directional handpiece that includes a motor drive extending along and configured for rotation about a body axis, the motor drive having: a motor gearing at a proximal end of the motor drive; and a file gearing in engagement with the motor gearing for transferring the rotational and axial movement to a workpiece; and a housing for the workpiece; and wherein through rotation of the motor drive, the workpiece moves in an axial oscillating motion while being rotated.

A surgical tool with an improved drive system may feature an uneven, rotating, swash plate pushing against a spring biased driving shaft to transform rotary motion to linear motion. As the swash plate pushes forward, the spring tension increases and is then continually released as the swash plate is rotates to a point where less pressure is applied to the shaft. The motion is then smooth, continuous, and reciprocating. Various tool bits may be provided for various operations.

Medical or dental treatment device and tool for such a treatment device

A medical or dental treatment device comprises a tool retainer, a measuring coil and an evaluation device. The tool retainer can be connected to a plurality of different tools. The measuring coil can be supplied with a periodic electrical energy. The evaluation device can be connected to the measuring coil for detecting whether a tool is connected to the treatment device or which of a plurality of tools is connected to the treatment device. On the basis of an electromagnetic (e.g., inductive) coupling between the tool accommodated in the tool retainer and the measuring coil supplied with the periodic energy, a periodic measurement signal specific to each tool can be generated and assigned by the evaluation device to the tool. The evaluation device determines the phase shift of the electrical voltage and of the electric current of the periodic measurement signal.

DENTAL HANDPIECE AND HEAD THEREOF, AND ROOT CANAL PREPARATION MACHINE

The present disclosure relates to the technical field of medical appliances, and provides a dental handpiece and a head thereof, and a root canal preparation machine. The head of the dental handpiece comprises a head housing; a movement cavity is provided in the head housing; a rotatable movement and a driving gear are provided in the movement cavity; the driving gear is sleeved on one end of the movement, and the movement can move along the axial direction of the driving gear; a reciprocating driving mechanism is further provided in the movement cavity, and the reciprocating driving mechanism is used for driving the movement to perform reciprocating movement along its own axis. Thus, when the dental handpiece of the present disclosure is used for root canal treatment, a root canal file is driven to perform reciprocating movement along its own axis by means of the reciprocating driving mechanism, and manual lifting is no longer required, thereby improving the treatment efficiency of root canal enlargement, reducing the requirements for the patient's cavity space, also facilitating the operation of root canal enlargement treatment, and improving the patient's experience of treatment.

TOOL RFID RECOGNITION SYSTEM FOR DENTAL DEVICES

A tool recognition system recognizes a tool selected for a surgical procedure. The tool includes a distal portion configured to perform at least part of the surgical procedure and a proximal portion including a first electronic module that stores tool-identifying electronic information. A surgical handpiece is configured to receive the tool and includes a second electronic module configured to communicate electronically with the first electronic module when tool is disposed in the handpiece. The first electronic module includes a coil that is configured as a radio-frequency identification (RFID) tag antenna. The second electronic module includes a coil that is configured as a radio-frequency identification (RFID) interrogator antenna. In one embodiment, the first electronic module is a transponder that includes a RFID chip and a RFID antenna. Another embodiment includes a surgical tool recognition system for a drill and the tool includes a file.

DENTAL OR DENTAL SURGICAL ULTRASONIC TOOL

A dental or dental surgical ultrasonic tool, comprising: a tool body, a connecting device for connection to an ultrasonic source, a working section extending along a longitudinal axis and designed to penetrate into bone to be treated, and a liquid line extending through the tool body in the direction of the working section and ending in at least one opening for the discharge of a liquid, wherein the working section has a distal end face with multiple cutting edges and a. lateral surface connected thereto, wherein at least one channel for conveying a liquid is provided in the lateral surface, and wherein the at least one opening of the liquid line is disposed on the lateral surface in the at least one channel or directly adjacent to the at least one channel. Additionally or alternatively, the at least one channel extends helically around the longitudinal axis of the working section.
