PERIODONTAL TISSUE REGENERATION INDUCER AND APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING THE SAME
20220313397 · 2022-10-06 · ·

A periodontal tissue regeneration inducer and an apparatus and a method for manufacturing the same are provided. The periodontal tissue regeneration inducer includes a sheet body formed of a flexible material, and a pattern layer having a pattern formed therein to facilitate bone formation or regeneration on a surface of the sheet body. Therefore, the periodontal tissue regeneration inducer and the apparatus and method for manufacturing the same have an advantage in that the bone formation or regeneration may be facilitated during implant surgery because the membrane sheet is composed of a polycaprolactone (PCL) material and a nanopattern is formed on a surface of the pattern layer.

A process for manufacturing a cap (4) which has at least one nominal breaking point (16) of a covering device for a bone defect site (2) and a device (1) for covering and/or reconstructing a bone defect site (2) are proposed, wherein through comparing a first data set which represents the affected bone defect site (2) in the actual condition with a second data set which represents the nominal condition of a regenerated bone at the bone defect site (2), wherein the second data set has been calculated or recorded at a time at which the bone at the site now to be regenerated was still a healthy bone (18) it is made possible that the regenerated bone produced through the regeneration of the bone defect point (2) has a shape which corresponds to the shape the bone had at the site to be regenerated when it was still healthy.

DENTAL IMPLANT HAVING REVERSE-TAPERED MAIN BODY FOR ANTERIOR POST-EXTRACTION SOCKETS
20170354485 · 2017-12-14 ·

A dental implant includes a body and a threaded surface. The body has an upper portion, a middle portion, and a lower portion. The upper portion of the body includes a generally cylindrical region. The lower portion of the body includes a generally inwardly tapered region. The middle portion of the body includes an outwardly extending bulge. A maximum outer diameter of the bulge is greater than (i) a maximum outer diameter of the upper portion and (ii) a maximum outer diameter of the lower portion. The threaded surface is on the body within at least the upper portion of the body, the bulge, and the lower portion of the body.

DENTAL DEVICES FOR EXTRACTION SITE RECONSTRUCTION

The extraction socket devices are designed to protect the extraction socket immediately after tooth extraction. These devices protect the socket from oral bacteria and food, support a space to prevent collapse of the alveolar ridge during healing, contain any bone graft material inside of the socket, and provide comfort to patient during the healing process. Procedures are also disclosed for placing the devices in an extraction site to obtain the benefits of the disclosed devices.

SI-O-N-P RELATED FABRICATION METHODS, SURFACE TREATMENTS AND USES THEREOF

Disclosed are compositions, methods and processes for fabricating and using a device or other implement including a surface or surfaces having a nanoscale or microscale layer or coating of Si—O—N—P. These coatings and/or layers may be continuous, on the surface or discontinuous (e.g., patterned, grooved), and may be provided on silica surfaces, metal (e.g., titanium), ceramic, and combination/hybrid materials. Methods of producing an implantable device, such as a load-bearing or non-load-bearing device, such as a bone or other structural implant device (load-bearing), are also presented. Craniofacial, osteogenic and disordered bone regeneration (osteoporosis) uses and applications of devices that include at least one surface that is treated to include a nanoscale or microscale layer or coating of Si—O—N—P are also provided. Methods of using the treated and/or coated devices to enhance enhanced vascularization and healing at a treated surface of a device in vivo, is also presented.
