Systems and methods for providing processing of a variety of objects employing motion planning
A processing system is disclosed for providing processing of homogenous and non-homogenous objects in both structured and cluttered environments. The processing system includes a programmable motion device including an end effector, a perception system for recognizing any of the identity, location, and orientation of an object presented in a plurality of objects at an input location, a grasp acquisition system for acquiring the object using the end effector to permit the object to be moved from the plurality of objects to one of a plurality of destination bins, and a motion planning system for determining a changing portion of a trajectory path of the end effector from the object to a base location proximate to the input location, and determining an unchanging portion of a trajectory path of the end effector from the base location to a destination bin location proximate to a destination bin, wherein the unchanging portion of the trajectory path is chosen to provide a path from the base location to the destination bin location that is consistent with paths taken by other objects.
ROBOTIC SYSTEM WITH COORDINATION MECHANISM AND METHODS OF OPERATING THE SAME
A system and method for operating a robotic system to coordinate and integrate multiple tasks for performing operations is disclosed. The robotic system may identify a set of tasks associated with a triggered operation. Accordingly, the robotic system may coordinate and control actions across subsystems, robotic units, task stations, or a combination thereof to sequentially perform the set of tasks and complete the operation.
TRAY, BELT, OR CARRIER ON COMPUTER CONTROLLED TRANSPORT VEHICLE
Method of transporting an article with a computer controlled transport vehicle to a destination includes transporting an article carried by a computer controlled transport vehicle to a destination, wherein a tray, belt, or carrier attached to the computer controlled transport vehicle engages the article. The method further includes determining a characteristic for the article. The method furthermore includes manipulating the tray, belt, or carrier from a first position to a second position to deposit the article at the destination, wherein the manipulation of the tray, belt, or carrier is adjusted based on the characteristic determined for the article to adjust a deposit characteristic of the article.
GARBAGE SORTING AND RECYCLIING METHOD, SYSTEM, AND COMPUTER READABLE STORAGE MEDIUM
A method for sorting and recycling garbage recycles garbage of certain types into a garbage collecting device, the garbage recycling device implements the method and includes a temporary storage box and a storage box having an inlet. The method acquires an image of garbage in the temporary storage box, analyzes the image to obtain a first classification information and determines whether the first classification information matches a recycling category. The inlet of the storage box is opened when the first classification information matches a certain recycling category. A garbage sorting and recycling system and a computer readable storage medium are also provided.
Sorting support method and flatbed machine tool
A method for supporting a sorting process of workpieces arranged on a sorting table that have been produced on a machine tool by a processing plan, comprising providing of a processing image data set of the processing plan based on the arrangement of at least one workpiece. The method further relates to an imaging-based capturing of the sorting table having a plurality of adjacent workpieces to each other and generating a first sorting image data set, and repeated image-based capturing of the sorting table and generating of a second sorting image data set once at least one workpiece has been removed from the sorting table. The method comprises comparing of the sorting image data sets, incorporating the processing image data set, wherein a sorting signal is generated which contains information that comprises the type, the position and/or the shape of the at least one removed workpiece.
Dynamic adjustment of a presentation area
This disclosure describes a system for presenting items to a user at a presentation area within a materials handling facility. In some instances, a predicted items list that identifies items that are likely to be picked by a user are determined and, when the user arrives at the materials handling facility, those predicted items are presented to the user for selection. For example, predicted items may be determined and inventory holders that contain the predicted items may be routed to a presentation area and positioned for presentation to the user. The user may browse the presented items and pick the items they desire.
METHOD FOR PROCESSING AND BATCHING FOOD ITEMS
A method of fulfilling a plurality of weight batch orders in a food item processing line, including: obtaining an estimated weight data of a first supply batch of food items; receiving a plurality of weight batch orders; allocating a subset of the plurality of weight batch orders to the first supply batch of food items by determining which weight batch order best corresponds with the estimated weight data; and scheduling fulfilment of the determined best corresponding weight batch order.
Sorting support methods, sorting systems, and flatbed machine tools
A method for assisting a user with sorting workpieces disposed on a sorting table uses a positioning system for determining a spatial position of a user's hand. The position can be determined by a sorting assistance unit worn near a hand of the user and the position of which is detected by the positioning system, or by image-based positioning using one or more cameras. The method comprises providing a position data set that includes the positions of the workpieces produced of the machining plan on the sorting table; by the positioning system, detecting a position of the user's hand and comparing it with the positions of the position data set; identifying at least one workpiece that is paired with the position of the user's hand; and outputting a sorting signal which comprises information about the at least one workpiece paired with the position of the user's hand.
Method for sorting conveyed objects on a conveyor system
In a first step of a method for bundling conveyed streams on a material handling element including a number of incoming conveyor segments, at least one coupling to an outgoing conveyor segment, on which the incoming conveyor segments converge, and a number of holding devices for holding a conveyed stream on the incoming conveyor segments, the conveyed objects are vectorially combined in in ascending/descending order according to a desired sorting sequence. When a conveyed object passes the material handling element a vector corresponding to the actual sequence is entered in the vector combination. Conveyed objects are released if a ring with a constant direction is avoided in the vector combination. A material handling element carries out the method.
