A dental implant system, comprising: a tooth implant, and a separate abutment that is attachable or attached at the tooth implant by an attachment bolt, wherein the tooth implant is made from a first material with an elasticity modulus between 15 GPa and 75 GPa, wherein the abutment is made from a second material with an elasticity modulus greater than 100 GPa, and wherein the attachment bolt is made from the first material or the second material.

Dental implant for a jaw with reduced bone volume and improved osseointegration features

A dental implant has a body with a porous metal portion for engaging bone. The porous metal portion has an outer coronal to apical height and an outer diameter. Both the height and diameter are about 4 mm to about 6 mm. This permits the implant to be placed on a jaw with a reduced bone volume.

Method and system for selecting surface finishes
10061868 · 2018-08-28 · ·

A method and system of selecting a surface finish for a computer designed component associated with an anatomical area of a specific patient. A computer designed component is created. The component includes at least one surface. An interface of finishing software displays an image of the component and the at least one surface. A plurality of finishes available for the at least one surface is displayed. A selection of one of the plurality of finishes for the at least one surface is input by a user. The component data and finishing data may then be sent to a computer aided manufacturing system to manufacture the computer designed component.

EASILY RETRIEVABLE IMPLANT-ABUTMENT DEVICE
20180235736 · 2018-08-23 ·

The present invention relates to an implant-abutment comprising: a fixture, which is coupled to an alveolar bone and comprises on the inside thereof a female tapered part having a tapered shape; an abutment, which has one side comprising a male tapered part, which has a shape corresponding to the female tapered part so as to be coupled to the female tapered part in an engaging manner, and the other side having a prosthesis coupled thereto; and an elastic part provided between the female tapered part, and the male tapered part so as for the abutment to move between a locking position, in which the abutment stays coupled to the fixture and is inhibited from moving away from the alveolar bone, and a sinking position, in which the abutment moves and sinks toward the alveolar bone by the occlusal force of occluding teeth. Configured as such, the present invention allows slight movement under a predetermined external, force by the occlusal force of teeth while stably maintaining the state of being coupled to the fixture and allows the abutment to be separated and easily retrieved from the fixture, if necessary, by the application of an external force equal to or greater than a target coupling force whereby the fixture and abutment stay coupled.

Process for providing a defined surface topography to at least a portion of a ceramic body
10040727 · 2018-08-07 · ·

A Process for providing a defined surface topography to at least a portion of a ceramic body, the process comprising the subsequent steps of a) applying a layer of a calcium containing substance comprising at least one calcium compound onto the surface of at least a portion of the ceramic basic body; b) thermally treating the ceramic basic body with the layer applied thereon at an elevated temperature, whereby a calcium compound or a calcium component based on the calcium compound diffuses into the basic body to form an intermediate body, said intermediate body comprising in its outermost surface region a calcium containing crystalline phase; and c) chemically treating the outermost surface region of the intermediate body with an inorganic acid or base to partially remove the calcium containing crystalline phase, thereby obtaining the surface topography.

SURFACE PROCESSING METHOD FOR DENTAL IMPLANT

Disclosed is a surface processing method for a dental implant, the surface processing method including: (a) laser-processing a surface of an implant; (b) etching the laser-processed surface of the implant; and (c) washing the etched implant, wherein a macro surface including one or more first grooves is formed at the surface of the implant by step (a), a micro surface including one or more second grooves is formed at the surface of the implant by step (b), an outer circumferential surface of the implant includes a top portion and a bottom portion, and at least one of an average width and an average depth of the first grooves is formed to be greater at the top portion of the outer circumferential surface of the implant than at the bottom portion of the outer circumferential surface of the implant.

Surface treatment for an implant surface

A method of forming an implant to be implanted into living bone. The implant includes titanium. The method includes deforming at least a portion of a surface of the implant to produce a first micro-scale topography. The method further includes removing at least a portion of the surface to produce a second micro-scale topography superimposed on the first topography. The second micro-scale topography is generally less coarse than the first micro-scale topography. The method further includes adding a submicron topography superimposed on the first and second micro-scale topographies, the submicron topography including tube-like structures.

OSTEO-IMPLANT

An osteo-implant is provided, having a fixing segment and an implant end. The fixing segment is provided with a thread and at least one bone healing chamber. The bone healing chamber is located at a thread root of the thread. The bone healing chamber is a chamber inwardly depressed from a surface of the fixing segment. The fixing segment has a central axis. In the same section of the fixing segment, an area of a section, which is parallel to and passes through the central axis, of the at least one bone healing chamber closer to the implant end is smaller.
