DENTAL ATTACHMENT ASSEMBLY CAP AND METHOD OF USE
20230320821 · 2023-10-12 ·

A dental attachment assembly and method anchors a dental appliance with an implant and has an abutment member attached to the implant, a retention member in releasable snap engagement with the abutment member, and a cap secured in a recess of the dental appliance and in releasable swivel engagement with the retention member to position and secure the dental appliance onto the implant. The cap includes a cavity with a rounded, concave inner surface which engages with the retention member, an interior top surface of the cavity with a concave recess extending radially along an outer periphery of the interior top surface of the cavity to allow for rotation of the retention member within the cap. A central portion of the interior top surface of the cavity surrounded by the concave recess therefore protrudes vertically into the cavity to minimize vertical displacement of the retention member as it rotates.

Fixed hybrid dental attachment assembly and methods of use

A fixed hybrid dental attachment assembly is provided. The fixed hybrid dental attachment assembly includes an abutment member, a male member, and a cap. The abutment member has an outer locating surface portion projecting downwardly from an upper end. The male member for attachment to the abutment member has an upper end for engagement within a cap in a recess in a dental appliance, and a continuous, unbroken skirt projecting from the upper end of the male member for engagement over the outer locating surface of the abutment member. The skirt may have a rounded, convex outer surface, and the male member may be constructed from a PEEK material.

ANGULAR ABUTMENT FOR DENTAL IMPLANTS
20210338382 · 2021-11-04 ·

A series of abutments for dental use and a method for selection and aligning an abutment therefrom in a patient mouth. The series comprises at least three abutments. Each abutment comprises a mate of a polygonal rotation preventive adapter having an axis of rotation perpendicularly to a lateral cross section, and a support member extending from a proximal end of the mate and having rotational symmetry to the axis of rotation. A projection of the support member on a plane of the lateral cross section in at least one abutment, is asymmetric with respect to angle bisectors and medians of the polygonal shape. An angle between a straight line extending from the axis of rotation to a reference point on a projection circumference of the support member forms a unique offset angle with a side of the polygonal shape per each dental abutment in the series.

External drive implantation apparatus for bendable collar implants and method

An external drive apparatus for bendable collar implants includes a male fastener and a female driver. The male fastener is constructed as a rigid and integral unity including an implant screw, a collar, and a male screw-top drive. The female driver supports a female screw-top drive. The female driver is configured for application of an implantation torque to the implant screw via the male screw-top drive which is disposed distally away from the collar.

Fixed hybrid dental attachment assembly and methods of use

A frictionally-retained detachable dental attachment assembly or anchor device is designed to attach a dental appliance with a tooth root or implant. The assembly includes a denture attachment housing for securing in the dental appliance, an abutment attached with a tooth root or implant, and a compressible retention member with a first end in fixed attachment with the cap and a second end in snap engagement with the abutment via a frictionally-retained ball secured within a cavity of the abutment. The retention member is formed using a compressible material to allow the ball to compress and the retention member to flex while inserting the ball into the cavity. Additional friction-retained and fixed attachment configurations of the dental anchor device are provided, along with methods of securing a dental appliance in a subject's mouth by means of the friction-retained and fixed attachment dental anchor devices.

Fixation base and guides for dental prosthesis installation
11806209 · 2023-11-07 · ·

Apparatus and method for installing a multi-tooth dental prosthesis in one session are shown and described. A first tool attaches to the jawbone, and serves as a foundation for subsequently used guides. Existing teeth and dental fixtures are removed, and the bone tissue is removed to accommodate the prosthesis. Subsequently, a drill guide is used to drill implant holes. An abutment guide is then used to place abutments. Copings are then installed. Next, the prosthesis may be installed and cemented to the copings. A resinous filler material may be applied to fill gaps and holes in and between the copings and the prosthesis, and is sanded smooth.

Multi-unit dental assembly with off-axis feature

A dental assembly includes a prosthesis having a base and a plurality of artificial teeth, and at least one connecting element coupled to the prosthesis and configured to facilitate coupling of the dental assembly to a patient's oral cavity. The at least one connecting element includes a cylinder with a body having a first end, a second end, and a passageway extending between the first and second ends. The connecting element further includes an opening through a sidewall of the cylinder that is open to the passageway. The slot allows access to a fixation screw positioned in the cylinder from a direction that is angled relative to an axis of the cylinder. A method of making a dental assembly is also disclosed.

Dental replacement mounting system
11446121 · 2022-09-20 · ·

Dental implant systems, components and methods feature use of a mounting component onto which an abutment is to be cast or soldered. The mounting component is configured with an upper end that is contoured in a spherical or other suitable manner to present a surface over which the abutment can be slid into various positions on said surface at various angles relative to an axis of the implant body on which the mounting component is supported. Accordingly, the abutment can be set at a desired angle whether the this desired orientation matches or misaligns with the axis of the implant body.

DENTAL IMPLANTOLOGY USING SPHERICAL COMPONENTS

The present invention has the purpose of forming a new implantodontic system with spherical components, applied to implantology, particularly in fixed and mobile prostheses, aiming not to allow the accumulation of microorganisms that develop peri-implantitis and not compromising the osseointegration of the implant, produced in titanium metal and/or surgical stainless steel, which together form this new dental system with excellent locking and reduction in the retention of microorganisms, improving asepsis and making the development of infections extremely unlikely; consisting of implant (1) or spherical intermediates CM (10) or HE (14) or HI (17) and UCLA (8), bringing advantages of greater prosthesis angle from 0° to 45°, versatility, rigidity in the set, torque and resistance mechanics of the forces existing during chewing.
