ADAPTOR SYSTEM FOR DENTAL PROSTHESIS
The invention relates to an adaptor system for a dental prosthesis. The adaptor system comprises an abutment and an adaptor, wherein said adaptor is adapted to connect to a prior art or new implants and is also connected to the abutment by a rotational connection. The adaptor and the abutment are secured to the implant by a screw that retains the angular position of the abutment.
UNIVERSAL ALIGNING ADAPTOR SYSTEM AND METHODS
A system for dental implant restoration is provided. It includes universal aligning adaptors and prosthetic components having co-operable indices, which together form a translational, integrating system which aligns, synchronizes, and references the prosthetic components about an implant's central axis of rotation. Rotation of an adaptor about a prosthetic component, with its reference point becoming aligned to a predetermined reference point on the prosthetic component, followed by the rotation of the adaptor/prosthetic component assembly about the implant, situates the prosthetic component in a predetermined position such that all other prosthetic components become synchronized to the adaptor's reference point. The prosthetic component is mechanical for clinical or lab bench use, or is virtual for restoration design in a software program, prior to milling prosthetic abutments or devices. Abutments, healing caps and screw access holes are realigned to preferred positions and synchronized with minimal deviation from the ideal direction.
A FASTENING SYSTEM, LOCKING ELEMENT, AND PROCESS FOR FORMING A SUPERSTRUCTURE, FOR A DENTAL IMPLANT SYSTEM
A fastening system for a dental implant, the fastening system comprising: a locking element comprising a central throughgoing aperture, the aperture having a first distal portion, and a second proximal portion, the second proximal portion having a reduced inner diameter with respect to the first distal portion; a dental superstructure provided with a cavity for receiving the locking element, the cavity having a distal portion and a proximal portion separated by a shoulder, and a fastening element receivable within the cavity and the aperture, the fastening element being substantially restricted from distal displacement by the shoulder of the cavity.
Bendable prosthesis post and angular adjustment method
A bendable prosthetic abutment includes a guiding and anchoring segment, a connection zone, for connecting to an implant arranged on a gingival tissue for receiving a prosthetic abutment model, an intermediate restriction for angular orientation, a mounting and fastening portion forming an upper portion of the bondable prosthetic abutment for receiving a prosthesis, and a sacrificial and anchoring zone which has a diameter greater than a diameter of the connection zone so as to define a protuberant ring-shaped shoulder arranged between the intermediate restriction (4) and the connection zone (2) for connecting to an implant and anchoring in a cavity.
Device for determining a suitable angulation of an abutment for a dental implant, and arrangement comprising such a device
A device is provided for determining the angulation of an abutment for a dental implant. The device includes a conical projection extending from a housing. The conical projection is adapted for insertion into a hole in the dental implant. A rotary body is disposed in the housing and is rotatable among a plurality of different angular positions relative to the conical projection. A rod-shaped indicator is connected to the rotary body. The rotary body can be secured to the housing in one of the angular positions by a locking device. The device may be part of an assembly that includes an indicator device having a receiving opening for accommodating the conical projection and an indicator scale that includes a plurality of marked sectors corresponding to a plurality of predefined abutments, respectively. The location of the rod-shaped indicator relative to the marked sectors indicates the predefined abutment that should be selected.
Method for designing attachment abutments for attaching dentures to the mandible and/or maxilla
Disclosed is a method for digitally designing at least two attachment abutments, each attachment abutment comprising an implant connection section adapted for connection to a respective implant along an implant axis, a transition section separating the implant connection section and an attachment section, wherein the attachment section is adapted for receiving a mating part.
OSSEOINTEGRATIVE SURGICAL IMPLANT
Embodiments of the present invention provide an osseointegrative implant and related tools, components and fabrication techniques for surgical bone fixation and dental restoration purposes. In one embodiment an all-ceramic single-stage threaded or press-fit implant is provided having finely detailed surface features formed by ceramic injection molding and/or spark plasma sintering of a powder compact or green body comprising finely powdered zirconia. In another embodiment a two-stage threaded implant is provided having an exterior shell or body formed substantially entirely of ceramic and/or CNT-reinforced ceramic composite material. The implant may include one or more frictionally anisotropic bone-engaging surfaces. In another embodiment a densely sintered ceramic implant is provided wherein, prior to sintering, the porous debound green body is exposed to ions and/or particles of silver, gold, titanium, zirconia, YSZ, -tricalcium phosphate, hydroxyapatite, carbon, carbon nanotubes, and/or other particles which remain lodged in the implant surface after sintering. Optionally, at least the supragingival portions of an all-ceramic implant are configured to have high translucence in the visible light range. Optionally, at least the bone-engaging portions of an all-ceramic implant are coated with a fused layer of titanium oxide.
One-part tooth implant, device for bending an implant, and method for bending an implant
The invention relates to an implant (10) for anchoring in the human or animal maxilla or mandible, a device (100) (an instrument) for bending an implant, a system, which includes an implant (10) and a device (100) for bending an implant, and a method for bending an implant. As a result of the bending geometry, an implant (10) is provided which is bendable in a simple and materially-careful manner, in particular after implantation, i.e., already anchored in the jaw bone. The device (100) for bending the implant (10) enables, due to the pliers-shaped design having corresponding holding (113) and support (123) units, the bending of the implant in a simple manner, in particular the bending after implantation thereof, so that a treatment which protects the implantation region is ensured, in particular, no damage of the bone bed is induced. In addition, a method for bending the implant (10) is provided.
