Method of manufacturing a recess wall lined with bristles for a mouthpiece for simultaneously brushing at a plurality of dental positions, and a recess wall and mouthpiece obtained with the method; and dental cleaning device; and mouthpiece for brushing at a plurality of dental positions, brushing device comprising such mouthpiece, and method of operating such a mouthpiece or brushing device
The invention relates to method of manufacturing a recess wall lined with bristles for a mouthpiece for simultaneously brushing at a plurality of dental positions, and to a recess wall and mouthpiece manufactured according to the method. In a providing step, an elongate, continuous, bristled sheet part having a first side lined with a plurality of bristles is provided. The elongate sheet part defines a length axis extending parallel to the sheet part and, viewed transverse to the length axis, a cross-sectional shape. The sheet part obtained in the providing step has an initial condition in which the cross-sectional shape has an initial shape, and the length axis is arch-shaped. In a transforming step, the sheet part of the providing step is transformed from the initial condition to a final condition to provide the recess wall. In the final condition the cross-sectional shape has a final U-shape, the length axis is arch shaped, and the first side is a concave inner side of the final U-shape. The first side is in the final condition more concave than in the initial condition.
Oral hygiene systems
Oral hygiene systems and methods for their use are provided. An oral hygiene system includes a mouthpiece having an outer portion and an inner portion configured to receive at least a portion of a user's dental and gum structures, a plurality of filaments disposed within the inner portion of the mouthpiece, a water pressure irrigator configured to be selectively coupled to the outer portion of the mouthpiece and to deliver fluid to the inner portion of the mouthpiece, and a fluid reservoir in fluid communication with the water pressure irrigator and configured to deliver the fluid thereto, wherein the system is configured to generate ultrasound/ultrasonic vibration within the inner portion of the mouthpiece.
Electromagnetic Toothbrush
A magnetically controlled abrasive system (MCAS) having a magnetic system to manipulate a magnetically controlled unit is provided. More specifically, a track member is operatively coupled to a first magnetic unit and a first surface of a first body. The track member facilitates movement of the first magnetic unit with respect to the first body. A second body is positioned proximal to the first body. More specifically, at least one abrasive protrusion is operatively coupled to a second surface of the second body and a second magnetic unit is operatively coupled to the second body. The first magnetic unit generates a magnetic field which interacts with the second magnetic unit. The interaction controls movement of the second body including movement of the at least one abrasive protrusion positioned in communication with the second body.
SIMULTANEOUS CLEANING OF MULTIPLE TEETH
A method and an apparatus are disclosed for simultaneously cleaning multiple teeth, such as one or both dental arches. The Dental Cleaning Apparatus (DCA) includes a cleaning engine enclosed in a main housing, a fluid tube, and a mouthpiece. The cleaning engine includes a fluid circuit having a number of pumps and solenoid valves, and a programmable controller to control the solenoid valves and other operations. The fluid tube includes a number of separate tubes for injection and evacuation of cleaning fluid from the interior of mouthpiece. The mouthpiece is generally made from a flexible and supple material, such as silicone, and may have bristles of various shapes. The cleaning engine alternates the mouthpiece between a relaxation state and a contraction state to effectively scrub the surface of all enclosed teeth simultaneously. It may automatically learn and adjust the vacuum pressure needed for each user to optimize cleaning.
ALL-AROUND FULL-AUTOMATIC MOUTH HOLDING TYPE BRUSHING-PROTECTING INTEGRATED INTELLIGENT TOOTHBRUSH
Disclosed is an all-around full-automatic mouth holding type brushing-protecting integrated intelligent toothbrush. The toothbrush includes a crown, a host machine and a charging base; the host machine is arranged at a bottom of the crown; an adapter is arranged between the crown and the host machine; the crown and the adapter are connected via a stepped screw thread; the host machine and the adapter are connected via a clamping buckle. According to the all-around full-automatic mouth holding type brushing-protecting integrated intelligent toothbrush, the problems that the existing toothbrush has a long brushing time and needs to be held by a hand, and a toothbrush head cannot completely and accurately clean each position of teeth without a dead angle are effectively solved.
Hands-free oral care device and method
Hands-free oral care devices and methods are described herein. In one embodiment, an oral care device includes a mouthpiece configured to be received within a user's mouth, the mouthpiece including an upper bristle track and a lower bristle track that are pivotably coupled together. The device further includes a first housing component coupled to the mouthpiece such that at least a portion of the first housing component can be compressed between the upper bristle track and the lower bristle track, and a second housing component sealingly coupled to the first housing component to define a watertight cavity therebetween. A battery can be disposed within the cavity, as well as an actuator and a pressure sensitive switch that is effective to detect pressure exerted on the first housing component when the upper and lower bristle tracks pivotably move relative to one another and selectively couple the actuator to the battery.
Automatic toothbrushes
Automatic toothbrushes are disclosed herein. A toothbrush configured in accordance with embodiments of the present technology can include, for example, a handle and a mouthguard coupled to the handle. The mouthguard can be configured to be positioned within a mouth of a user over multiple teeth of the user. A brush assembly having a plurality of bristles can be removably positioned within the mouthguard for engaging and cleaning the teeth of the user. A motor can be disposed within or coupled to the handle and configured to articulate the brush assembly within the mouthguard.
Powered dental cleaning device
Powered toothbrush systems that provide improved bristle positioning and bristle contact with tooth surfaces that reduce the time and effort required for effective brushing. Some embodiments use alternating or oscillating pneumatic pressure and suction to move a toothbrush head. Various configuration of the brush head provide different areas of coverage ranging from individual tooth to quarter mouth (U-cross section), to half (U-cross section or H-cross section) or whole mouth (U-cross section or H-cross section) coverage. Some embodiments include flexible fingers and/or bladders to keep the bristle tips properly engaged with the teeth and gums, providing bristle contact over a wide variety of malocclusion. The shape of the brush heads adapts to conform closely to the shape of the user's dental tray and to any malocclusion that may be present. The powered toothbrush automatically generates motion of the brush head that simulates the Modified Bass Method of brushing.
