SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR PERSONALIZED ORAL CARE
An oral insert includes a plurality of fluid nozzles, a plurality of manifolds, and an attachment mechanism configured to be releasably attach with a handle. Each of the manifolds is associated with a corresponding subset of the plurality of fluid nozzles. The attachment mechanism includes a manifold connector having a plurality of manifold openings arranged in a circle. Each of the plurality of manifold openings is associated with one of plurality of manifolds.
POWERED DENTAL CLEANING DEVICE
Powered toothbrush systems that provide improved bristle posi-tioning and bristle contact with tooth surfaces that reduce the time and effort re-quired for effective brushing. Some embodiments use alternating or oscillating pneumatic pressure and suction to move a toothbrush head. Various configuration of the brush head provide different areas of coverage ranging from individual tooth to quarter mouth (U-cross section), to half (U-cross section or H-cross section) or whole mouth (U-cross section or H-cross section) coverage. Some embodiments include flexible fingers and/or bladders to keep the bristle tips properly engaged with the teeth and gums, providing bristle contact over a wide variety of malocclusion. The shape of the brush heads adapts to conform closely to the shape of the user's dental tray and to any malocclusion that may be present. The powered toothbrush automatically generates motion of the brush head that simulates the Modified Bass Method of brushing.
Oral health device for simultaneously brushing the surfaces of and cleaning the interproximal spaces between a user's teeth
An oral insert includes a plurality of bristles and a plurality of fluid nozzles. The plurality of bristles is located on an upper portion and a lower portion of a tray surface of the oral insert. The plurality of fluid nozzles is located at an inner portion and an outer portion of the tray surface. Fluid output by the plurality of fluid nozzles causes the plurality of bristles to contact surfaces of teeth associated with a user of the oral insert.
ALTERNATING FINGER IN AN ARCH OF A BRUSHING MOUTHPIECE
A dental appliance and method employing an arcuate mouthpiece with a plurality of substantially H-shaped plate segments having opposing side walls joined by transverse bridge portions splitting the opposing side walls into upper and inverted channels dimensioned for receiving the teeth in the maxillary dental arch and mandibular arches respectively so that one or more cleaning modules, such as tufted bristles, may be activated to simultaneously clean a working surface of the teeth of the maxillary dental arch and the teeth of the mandibular dental arch adjacent to the plate segments.
A DENTAL CLEANING SYSTEM
A dental cleaning system comprises a first wall element for mounting against the inner, lingual, tooth surfaces of one or both jaws and a second wall element for mounting against the outer, facial, tooth surfaces of said one or both jaws. A drive mechanism couples the first and second wall elements, and imparts a drive vibration of the first and second wall elements towards each other and apart from each other.
MOUTHPIECE FOR ORAL CLEANING
A mouthpiece device for fitting inside the mouth of a user and carrying an array of flexible, protruding cleaning elements for performing an oral cleaning function at a plurality of locations around the mouth at the same time. The surface(s) of the mouthpiece device which carry the cleaning elements also carry spacer elements protruding from said surface is a same general direction as the cleaning elements. The spacer elements enforce a minimum spacing between the surface(s) of the mouthpiece device body and the oral surfaces (e.g. dental surfaces) when the mouthpiece is received in the user's mouth.
HANDLE ASSEMBLIES WITH OSCILLATOR ASSEMBLIES CONTAINED THEREIN AND TEETH CLEANING SYSTEMS THAT UTILIZE THE SAME
A teeth cleaning system, which provides improved coverage or brushing area. The system includes an actuated tray comprises brushing elements. The brushing elements may be positioned to engage the front, rear, and top surfaces of the upper and lower jaw teeth. The actuation may be configured to oscillate the tray in a lateral direction which may brush all the surfaces of teeth simultaneously. Some embodiments include a higher density of bristles which increases the effectiveness of brushing. In addition, aspects of the system reduce the time spent brushing teeth.
MOUTHPIECE ASSEMBLY FOR TOOTH CLEANING WITH DEFINED VERTICAL MOVEMENT
Power toothbrushes and mouthpiece assemblies for cleaning teeth are provided. The mouthpiece assembly includes a bite block, an upper mouthpiece, and a lower mouthpiece. The bite block is configured to engage at least one tooth of the first set of teeth and at least one tooth of the second set of teeth. A driving mechanism is provided for driving movement. The bite block, the at least one tooth of the first set of teeth, and the at least one tooth of the second set of teeth create a static arrangement relative to movement of the upper mouthpiece and the lower mouthpiece when the user bites on the bite block. Movement of the upper mouthpiece and the lower mouthpiece, driven by the driving mechanism, is uninhibited when the user bites on the bite block.
Systems, methods, and adjunctive procedures for correcting malocclusion
Methods of inducing tooth movement and treating malocclusion, craniofacial anomalies, bony defects, and dentofacial deformities through accelerated bone remodeling as caused by the delivery non-static forces; reducing pain and discomfort in patients; and improving tissue integrity long-term results as to prevent post-orthodontic treatment relapse. The methods and apparatus include a mechanism for data capture and analysis related to patient compliance and usage behavior, as well as for establishing the invention as a component of the clinical office workflow to increase efficiency and productivity.
DENTAL FLOSS HOLDER
A dental floss holder includes a connecting section and at least four floss supporting arms extending from said connecting section. Each of the floss supporting arms has a first end and a second end. The first end is connected to the connecting section, and the second end includes a floss fastening portion for fastening a string of dental floss. The floss fastening portions of the at least four floss supporting arms are configured such that a string of dental floss attached to the floss fastening portions of the at least four floss supporting arms may be arranged to constitute the edges of a polyhedron.
