PROTECTIVE GARMENT HAVING ENHANCED EVAPORATIVE HEAT TRANSFER
A protective garment comprises a thermal liner, a moisture barrier, and an outer shell. The protective garment includes one or more transferal portions located at predetermined areas to enhance evaporative heat transfer. In some embodiments, the transferal portions of the protective garment have Resistance to Evaporation of a Textile (Ret) of less than 20 m2 Pa/W.
GARMENT WITH ADJUSTABLE ATTACHMENT SYSTEM
A garment arrangement includes a garment having an elongated garment portion provided with at least one garment connection portion, and an attachment means configured to be releasably connected to said garment connection portion. The attachment means is configured to be movable along the extension of said elongated garment portion. A method is also provided.
Personal pop-up pods
Disclosed herein are novel personal pop-up pods designed for a single user. The personal pop-up pods can provide a user with privacy and/or protection from the surrounding elements. The personal pop-up pods are designed such that a user can remain mobile, i.e., able to move from one location to another while using a personal pop-up pod. The personal pop-up pods are designed such that a user can selectively gain access to the area surrounding the pop-up pod by opening windows and other points of access.
TEXTILE BARRIER INCLUDING AQUEOUS SUPER ABSORBENT POLYMER COMPOSITION
A textile barrier apparatus includes an inner layer comprising an aqueous super absorbent polymer composition (SAP) and first and second outer textile layers attached to opposite sides of the inner layer. A landfill version includes an odor neutralizer, a biocide and/or a nutrient to support vegetation. A fire barrier version has the first and second outer textile layers including water permeable membrane and a fire retardant treatment. A planting groundcover version includes a patterned thickness of SAP corresponding to a planting pattern and a nutrient to support vegetation.
OUTDOOR ACTIVITY SUIT
An outdoor activity suit includes a body having a front portion, a back portion, opposed sides where the front portion connects to the back portion, a neck receiving portion, an arms receiving portion and a legs receiving portion. The front portion, the neck receiving portion and the legs receiving portion of the body form a first component of the body. The back portion and the arms receiving portion form a second component of the body. An endless loop zipper connects the first component and the second component such that the second component is selectively removable from the first component.
Ballistic vest carrier cover system with pouches for hard armor panels
Hard armor plate pouches incorporated in a ballistic vest carrier cover that has armor panel pockets with side openings and waist panels. The pouches are attached to the carrier cover outer layer inside the armor pockets with access through the outer layer. In one configuration, the pouch is a single fabric sheet attached to the outer layer around the sheet perimeter. In another configuration, the pouch is a bag that hangs freely in the pocket. The pouch is accessed via a lateral opening or a vertical opening in the outer layer that is closed by an openable fastener, such as a zipper, hook and loop fastener, or snaps. The vertical opening can be hidden behind a placket. Optionally, the waist panels have side pouches that have openings at the side or the top.
DISINFECTION METHOD AND APPARATUS
Photosensitizers are incorporated into articles, such a personal protective equipment. A method of applying continuous and consistent light includes fitting the articles with light sources and optical fibers to apply light to the areas of the articles incorporated with the photosensitizers. Photosensitizers can be applied to articles by various applicators in either a gel or solution. A gel can be particularly effective when used on hydrophobic surfaces. Photodynamic reactor systems can be used to determine the effective doses of photosensitizers and the light dosimetry which can then be applied for use with the articles.
PREDATOR REACTIVE MULTI-LAYER REPELLANT DEVICE
A multilayer protective device such as, but not limited to, a garment such as a vest or arm or leg wrap, a bag, a backpack, wraps for tents, camping items, etc. designed to be worn by domesticated or farm animals of various sizes and/or humans or placed on objects for which predator attack is to be deterred. The multilayer protective device is made from a multi-layered composite textile containing a non-toxic, non-lethal repellant substance such that upon a bite from an attacking animal, the non-toxic, non-lethal repellant substance is released deterring the attacking animal for such a time as to allow the wearer or user of the protective device to escape or be rescued.
ADSORBENT MATERIALS AND METHODS OF MAKING AND USE THEREOF
Disclosed are adsorbent materials that comprise a porous material having a continuous silica phase coated with a carbon layer, and a water-insoluble precipitate comprising a metal cation and an anion disposed substantially evenly throughout the adsorbent material. In some examples, the plurality of pores can have an average characteristic dimension of from 0.1 Å to 100 Å. The water-insoluble precipitate can be formed in the plurality of pores of the porous material by contacting the porous material with a first aqueous solution comprising a metal cation; and contacting the porous material with a second aqueous solution comprising an anion; wherein the metal cation and the anion combine to form the water-insoluble precipitate in the plurality of pores of the porous material, thereby forming the adsorbent material.
Storage System
A particular embodiment of a storage system includes at least one storage device. The storage device can store working clothing. The storage system further includes a wired and/or wireless charging device. The wired and/or wireless charging device can transmit electrical energy to an energy storage unit of the work clothing. The wired and/or wireless charging device can charge different work-clothing items of the work clothing. The work clothing can be disposed in the storage device. The storage system further includes a sensor device that can sense a characteristic variable of the work clothing.
