OCCLUDING STENT, IMPLANTER THEREOF, AND IMPLANTING METHOD THEREOF
Disclosed is an occluding stent. The occluding stent includes a distal flange occluding body, a proximal flange occluding body, and a connection portion. External surfaces of the distal flange occluding body and the proximal flange occluding body are both provided with a coating. An external surface of the connection portion is wholly or partially provided with a coating. A first occluding coating is provided between the distal flange occluding body and an inner cavity of the connection portion. The present invention overcomes the defect that the existing occluder device for closure of an esophagobronchial fistula is harmful to surrounding tissues, makes the device retractable, enhances the safety of the device, and improves life and treatment of patients. A new safe and effective treatment method for an esophagobronchial fistula is provided.
VOICE GENERATION SYSTEM AND METHOD
Described is a voice generation system. The voice generation system comprises a housing comprising a first opening and a second opening. The housing defines an air passage between the first opening and the second opening. The voice generation system comprises a moveable member located within the housing. The moveable member is configured to vibrate in response to air flowing in the air passage. The voice generation system comprises a transducer module configured to convert vibrations of the moveable member into an electrical signal. The voice generation system comprises a speaker module configured to convert the electrical signal into sound and to output sound into the oral cavity of a user. The voice generation system is configured such that during use, the air pressure at or near the second opening corresponds to an air pressure in the oral cavity of the user.
Method and device for securely loading and mounting a tubular device in a flexible wall
A loading device for inserting a bushing into a through-aperture in a flexible wall or a cap, said bushing having flanges projecting transversely at each end thereof, said flanges being resiliently foldable towards the longitudinal axis of said bushing, said loading device comprising: an inserter rod, a pincher and a loading. When the inserter is pushed distally in an insertion direction, the bushing is forced towards the loading tube which will receive the bushing therein with said flanges folded and projecting substantially axially.
INSERTION AID FOR VOICE PROSTHESES
To achieve the object of making available an insertion aid for a voice prosthesis, which insertion aid can be used universally and permits a secure hold on the voice prosthesis, such an insertion aid is proposed comprising a rod-shaped device with a head region arranged at a first end of a rod, said head region comprising a limit stop element for a voice prosthesis and, adjoining this limit stop element, a locking element for a voice prosthesis, wherein a first ring surface is formed between the limit stop element and the locking element, which ring surface is configured extending radially with respect to a longitudinal axis of the rod.
ADJUSTABLE TRACHEOSTOMA VALVE
An adjustable tracheostoma valve is disclosed. The adjustable tracheostoma valve includes a passageway for connecting the trachea with the surroundings. A valve disk is provided in the passageway. The disk is moveable to allow for inhalation and exhalation through the passageway and is configured to close in response to pressure to direct air to the patient's pharynx, esophagus, sinuses, and mouth for speech following surgical removal of the larynx.
ADJUSTABLE TRACHEOSTOMA VALVE AND HEAT AND MOISTURE EXCHANGER
An adjustable tracheostoma valve includes a housing having a first opening that is adapted to open to a tracheostoma and a second opening that opens to ambient. The housing includes a lower housing portion defining the first opening and an upper housing portion movably attached to the lower housing portion and defining the second opening. A closure member is disposed in the housing and adapted to close the second opening. A flexible membrane includes a first region connected to the closure member and a plurality of spiral shaped legs extending from the first region and connected to the housing. The upper and lower housings are axially adjustable relative to one another to adjust an amount of air flow through the valve that would cause closure of the closure member. A heat and moisture exchanger is disposed in the housing between the first opening and the second opening.
HEAT AND MOISTURE EXCHANGER
A heat and moisture exchanger (IO) for tracheostomized or laryn-gectomized patients, having a valve plate and a housing, wherein: the valve plate has a radially surrounding lip, and the housing comprises a valve seat which encloses a distal opening of the housing, the valve seat has a groove for receiving the lip, the valve plate is associated with the distal opening of the housing, and the valve plate can be moved into a closed position in which the lip engages in the groove.
Heat and moisture exchanger with lipped valve plate and grooved valve seat
A heat and moisture exchanger (IO) for tracheostomized or laryn-gectomized patients, having a valve plate and a housing, wherein: the valve plate has a radially surrounding lip, and the housing comprises a valve seat which encloses a distal opening of the housing, the valve seat has a groove for receiving the lip, the valve plate is associated with the distal opening of the housing, and the valve plate can be moved into a closed position in which the lip engages in the groove.
Easy voice prosthesis loading insertion device
A voice prosthesis insertion device includes an elongated body having an aperture therein extending axially along the elongated body. The elongated body includes a ring member at one end that is supported by a pair of straps. The elongated body has at least one region that is increasing in cross section. The elongated body further having a collapsible portion defined by a pair of openings in the elongated body. A rod is disposed in the aperture of the elongated body and including a peg adapted to be inserted into an aperture of a tether of a voice prosthesis device. The collapsible portion of the elongated body is flexible to allow the collapsible portion to be longitudinally collapsed to expose the peg of the rod for easy engagement with the strap of the voice prosthesis and the collapsible portion is extendable from the collapsed position to extend over the peg.
