A foot operated controlling device comprises an oriental base, a pedal, a sensing module and a transmission mechanism. The pedal is connected to the oriental base and tiltable relative to the oriental base. The sensing module comprises a first sensor and a second sensor. The transmission mechanism is connected to the pedal and the sensing module. The transmission mechanism comprises a transmission rod and a swing rod. The transmission rod is connected to the pedal. The swing rod is connected to the transmission rod, and an extension direction along which the swing rod is oriented is independent of an extension direction along which the transmission rod is oriented.

A user input assembly for controlling operation of a trolling motor assembly including a propulsion motor is provided herein. The user input assembly includes a support plate and a foot pedal defining a top surface that is configured to receive a user's foot thereon. The foot pedal is pivotably mounted to the support plate. A deflection sensor is in communication with the foot pedal and is configured to detect an angle of orientation of the foot pedal and output a signal corresponding with the angle of orientation of the foot pedal. The signal is receivable by a controller that is configured to control a direction of the propulsion motor of the trolling motor assembly. A feedback device is coupled with the foot pedal and configured to, in response to pivotal movement of the foot pedal about the first axis, provide a resistance force to the pivotal movement.
Non-hydraulic, integrated damping mechanism in an electronic controller assembly
A dampened electronic control for manual operation to control a machine includes a housing, a movable element pivotally supported in the housing upon a shaft with a rotation axis, and an electronic sensor configured to detect rotational movement of the shaft. A non-hydraulic damping mechanism is coupled to the moveable element, wherein the damping mechanism includes a piston disposed in a cylinder of the housing and configured to operate with air inside the cylinder as the working fluid and a spring to resiliently bias the piston towards the moveable element. Movement of the moveable element towards the piston causes the piston to compress the air inside the cylinder to thereby provide a resistance force against the moveable element to thereby dampen the movement of the moveable element.
Non-hydraulic, integrated damping mechanism in an electronic controller assembly
A dampened electronic control for manual operation to control a machine includes a housing, a movable element pivotally supported in the housing upon a shaft with a rotation axis, and an electronic sensor configured to detect rotational movement of the shaft. A non-hydraulic damping mechanism is coupled to the moveable element, wherein the damping mechanism includes a piston disposed in a cylinder of the housing and configured to operate with air inside the cylinder as the working fluid and a spring to resiliently bias the piston towards the moveable element. Movement of the moveable element towards the piston causes the piston to compress the air inside the cylinder to thereby provide a resistance force against the moveable element to thereby dampen the movement of the moveable element.

An electronic synthesizer instrument incorporating four bass pedals which can be played either with the heel or the toe of the foot, so as to allow the playing of all twelve notes in a chromatic octave with just the four pedals. The apparatus is an improvement upon existing bass pedal devices which enables easier playing of the bass parts for musicians simultaneously playing other instruments. The assignment of the pitch to the pedals is selectable, but two of the easiest-to-play embodiments are described in detail. The four pedals rock on a central pivot, each giving two distinct notes. Half pitches between notes addressed by adjacent pedals can be accessed by holding both adjacent pedals down.

A debris filtering mechanism is formed in at least one of the pivot shaft and the bore to direct contaminants away from the pedal assembly and out of the bore as the pedal arm moves between the first position and the second position.
