A printer system includes a host computer and a printer connected via a communication line. The host computer includes a first communication interface connected to the printer, a first display, and a first control unit configured to perform a first monitoring operation to determine operation states of the host computer and the printer and a communication state of the communication line in association with a monitored time, and control the first display to display a result of the first monitoring operation. The printer includes a second communication interface connected to the host computer, a second display, and a second control unit configured to perform a second monitoring operation to determine operation states of the host computer and the printer and a communication state of the communication line in association with a monitored time, and control the second display to display a result of the second monitoring operation.

A terminal apparatus including: a communication interface configured to communicate with an information processing apparatus; and a controller configured to: detect a status change indicating that a specific change has occurred in a status of the terminal apparatus; based on detecting the status change, transmit a first notification to the information processing apparatus via the communication interface, the first notification not including change information indicating the detected status change; receive a response transmitted from the information processing apparatus, the response being transmitted based on the information processing apparatus receiving the first notification; and based on receiving the response, transmit a second notification to the information processing apparatus via the communication interface, the second notification including the change information.

A printing process management apparatus includes a display unit that displays product identification information regarding a print product, including print information, and group identification information regarding a group, including the print information as a processing unit, while associating the product identification information and the group identification information with each other, a reception unit that receives an instruction to switch a display mode of the display unit and displays management information indicating a processing state of print information in one of at least two display modes comprising a first mode, in which a plurality of pieces of print information included in a product and groups, including the plurality of pieces of print information, are identified, and a second mode, in which a plurality of pieces of print information belonging to a group and print products, including the plurality of pieces of print information, are identified, and a display control unit that, if the reception unit receives the instruction to switch the display mode, identifies group identification information or product identification information selected by an operator, and displays the identified identification information differently from other pieces of identification information of a same type in a new display mode.

An image forming apparatus includes a first processor, a second processor, a data transfer portion, a consistency determination portion, an abnormality determination portion, a re-transfer control portion, and an abnormality processing portion. The data transfer portion transfers data via a bus between a storage medium and the second processor. The consistency determination portion determines whether or not there is consistency between data before and after a transfer by the data transfer portion. The abnormality determination portion, upon determination that there is consistency, determines whether or not there is abnormality in the data transfer process. The re-transfer control portion, upon determination that there is no consistency, causes the data transfer portion to re-transfer the data. The abnormality processing portion, upon determination that there is abnormality in the data transfer process, prohibits the re-transfer control portion from re-transferring the data, and executes an abnormality process to handle the abnormality.

The illustrative embodiments described herein provide systems and methods for notifying a user when a set of characters are identified in a media file. In one embodiment, a method includes receiving a set of characters inputted by the user of a computing device, playing the media file, transcribing the media file to form a transcription, and determining whether the transcription of the media file includes the set of characters. The method also includes initiating a notification prompt on a graphical user interface of the computing device in response to determining that the media file includes the set of characters.

This specification discloses a non-transitory computer-readable storage medium storing a set of program instructions for a computer configured to manage rental printers. The computer includes a controller and a memory. The set of program instructions, when executed by the controller, causes the computer to perform: referring to history information indicating a printer use history of each of a plurality of users; and determining, for a part of a target printer to be rented to a target user, whether the part satisfies a replacement condition by using the history information and a scheduled rental period. The scheduled rental period is a rental period during which the target printer is scheduled to be rented. The replacement condition indicates that the part should be replaced before the target printer is rented to the target user.

The at least one logic circuit is configured to respond to communications sent to a first address via the interface and respond to communications sent to a second address via the interface. The at least one logic circuit is configured to in response to a first command sent to the first address, draw a first current on the power terminal; and in response to a hibernate command sent to the first address, respond to communications sent to the second address and draw a second current on the power terminal less than the first current.

The image forming apparatus downloads the document data from the management server and prints the document.
