HARDWARE OFFLOADING FOR AN EMULATED IOMMU DEVICE
Disclosed is a method of managing memory of a virtual machine (VM), including receiving, at a physical input-output memory management unit (IOMMU) of a processing device operating the VM, a request from a VM IOMMU for VM memory address translation for a VM peripheral component interconnect (PCI) device created on the VM; determining, by the physical IOMMU, a corresponding VM memory address translation result based on the request as received and a memory translation table; and transmitting, by the physical IOMMU to the VM IOMMU, the corresponding VM memory address translation result for servicing the request for VM memory address translation of the VM PCI device.
Memory management method, electronic device and storage medium
The present disclosure provides a memory management method, and belongs to the technical field of networks. The method includes: allocating a first memory address to video frame data based on a memory multiplexing queue, wherein the memory multiplexing queue records a memory address of video frame data that has been rendered; storing the video frame data in a memory space indicated by the first memory address; and adding the first memory address to the memory multiplexing queue after performing rendering based on the video frame data.
MEMORY ACCESS TRACING
Examples described herein relate to circuitry, when operational, configured to: store records of memory accesses to a memory device by at least one requester based on a configuration, wherein the configuration is to specify a duration of memory access capture. In some examples, the at least one requester comprises one or more workloads running on one or more processors. In some examples, the configuration is to specify collection of one or more of: physical address ranges or read or write access type.
Hashing with Soft Memory Folding
In an embodiment, a system may support programmable hashing of address bits at a plurality of levels of granularity to map memory addresses to memory controllers and ultimately at least to memory devices. The hashing may be programmed to distribute pages of memory across the memory controllers, and consecutive blocks of the page may be mapped to physically distant memory controllers. In an embodiment, address bits may be dropped from each level of granularity, forming a compacted pipe address to save power within the memory controller. In an embodiment, a memory folding scheme may be employed to reduce the number of active memory devices and/or memory controllers in the system when the full complement of memory is not needed.
Roll back of data delta updates
Disclosed embodiments relate to adjusting vehicle Electronic Control Unit (ECU) software versions. Operations may include receiving a prompt to adjust an ECU of a vehicle from executing a first version of ECU software to a second version of ECU software; configuring, in response to the prompt and based on a delta file corresponding to the second version of ECU software, the second version of ECU software on the ECU in the vehicle for execution; and configuring, in response to the prompt, the first version of ECU software on the ECU in the vehicle to become non-executable.
Communication gateway for communicating data frames for a motor vehicle
A communication gateway for communicating data frames for a motor vehicle, the gateway being intended to be connected to a plurality of electronic control units in order to exchange data frames, the gateway including: as many management modules as there are electronic control units; a memory in which are stored a lookup table including an index list, with each of the indices of which is associated a memory space, a level-zero addressing table, a level-one addressing table, a level-two addressing table and an address table of levels; a space manager for managing spaces of the lookup table that is configured to determine a free index in the lookup table, and when a memory space of the lookup table is freed or is filled, to modify the byte stored in each memory region of each addressing table associated with the index.
Fail-safe post copy migration of virtual machines
A hypervisor on a destination host receives a request to migrate a virtual machine (VM) from a source host to the destination host and determines a total amount of memory associated with the VM on the source host. The hypervisor on the destination host allocates one or more memory pages in a page table on the destination host to satisfy the total amount of memory associated with the VM on the source host, where the one or more memory pages are to be associated with the VM on the destination host. Responsive to determining that the one or more memory pages have been allocated on the destination host, the hypervisor on the destination host initiates migration of the VM from the source host to the destination host.
EXTENDED UTILIZATION AREA FOR A MEMORY DEVICE
Methods, systems and devices for configuring access to a memory device are disclosed. The configuration of the memory device may be carried out by creating a plurality of access profiles that are adapted to optimize access to the memory device in accordance with a type of access. For example, when an application with specific memory access needs is initiated, the memory access profile that is designed for that particular access need may be utilized to configure access to the memory device. The configuration may apply to a portion of the memory device, a partition of the memory device, a single access location on the memory device, or any combination thereof.
DETECTING ANOMALIES ONLINE USING CONTROLLER PROCESSING ACTIVITY
Disclosed embodiments relate to identifying Electronic Control Unit (ECU) anomalies in a vehicle. Operations may include monitoring, in the vehicle, data representing real-time processing activity of the ECU; accessing, in the vehicle, historical data relating to processing activity of the ECU, the historical data representing expected processing activity of the ECU; comparing, in the vehicle, the real-time processing activity data with the historical data, to identify at least one anomaly in the real-time processing activity of the ECU; and implementing a control action for the ECU when the at least one anomaly is identified.
Pseudo-First In, First Out (FIFO) Tag Line Replacement
A method is provided that includes searching tags in a tag group comprised in a tagged memory system for an available tag line during a clock cycle, wherein the tagged memory system includes a plurality of tag lines having respective tags and wherein the tags are divided into a plurality of non-overlapping tag groups, and searching tags in a next tag group of the plurality of tag groups for an available tag line during a next clock cycle when the searching in the tag group does not find an available tag line.
