ADJUSTABLE PROSTHETIC LIMB SYSTEM
20200113715 · 2020-04-16 ·

An adjustable socket system includes a socket frame having a proximal area, a distal area opposite the proximal area, a first component arranged along a first side of the socket system, and a second component arranged along a second side of the socket system. The first component is connected to the second component. A tubular insert is arranged on an interior of at least the proximal area of the socket frame. The tubular insert forms an interior surface of the socket system. At least one tensioning element operatively connects the tubular insert to the first and/or second components. At least one tensioner is attached to the at least one tensioning element that selectively tensions the tensioning element to adjust a circumference of at least one area of the socket system.

LINER FOR A PROSTHESIS

A liner for a prosthesis, wherein the liner is made of a liner material and comprises a proximal opening for accommodating an amputation stump, a distal end, a longitudinal direction, which extends from the proximal opening to the distal end, and an auxetic material The auxetic material is a two-dimensional-auxetic material, which is arranged in such a way that an extension of the liner in the longitudinal direction leads to an expansion of a diameter of the liner.

Apparatus for Applying a Compression Bandage
20200085631 · 2020-03-19 ·

The inventive apparatus disclosed herein enables a user to apply a compression bandage to his or her residual limb without assistance from a physical therapist or an assistant. As used herein, the compressive bandage serves as a as a transition layer between a residual limb and a prosthetic device. The inventive apparatus enables a user to apply a compression bandage by simply moving his or her residual limb through the device.

Non-snag prosthetic foot and leg

The present disclosure illustrates a prosthetic foot that may reduce snagging on external obstacles. In some embodiments, a prosthetic foot includes a symmetric wear member that is rotatable to allow a user to alter an orientation of the symmetric wear member for even wear. A cuff may couple to the symmetric wear member, and include the proximal end comprising a receptacle with an opening having an adjustable diameter. The receptacle may be sized and shaped to receive and selectively retain the prosthesis pylon by adjusting the diameter of the opening. The prosthetic foot may further include a vertical adjustment mechanism that selectively alters a depth of the receptacle of the cuff to vertically displace the prosthesis pylon.

A disarticulated compression socket configured to secure a residual limb. The disarticulated compression socket may include a rigid socket frame having one or more compression apertures each having one or more disarticulated compression inserts. Each disarticulated compression insert may be coupled with and/or responsive to a compression band configured to compress the disarticulated compression inserts and thereby secure a residual limb within the rigid socket frame.

Prosthesis devices can include sockets having adjustable features. In one example, a socket includes one or more panels that can move outwardly or inwardly relative to a receptacle portion of the socket. The panels can be moved by tightening a tensioning line.

Prosthetic socket

The present invention provides a prosthetic socket (10) having a longitudinal axis X for attachment to a limb of a patient having first and second sides (A, B) which comprises a first portion (20) having a first edge (22), a second edge (24) a first end (26) and a second end (28) and second portion (30) having a first edge (32) a second edge (34) a first end (36) and a second edge (38). A hinge (40) is connecting the first edge (22) of the first portion (20) to the first edge (32) of the second portion (30) and a clasp (50) is provided between the second edge (24) of the first portion (20) and the second edge (34) of the second portion (30). Such an arrangement allows for a prosthetic socket (10) to be more easily attached and removed to a patients limb.
