METHOD OF MANAGING THE RIGHT OF ACCESS TO A DIGITAL CONTENT
The invention relates to a method of managing access by a transfer device (CL1&CL3) to a content stored on a content server (SCNT), a transfer device being associated with an identifier, the method being characterized in that it comprises a prior stage including a device (MOB1) requesting authorization to access the content, the authorization request being accompanied by at least one identifier of a transfer device (CL1&CL3) that is authorized to access the content, followed by a step of making available access data (TK/SGN(TK)) for accessing the content, the access data including said at least one identifier (CL1&CL3), and a step of accessing the content, including: i. a step of the transfer device (CL1) obtaining access data; ii. the transfer device requesting access to the content, the request including the access data and the identifier of the transfer device originating the request; and iii. the transfer device receiving the content if the identifier of the transfer device (CL1) originating the transmission corresponds to an identifier authorized to access the content.
FRAMEWORK FOR PREVENTING SOFTWARE PIRACY IN VIRTUAL MACHINES (VMS) BY USING VIRTUAL HARDWARE ENCRYPTION VERIFICATION
One example method includes receiving, from a VM, a request for a software license, in response to the request, transmitting a UUID to the VM, receiving, from the VM, a response that comprises a first encrypted UUID corresponding to the request, and transmitting a client object that includes the first encrypted UUID, and the client object serves as a request for entry of the client object in a database of a cloud computing site.
Setup support system, information processing apparatus, image forming apparatus, and method for controlling setup support system
A setup support system having a plurality of image forming apparatuses, an information processing apparatus that generates an instruction sheet, and a license management server that manages a license of software; the image forming apparatus comprising: at least one processor and memory storing a program that makes the processor function as: an analysis unit configured to analyze an instruction sheet and identify the instruction sheet type; an acquiring unit configured to acquire software information of software installed in the image forming apparatus from the license management server if the analysis unit identifies that the instruction sheet type is a second type; a determination unit configured to determine a setup process and the order of execution of the setup process based on the software information and the instruction sheet; and an execution unit configured to execute the setup process in accordance with the determination of the determination unit.
Streamlining licensing entitlement
A software licensing verification and installation system includes a client computing system in signal communication with a service provider computing system. The client computing system is configured to generate a request for at least one software product. The service provider computing system is configured to determine hardware information and software information of the client computing system, to receive a client license provided by the client computing system corresponding to the at least one software product, and to verify the client license based on the hardware information and software information.
Apparatus and method and computer program for retrieving a remote media content and vehicle or aircraft
An apparatus for retrieving a remote media content owned by a user to a vehicle or an aircraft, includes an authorization controller for obtaining an access authorization from the user, the access authorization indicating that the authorization controller is authorized to access the remote media content; a detector for detecting whether the user is located at or in the vehicle or the aircraft and for generating a detection result; and a media content retriever for retrieving the remote media content using the access authorization when the detection result indicates that the user is located at or in the vehicle or the aircraft and for not retrieving the remote media content when the detection result indicates that the user is not located at or in the vehicle or aircraft.
Server-side audio rendering licensing
A content server system is provided that includes at least one processor configured to store a user account for a user at a content server of the content server system that is configured to serve server-side rendered content to a client computing device of the user. Audio is played out via a sound output device associated with the client computing device. The at least one processor is further configured to determine a licensing identifier associated with a device of the user or the user account of the user, send the licensing identifier to a third-party licensing server device, receive an indication that an active license is associated with the licensing identifier, determine that the user is authorized to access a digital rights managed audio rendering software, and cause audio of the server-side rendered content to be rendered using audio rendering algorithms of the digital rights managed audio rendering software.
Processing unit subtype configuration
An aspect includes receiving a software image file set and a capacity requirement at a software image distribution system. A software image is generated based on the software image file set. A license record is generated based on the capacity requirement. The software image and the license record are provided to an external interface of the software image distribution system. An installation action is triggered by the software image distribution system on to a machine based on a request of an ordering system.
System and method for automatically managing media content
A method, computer program product and computing device for receiving a request to load at least one new media content item on a personal media device. The size of the at least one new media content item is compared with the amount of storage space remaining on the personal media device to determine if the personal media device has sufficient available storage space. If the personal media device does not have sufficient available storage space, a relative weight associated with at least one old media content item stored on the personal media device is ascertained, the relative weight corresponding to a likelihood that the at least one old media content item will be rendered on the personal media device.
METHOD, ELECTRONIC DEVICE, AND COMPUTER PROGRAM PRODUCT FOR SYSTEM FEATURE MANAGEMENT
Embodiments of the present disclosure relate to a method, an electronic device, and a computer program product for system feature management. The method for system feature management provided by the embodiments of the present disclosure includes loading a feature item set including multiple feature items, where the multiple feature items respectively correspond to multiple microservices, the feature items each include at least an availability indicator and a status indicator, the availability indicator indicates whether the feature item is available, and the status indicator indicates whether the feature item is enabled while the feature item is available; and disabling a first feature item in the feature item set in response to an availability indicator of the first feature item indicating that the first feature item is unavailable. In this way, software can be made to better adapt to more platforms. Moreover, a user can choose to enable or disable some services as required, thereby reducing energy consumption.
TIME-RESTRICTED AND NODE-LOCKED LICENSE
A device stores a first public key of a first cryptographic key pair. A second cryptographic key pair node-locked to and stored on the device is digitally signed with a first private key of the first key pair. A license stored on the device is digitally signed with a second private key of the second key pair to node-lock the license to the device, and the second private key is deleted from the device. The license is time-locked to time of digital signature. The license is authenticated against a second public key of the second key pair, and the second public key is authenticated against the first public key. The license is validated against the device and against a current time.
