Systems and methods are presented for the automatic placement of rules applied to topics in a logical hierarchy when conducting natural language processing. In some embodiments, a method includes: accessing, at a child node in a logical hierarchy, at least one rule associated with the child node; identifying a percolation criterion associated with a parent node to the child node, said percolation criterion indicating that the at least one rule associated with the child node is to be associated also with the parent node; associating the at least one rule with the parent node such that the at least one rule defines a second factor for determining whether the document is to also be classified into the parent node; accessing the document for natural language processing; and determining whether the document is to be classified into the parent node or the child node based on the at least one rule.

A computer implemented method for identifying one or more data elements in an input data stream formed from an input data structure using processing enabled by a processor-executable instruction can be stored on a non-transitory computerized storage medium. This stored method includes identifying a plurality of candidate named entities in one or more input document strings; identifying a plurality of enumerable markers in the one or more input document strings; associating at least one candidate named entity with at least one associated enumerable marker; associating at least one proximity string with at least one associated enumerable marker; determining a plurality of named entity descriptions based on the proximity strings; and providing the output data.

An apparatus includes a memory and a processor. The memory stores a document that includes a sequence of parts. Each part includes one or more strings of text. The processor displays a sequence of elements and the sequence of parts on a GUI. Each element corresponds to a part and is located at a position within the sequence of elements matching a position of the corresponding part within the sequence of parts. The processor receives information associated with a repositioning of a first element, corresponding to a first part, from a first to a second position within the sequence of elements. In response, the processor updates the sequence of elements by moving the first element from the first position to the second position, and updates the sequence of parts by moving the first part from a matching first position to a matching second position within the sequence of parts.

An apparatus includes a memory and a processor. The memory stores a document that includes a sequence of parts. Each part includes one or more strings of text. The processor displays a sequence of elements and the sequence of parts on a GUI. Each element corresponds to a part and is located at a position within the sequence of elements matching a position of the corresponding part within the sequence of parts. The processor receives information associated with a repositioning of a first element, corresponding to a first part, from a first to a second position within the sequence of elements. In response, the processor updates the sequence of elements by moving the first element from the first position to the second position, and updates the sequence of parts by moving the first part from a matching first position to a matching second position within the sequence of parts.

Systems and methods are disclosed for manually and programmatically remediating websites to thereby facilitate website navigation by people with diverse abilities. For example, an administrator portal is provided for simplified, form-based creation and deployment of remediation code, and a machine learning system is utilized to create and suggest remediations based on past remediation history. Voice command systems and portable document format (PDF) remediation techniques are also provided for improving the accessibility of such websites.
Linking an entity relating to product development to a document portion
A hierarchical representation of entities relate to development of at least one product. A portion of a document is selected. For the selected portion of the document, an indication associated with at least one of the entities in the hierarchical representation is received. Based on the received indication, a link is created between the selected portion of the document and the at least one of the entities in the hierarchical representation.
