SYSTEMS, APPARATUS, ARTICLES OF MANUFACTURE, AND METHODS TO GENERATE DIGITIZED HANDWRITING WITH USER STYLE ADAPTATIONS

Systems, apparatus, articles of manufacture, and methods to generate digitized handwriting with user style adaptations are disclosed. An example apparatus includes at least one memory, and processor circuitry to train a machine learning model to generate a first digitized handwriting sequence based on a stored handwriting sample. To train the machine learning model, the processor circuitry is to cause a parameterization of a first portion of the machine learning model; and cause a reparameterization of a second portion of the machine learning model. The processor circuitry to re-train the trained machine learning model to generate a second digitized handwriting sequence based on a user handwriting sample.

A display apparatus includes circuitry to receive hand drafted data input by an electronic pen; display, on a screen, a plurality of character string candidates converted in a recognition language from the hand drafted data; and display a converted character string converted from one of the plurality of character string candidates, selected by the electronic pen, into a target language associated with identification information of the electronic pen. The target language is different from the recognition language. In response to selection of the converted character string, the circuitry displays a plurality of character string candidates in the recognition language corresponding to the converted character string.

SEQUENCE LABELING TASK EXTRACTION FROM INKED CONTENT

A computer system is provided that includes one or more processors configured to receive user input for inked content to a digital canvas, and process the inked content to determine one or more writing regions. Each writing region includes recognized text and one or more document layout features associated with that writing region. The one or more processors are further configured to tokenize a target writing region of the one or more writing regions into a sequence of tokens, process the sequence of tokens of the target writing region using task extraction subsystem that operates on tokens representing both the recognized text and the one or more document layout features of the target writing region, segment the target writing region into one or more sentence segments, and classify each of the one or more sentence segments as a task sentence or a non-task sentence.

Generating visual feedback

A method for generating visual feedback based on a textual representation comprising obtaining and processing a textual representation, identifying at least one textual feature of the textual representation, assigning at least one feature value to the at least one textual feature, and generating visual feedback based on the textual representation. The generated visual feedback comprises at least one visual feature corresponding to the at least one textual feature. A system for generating visual feedback based on a textual representation, comprising a capturing subsystem configured to capture the textual representation, a processing subsystem configured to identify at least one textual feature and to generate visual feedback based on the textual representation, and a graphical user output configured to display the generated visual feedback. The visual feedback generated based on the textual representation comprises at least one visual feature corresponding to the at least one textual feature.

SEGMENT ERASER

Technologies are described for a segment eraser, where predefined graphical shapes or ink entries (hand drawn shapes through touch, gesture, or similar input) are modified through deletion of one or more segments, rotation, resizing, color changes, and comparable ones. Binary shape operations such as union combination, fragmenting intersection, and subtraction are performed on underlying shapes to create new shapes in predictable ways. A segment eraser according to embodiments works from endpoint to endpoint of the underlying shape outlines, on dosed shape areas when the shapes have no outline, and on dry ink strokes up to intersections with other ink entries.

DRAWING INTEGRATION INTO E-MAIL SYSTEM

An electronic mail (email) system detects initiation of drawing functionality. A drawing file is then generated on a separate, selected device and uploaded to the e-mail system. The drawing file represents a drawing that is integrated into an electronic mail message, in-line with other message content, in the e-mail system.

USING A STYLUS TO INPUT TYPED TEXT INTO TEXT BOXES

The technology relates to allowing a user to enter text into text boxes using a stylus. For instance, first user input identifying a text box displayed on a display of the computing device may be received. Based on the received first user input, a handwriting field may be generated on the display without visual impact on the display. A second user input within the handwriting field may be received. The second user input may be converted into typed text, and the typed text may be displayed in the text box.

Device, method, and graphical user interface for editing screenshot images
11681866 · 2023-06-20 · ·

An electronic device: displays a first portion of content within an application interface; detects a screenshot capture input; and, in response to detecting the screenshot capture input: captures a screenshot image of the first portion of the content; and displays a screenshot editing interface that includes the screenshot image of the first portion of the content within an image area and expansion affordances provided to expand the screenshot image. The electronic device also: while displaying the screenshot editing interface, detects an expansion input that corresponds to expanding the screenshot image in one or more dimensions; and, in response to detecting the expansion input, modifies the screenshot image by displaying a second portion of the content within the image area in addition to the first portion of the content, where the second portion of the content was not displayed before detecting the screenshot capture input.
