Securing apparatus for a prosthetic leg
A securing apparatus for a prosthetic leg including a belt strap, a pair of hook and loop fasteners disposed on the belt strap, and a pair of top attachment loops attached to the belt strap. A sled-shaped support attachment includes a flattened base portion, a pair of support extensions, and a pair of bottom attachment loops. Each of a right ratchet strap and a left ratchet strap of a pair of ratchet straps has an upper spring-loaded clip and a lower spring-loaded clip. The upper spring-loaded clip of each of the right ratchet strap and the left ratchet strap is attachable to the right top attachment loop and the left top attachment loop, respectively. The lower spring-loaded clip of each of the right ratchet strap and the left ratchet strap is attachable to a right bottom attachment loop and a left bottom attachment loop, respectively, of the support attachment.
Socket system for a prosthesis, prosthesis and production method
The invention relates to a socket system for a prosthesis. The socket system including a prosthesis socket which has a proximal opening for receiving a residual limb and a distal end and which is made, at least partially, of a first fiber-reinforced plastic. The socket system also includes an adapter element which is arranged on the distal end of the prosthesis socket and is designed in such a manner that a distal prosthesis element can be secured to the adapter element. The adapter element includes a base body which is made, at least partially, of a second fiber-reinforced plastic.
Prosthetic Attachment
A prosthetic attachment for a prosthetic limb. A base is attached to the prosthetic limb. The base has a magnet that is surrounded by base valleys and base peaks. An attachment piece is attached to the prosthetic attachment. The attachment piece also has a magnet that is surrounded by attachment piece valleys and attachment piece peaks. The magnetic force between the base magnet and the attachment piece magnet attracts the prosthetic attachment to the prosthetic limb so that the base peaks and valleys mates with the attachment piece peaks and valleys for a secure removable attachment. In a preferred embodiment a locking device is used to further secure the prosthetic attachment to the prosthetic limb. In a preferred embodiment the prosthetic attachment is a prosthetic hand and the prosthetic limb is a prosthetic arm.
Prosthetic Blade Attachment System
An attachment system for use with a prosthetic device includes a first component including a first surface, and further including one of a channel and a projection disposed on an opposite side of the first component than the first surface. A second component including a second surface, and including the other of the channel and the projection disposed on an opposite side of the second component than the second surface, the other slidably engaging the channel or the projection to selectively couple the first component and the second component together. One of the first surface and the second surface is operable to be attached to the prosthetic device, and the other is operable to be attached to a sole structure having a ground-engaging surface.
Magnetic electrical connector for assistive devices
A magnetic and electrical interface that may be used with an assistive device. The interface comprises a proximal connector and a distal connector. The proximal connector may be attached to a liner for a residual limb and the distal connector may be attached to a hard socket or other aspect of an assistive device. Other aspects of and uses for the connector interface are also disclosed.
Arm prosthetic device
A prosthetic limb including a plurality of segments that provide a user of the prosthetic limb with substantially the same movement capability and function as a human arm. The segments are connectable to one another and connectable to a prosthetic support apparatus. The prosthetic limb includes a controller and at least one antenna in connection with the controller for transmitting and receiving signals, the at least one antenna including a housing of a segment of the prosthetic limb as a radiating element. The prosthetic limb further including a user interface incorporated therein and one or more communication systems for communicating with external devices. The user interface is integrally formed in the housing and includes a status indicator for displaying information. A flexible protective cover is disposed around a portion of the housing and covers the user interface, the flexible protective cover includes a translucent portion over the status indicator.
Prosthetic attachment device for osseointegrated implants
Technology is described for easy and safe attachment of a prosthetic limb to a percutaneous post that has been osseointegrated into the remnant limb of an individual with limb loss. A quick-disconnect device for a prosthetic limb can comprise a percutaneous post support assembly comprising a post locking assembly attached to a percutaneous post. A roller support can be coupled to the percutaneous post support assembly and can support torsional breakaway rollers. A release housing assembly can be coupled to the percutaneous post support assembly, and can comprise a limb support housing supporting a limb attachment structure to support a prosthetic limb. The release housing assembly comprises a torsional breakaway spring. The plurality of torsional breakaway rollers are each biased to the torsional breakaway spring to generate a spring force to restrict or limit rotation of the percutaneous post support assembly. Other breakaway springs and rollers are provided for bending release and axial release.
PROSTHESIS COMPRISING A PROGRAMMED MAGNETIC INTERLOCK
In some examples, a prosthesis system comprises a socket housing comprising a socket configured to receive a residual limb of a wearer. The socket housing further comprising a pylon extending distally of the socket. The socket housing further comprising a first interlock structure at a distal end of the pylon where the first interlock structure comprises a first one or more programmed magnets. The prosthesis system further comprising an extremity unit configured to be attached to and removed from the pylon where the extremity unit comprises a second interlock structure comprising a second one or more programmed magnets. The pylon and the extremity unit are configured such that, when the extremity unit is attached to the pylon, the first and second one or more programmed magnets are positioned and oriented to magnetically attract each other and secure the extremity unit to the pylon.
UPPER LIMB PROSTHESES
An upper limb prosthetic device may comprise a hybrid-drive prosthetic device that includes one or more actuators fixed to a first arm portion and one or more cables extending from the one or more actuators along one or more cable paths defined through the first arm portion and a second arm portion to a terminal device/device assembly, where the one or more cables are configured to be actuated by the one or more actuators and are further configured to be actuated by pivoting the second arm portion toward the first arm portion, Alternatively, or additionally, the upper limb prosthetic device may comprise a modular prosthetic device that includes a modular terminal device assembly with removably coupled first, second, and third modular links configured to control the respective yaw, pitch, and roll of an end effector (e.g a prosthetic hand, a tool, an instrument or any other attachment).
