Follow-Up Messages After In-Store Shopping
Example embodiments of the present disclosure include a system comprising a computer-readable storage medium storing at least one program and a computer-implemented method for provisioning follow up messages to individuals after an in-store retail shopping experience. Consistent with some embodiments, the method may include identifying an item of interest to an individual while in a retail store. The method may further include detecting the individual leaving the retails store, and in response to the individual leaving the retail store, transmitting a message to a mobile device of the individual to remind the individual of the item of interest.
CIRCUIT FOR WIRELESS DATA TRANSFER COMPRISING TEMPERATURE REGULATION
A circuit for an NFC chip is described herein. According to one exemplary configuration, the circuit comprises an antenna for near field communication, an antenna resonant circuit which has an adjustable resonant frequency, a temperature sensor and a controller circuit coupled to the temperature sensor. The controller circuit is designed to change the resonant frequency of the antenna resonant circuit according to a temperature sensor signal provided by the temperature sensor.
READING APPARATUS AND METHOD
A reading apparatus includes a communication unit, a scanner, and a processor. The communication unit communicates with a wireless tag provided on paper. The scanner scans the paper. The processor acquires data from the wireless tag through the communication unit, acquires an image from the paper by using the scanner, and generates a file in which the data is embedded in the image as hidden characters.
Multi-use near field communication front end on a point of sale system
Methods and systems related to near field communication (NFC) front ends for point of sale terminals are disclosed. One point of sale system includes an applications microprocessor programmed to: (i) instantiate an operating system for the point of sale system and (ii) generate a set of data packets. The system also includes a discrete microcontroller communicatively coupled with the applications microprocessor and programmed to: (i) selectively operate in an unsecure mode and a secure mode; and (ii) filter, when operating in the unsecure mode, the set of data packets received from the applications microprocessor using a filter and a whitelist for the filter. The system also includes a near field communication front end communicatively coupled to the discrete microcontroller and an antenna, for transmitting a near field communication signal based on information from the set of data packets via the antenna.
Contactless condiment dispenser
A contactless or touchless dispenser is provided, such as for condiments or similar food service related items. The dispenser allows a user to obtain a quantity of a condiment without being required to touch the condiment dispenser. The dispenser includes a controller for controlling a dispensing mechanism, such as in response to an instruction received from a remote device, or by touchless input, such as by detecting a utensil. The controller may control the dispensing mechanism to cause the dispenser to dispense condiment for a particular period of time or to dispense a particular quantity of condiment.
Method and device for managing information exchange between a main element, for example a NFC controller, and a set of at least two auxiliary elements
A device, including a main element (ME) and a set of at least two auxiliary elements (SEi), said main element including a master SWP interface (MINT), each auxiliary element including a slave SWP interface (SLINTi) connected to said master SWP interface of said NFC element through a controllably switchable SWP link (LK) and management means (PRMprocessor, CTLM, AMGi) configured to control said SWP link switching for selectively activating at once only one slave SWP interface on said SWP link.
SYSTEM, APPARATUS AND METHODS FOR DETERMINATION OF TRIGGER EVENTS USING RADIO-FREQUENCY IDENTIFICATION DEVICES
Systems and apparatus for the determination of trigger events using radio-frequency identification devices. In one embodiment, the system includes radio-frequency devices, one or more wireless access points, and monitoring software. The system operates by detecting a trigger event by a radio-frequency identification device; switching from a default identifier to an alert identifier for the radio-frequency identification device; determining whether to transmit the alert identifier for the radio-frequency identification device; and transmitting the alert identifier for the radio-frequency identification device to a wireless access point. Methods for determination of trigger events using radio-frequency identification devices are also disclosed.
MEDICAL SUPPLY CABINET WITH MEDICAL SUPPLY CONTENTS HAVING RADIO FREQUENCY IDENTIFICATION TAGS
A medical supply cabinet includes a housing; a medical supply cabinet identifying radio frequency identification tag located on the housing; and a plurality of medical supply packages, each medical supply package containing a specific medical supply. Each medical supply package includes a discarded portion created when the medical supply package is opened. The discarded portion of the medical supply package includes a medical supply package radio frequency identification tag identifying the specific medical supply associated with the medical supply package.
SYSTEMS CONTAINING MULTIPLE READ ZONES AND METHODS OF USE THEREOF
Systems and methods of using multiple read area zones to generate more accurate item-level data are described herein. In some embodiments, the systems and methods involve a local read area in combination with a wide read area. In some embodiments, a local area read device alone, or in combination with a wide area read device, is used to detect the removal or return of a product from a merchandising location or area in retail establishment. In some embodiments, a local area read alone, or in combination with a wide area read device, is used to detect the removal or return of a product from a merchandising location or area in retail establishment by detecting/reading a digital trigger on the product.
DELIVERY SYSTEM
A delivery system generates a pick sheet containing a plurality of SKUs based upon an order. A loaded pallet is imaged to identify the SKUs on the loaded pallet, which are compared to the order prior to the loaded pallet leaving the distribution center. The loaded pallet may be imaged while being wrapped with stretch wrap. At the point of delivery, the loaded pallet may be imaged again and analyzed to compare with the pick sheet.
