Computer-implemented methods, computer program products, and systems are provided for performing Near Field Communication (NFC) communication with a first NFC device that includes a NFC writable component and an operating system that restricts writing to the NFC writable component and allows reading NDEF messages from a source other than the NFC writable component. A method includes receiving, by a remote server, a serial number of the NFC writable component. The method further includes generating, by the remote server, a unique ID based on the serial number. The method also includes storing, by the remote server, the unique ID with a name of the NFC writable component. The method additionally includes preparing and sending, by the remote server, a Near Field Communication Data Exchange Format (NDEF) message to the NFC device that includes the unique ID together with information to be shared with a user of the NFC device.

Near field communication method of detection of a tag presence by a tag reader
09729209 · 2017-08-08 · ·

A Near Field Communication method performed by a tag reader detects whether a tag is present. The method includes stimulating the tag reader's transmitter to generate an impulse response, evaluating the impulse response generated by the transmitter to obtain an evaluated impulse response, and assessing whether a tag is present based on the evaluated impulse response.

Interconnect assembly

An interconnect assembly is disclosed herein. An example includes a wireless connector to wirelessly transceive data to and from a first device and a connector to transceive data to and from a second device. The interconnect assembly additionally includes an interface selector to establish a communications protocol to exchange the data between the first device and the second device.

DONGLE FOR OUTPUTTING AN ULTRASOUND IMAGE ACQUIRED AT AN ULTRASOUND MACHINE CONTROLLED BY A MULTI-USE DISPLAY DEVICE, AND RELATED METHODS

The present embodiments relate generally to methods for providing viewing access to an ultrasound image feed generated at an ultrasound imaging machine. A multi-use display device may form a first link-layer connection with the ultrasound image machine for transmitting commands that control imaging parameters of the ultrasound image feed. The multi-use display device may then: determine link-layer connection parameters that allow the ultrasound imaging machine to form a second link-layer connection with a receiving device (the receiving device having no link-layer connection with the ultrasound imaging machine), and provide the connection parameters to the receiving device. The ultrasound imaging machine forms a second link-layer connection with the receiving device, based the connection parameters. The second link-layer connection is then used for receiving, at the receiving device, the ultrasound image feed controlled by the multi-use display device.

SEED TREATMENT FACILITIES, METHODS, AND APPARATUS

A seed treatment system having a central computerized data store, a user interface, and network connections from the data store to a plurality of retail facilities and a plurality of agricultural produce suppliers. Each retail facility having a seed treatment system configured to uniformly treat batches of seeds with any of a variety of precisely measured chemical formulations. The seed treatment apparatus having a treatment applicator coupled to a plurality of dispensing stations. Each dispensing stations having a pump in fluid communication with a container disposed on a scale. The pump and scale of each dispensing station coupled to a system controller. The system controller is coupled to the data store, configured to provide on-demand agricultural seed treatments to the applicator and chemical usage data from each station to the data store. The data store configured to provide centralized remote monitoring inventory control, supply chain monitoring, and container recycling compliance.

Methods and devices for tagging of animals
11238249 · 2022-02-01 · ·

Methods and devices for providing access to identity information stored in an electronic chip in a system where a unique animalis tagged with an electronic chip and provided with a transponder configured to be able to read the electronic chip. The transponder stores the identity read from the chip in local memory and responds to information request messages by broadcasting the read identity as a beacon signal. The information request message is typically received from an authorized device, while the response beacon signal may be received by any device capable of receiving beacon signals. The identity code received as part of the beacon signal can be used by the receiving device to request access to information relating to the unique animal from a remote device. In some embodiments, the remote device may be equipment such as an electronically controlled gate, or a dispenser of animal food.

Dynamic boost of near field communications (NFC) performance/coverage in devices

Described herein are architectures, platforms and methods for dynamic amplification/boosting of near field communications (NFC) antenna transmission power in a device during NFC related functions that require increase in an NFC antenna transmission power such as a payment transaction. For example, to comply with Europay MasterCard and Visa (EMVco) standards with regard to higher NFC antenna transmission power during the EMVco transactions, the NFC antenna transmission power may be dynamically controlled to maximize efficiency of a battery/power supply of the device.

Association of item identifiers

A reader system and an imaging device are provided. The reader system is configured to read a tag attached to an item at a location relative to a barcode. The barcode is associated with the item. Once the reader system identifies the tag, the imaging device uses the placement of the tag and/or features of the tag to identify and read the barcode. The imaging device may also identify the tag. Once the barcode is identified, the barcode and the tag are associated.

NFC DEVICE POSTION FINDER

A method is provided that is implemented by a first NFC device configured in reader mode. The method includes evaluating an information about the coupling between the first NFC device and a second NFC device configured in card mode, as a function of the position of an antenna of the first NFC device with respect to an antenna of the second NFC device. The method further includes indicating the information by a user interface of the first device.
