ANTENNA DEVICE, CONTROL METHOD, AND PROGRAM
There is provided an antenna device, a control method, and a program that control enabling or disabling of a plurality of IC card antennas by using a mobile terminal. The antenna device includes: a mobile terminal antenna that receives a radio wave output by a reader/writer provided in a mobile terminal; a plurality of IC card antennas that communicates with an IC card including an IC chip for the IC card that reads/writes data in a contactless manner in response to a command transmitted by the reader/writer; and a control circuit that operates by using power generated when the mobile terminal antenna receives the radio wave output by the reader/writer and controls enabling or disabling of each of the IC card antennas in response to the command transmitted by the reader/writer. The present technology is applicable to a playmat used for a card game using a smartphone having an NFC function and an IC card.
Diaper with electronic wetness detection
A diaper wetness detection system includes a diaper, a wetness sensor, an RFID unit, and a transceiver unit. The RFID unit is a battery-less device that receives an interrogation signal transmitted by the transceiver unit. The RFID unit or the transceiver unit are configured to determine if a measurable characteristic, as sensed by the wetness sensor, indicates if the diaper is wet. The measurable characteristic can be a voltage or current indicative of a resistance, capacitance, or impedance at an area sensed by the wetness sensor. The value of the measurable characteristic is different when the diaper is wet versus dry. Comparing the measurable characteristic value to a threshold value or to one or more previously sensed measurable characteristic values enables a determination to be made as to whether or not the diaper is wet. The RFID unit can be detachably coupled to the diaper for simple attachment and removal.
Tamper detection for beacons using radio frequency tags
Embodiments herein describe a beacon that is used to verify a location of a user and provide access to a secure location (e.g., a locked building). The beacon includes a radio frequency reader which communicates with a tag (e.g., an NFC or RFID tag) disposed on a same surface as the beacon. For example, the beacon may cover the tag on the surface (e.g., a wall next to a locked door or access point into the secure location). The reader in the beacon can periodically perform a read cycle to identify the presence of the tag to ensure the beacon has not been removed. If during one or more cycles the reader does not detect the tag, the beacon can deactivate the beacon and no longer transmit the location verification code.
SECURITY DEVICE AND SYSTEM FOR SECURING PHYSICAL OBJECTS
A security device includes a memory device including instructions. At least one processor is configured for executing the instructions to: receive images of at least one physical object from at least one camera connected to the at least one processor, receive an indication from at least one security tether indicating movement of the at least one physical object, and provide an alert based on the indication of movement of the at least one physical object.
Tag reader
According to one or more embodiments, the tag reader includes a communication controller, a temperature measuring sensor, and a processor. The communication controller controls an output signal to be output from an antenna of the tag reader. The temperature measuring sensor measures an internal temperature of the tag reader. The processor sets the output value of an output signal based on the measured temperature and causes the communication control circuit to output the output signal from the antenna at the set output value.
Method of unlocking an operation of a device
A method of unlocking an operation of a Class III medical device suitable for use in treating, for example, COVID 19 in humans is presented. An integrated circuit is inserted or integrated into a medical device having an RFID reader, the medical device having a capability that is in a locked state. The integrated circuit has a first tiny RFID tag embedded therein. The RFID tag has an area of about 0.1 mm.sup.2 or less. The RFID tag is a largely digital tag that is implemented using portable digital IP blocks, the RFID tag utilizing dual-phase RF-only logic.
VOICE-BASED IN-STORE DIGITAL CHECKOUT SYSTEM
Methods and systems for providing a digital cart management system for use by customers within a retail location. In use, a customer shops within a retail location and adds items to a digital cart as the customer is adding the items to a physical cart, e.g., at least in part by voice input. When the customer is finished shopping, the customer can checkout via a digital process, thereby bypassing point of sale devices at the retail location.
FILTERING CROSS READS AMONG RADIO FREQUENCY IDENTIFICATION (RFID) ENABLED READERS AND SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR USE THEREOF
Radio frequency identification (RFID) enabled readers and systems and methods for filtering cross reads of RFID tags and use thereof. The systems and methods may be configured to operate with mobile and/or fixed RFID readers. The systems and methods may provide for claim based filtering of cross reads based upon adjusting operating powers of RFID readers and/or antenna. The systems and methods may also be configured to apply weights to claims thereby providing efficient and/or accurate filtering of cross reads. The systems and methods may also provide for a database that may also be presented to a user to illustrate locations of inventory at any point in time or over a period of time, or to facilitate the ability of a user to physically locate inventory to be acted upon.
Data Logging with Indication of Violation
A method includes obtaining, by a processing module of a data logging device, a log command. The method further includes determining, by the processing module, whether to enter a finished mode for the data logging device based on a data logging condition. When not in the finished mode and in response to the log command, the method further includes obtaining, by the processing module, a measure of an environmental condition. The method further includes determining, by the processing module, whether the measure of the environmental condition is within an expected range. When the measure of the environmental condition is not within the expected range, the method further includes generating, by the processing module, an environmental violation signal when triggered.
Systems and methods for unmanned positioning and delivery of rental vehicles
A managing apparatus for positioning rental vehicles includes a memory storing instructions and a processor configured to execute the instructions to cause the managing apparatus to access model information and location information for a plurality of autonomous vehicles, receive a request including a delivery location and a chosen model for renting, select an autonomous vehicle of the chosen model from among the plurality of autonomous vehicles based on the model information, the location information, and the delivery location, instruct the selected autonomous vehicle to fully-autonomously or semi-autonomously travel to the delivery location, and instruct the selected autonomous vehicle to switch to manual operation mode at the delivery location for manual operation by a vehicle rental customer.
