RFID tag and reader authentication by trusted authority

A Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) reader containing a reader key authenticates an RFID tag containing a tag key by receiving a tag identifier from the tag; challenging the tag with a tag challenge; receiving a tag response based at least on the tag challenge and the tag key but not including the tag key; sending a second message including at least the tag identifier and the tag response to a verification authority; and receiving a reply from the verification authority. The reader and the verification authority may mutually authenticate each other before, during, or after the tag authentication process. The verification authority may notify a designated party if a response is incorrect.

System and method for marking, tracking, and locating stains on a fabric item for application of a stain treatment prior to laundering
09767332 · 2017-09-19 ·

A system and method for marking, tracking, and locating stains on a fabric item for application of a stain treatment prior to laundering is disclosed. The system and method uses an RFID tag to mark the stain or stains on a fabric item and uses a transponder to locate the RFID tag and the stained fabric item. The user is then able to precisely locate both the stained fabric item and the precise location of the stain or stains on the fabric item for a chemical pretreatment prior to laundering. Once the stained fabric item is located, the RFID tag is removed and once all RFID tags are removed, the transponder is placed in a standby or power saving mode.

Power plant operation history device and method of managing operation history of power plant using wearable device

Provided is a power plant operation history device. The power plant operation history device includes: a communication unit configured to detect RFID of a wearable device and communicate with a signal conversion device; and a control unit configured to determine a power plant control authority of a user based on user identification information obtained through the communication unit, transmit an operation permission signal allowing operation of an input device of a power plant control facility control device to the signal conversion device when it is determined that the user's power plant control authority exists, and normally process a user input from the input device through the signal conversion device.

METHOD AND ARRANGEMENT FOR DATA TRANSMISSION

The invention relates to a method and an arrangement for transmitting an object data record, which is stored in a data memory area of a lower server, to an upper server, wherein the lower server and the upper server are arranged in a server complex comprising at least one upper server, and the servers are arranged on vertically staggered server levels, wherein the explicit association between the object data record and a particular object is made by means of addressing of the server data memory area by an access data record that is stored in an access data memory area of an RFID data storage medium connected to the object, the object data record being transmitted to the upper server by dint of access to the data memory area of the lower server.

LOCATION TRACKING SYSTEM

A location tracking system includes a tag configured to be uniquely associated with and affixed to an item, and automatically and periodically emit a first signal, a receiving transmitter having a Bluetooth signal reception functionality that is configured to automatically receive the first signal from the tag when the receiving transmitter is within a broadcast range of the tag without requiring pairing of the receiving transmitter and the tag and transmit a second signal, and a data system configured to be remotely accessible to the receiving transmitter and receive the second signal transmitted from the receiving transmitter. The second signal can be transmitted via a network to which the receiving transmitter is connected. An application can be installed in the receiving transmitter that allows the receiving transmitter to automatically receive the first signal and initiate transmission of the second signal from the receiving transmitter to the data system.

MEDICAL CABINET COMMUNICATION SYSTEM AND METHODS

Described is an RFID-enabled medical item storage, organization, and/or tracking device, such as a cabinet or shelf, that includes a limited-range wireless network communication capability, such as low-energy Bluetooth or Zigbee, to communicate with nearby cabinets, shelves or mobile devices, any of which may serve as a communication aggregator to coordinate the communication of multiple cabinets, shelves and other devices with an inventory management system or other back-end computer system or other device via back haul wireless or wired networks (e.g., the Internet).

The virtual queue control system is configured to receive communications from the plurality of virtual queuing stations and add guests to the respective virtual queues based on the communications.

Method and circuit of an actively transmitting tag

An actively transmitting tag detects a shift of a phase of an antenna signal (as) with regard to a phase of a transmitted signal (ts) in time intervals with a length of one half-period of a subcarrier, in which time intervals it transmits high-frequency wave packets with their phase being inverted according to a communication protocol at the ends of said half-periods. Generation of said wave packets is controlled by said phase shift in a way that said phase shift retains its absolute value at transitions into subsequent half-periods. Synchronizing the tag's transmission to a received interrogator signal carried out even during tag's transmitting enables the tag to transmit according to protocol ISO 14443 B by inverting a phase at transitions between said half-periods. Said synchronizing is carried out although no time window without a tag transmitting exists within the transmitted data frame.
