A medical user interface for the combined use of at least two medical examination systems. The medical user interface includes a display data interface to connect to a display and to send medical display data to be displayed on the display, an input data interface to connect to an input device for receiving instructions of a user, a communication interface to a data connection with the medical examination systems, and a computer. The computer is designed to establish a data communication to the medical examination systems via the communication interface, and a) to create the display data and send the display data to the display, b) to process the instructions from a user, and c) to send control data to the medical examination systems or to receive and process medical examination data received from the medical examination systems.

A robotic cart includes a bin, at least one mobile device holder and at least one robotic arm to manipulate items in or out of the bin. The mobile device holder secures a user mobile device which is communicatively coupled with the robotic cart. The robotic cart performs item manipulations based on data communicated from the coupled user device

In accordance with some embodiments, a physical game element such as a wagering chip or a playing card may be utilized to implement a promotion scheme on an electronic card table (e.g., using RFID or optical imaging technology). During a game it may be determined whether the element is associated with special functionality (e.g., entitles the player to a payout multiplier, special payout table, bonus prize or other benefit). The special functionality may have been previously associated with the element or associated with the element during the game (e.g., dynamically and/or randomly). In accordance with some embodiments a player is not able to readily discern the special functionality by a physical inspection of the physical game element and is only notified of the special functionality once the physical game element is used in a qualifying action (e.g., during a wager at an electronic card table).

A method can include sending, via a processing device, a signal to at least two of a plurality of location indicators from an autonomous vehicle in motion and transporting equipment or passengers. The method can further include receiving signals from the at least two location indicators. The method can further include determining a location of the autonomous vehicle within an indoor facility based on the received signals. The method can further include comparing the determined location to a corresponding pre-determined location. The method can further include, in response to the determined location being different than the pre-determined location, adjusting a direction of the autonomous vehicle along a predetermined path within the indoor facility.

An RFID tag includes an RFID device, an output device and a controller. The RFID device includes a storage from and into which information is readable and writable from a reading/writing apparatus through wireless communication. The output device outputs information. The controller reads information for output from the storage and controls the output device. The storage includes a first region into which the information for output is written and a second region separate from the first region. The controller updates data of the second region in response to updating output of the output device.

An aerosol-generating device is provided, including: a near-field communication device configured to communicate with an external device, the near-field communication device being configured to store a message including a list of records, the list including a first record associated with a first operation to be executed by the external device and a second record associated with a second operation to be executed by the external device, the first operation being different from the second operation; and a controller configured to monitor a state of the aerosol-generating device, and in response to detecting a predetermined state of the aerosol-generating device, configure the list of records to define an order of the first record and the second record in the list.

Features are applied to a mathematical model to produce a cutting pattern for opening a container. The cutting pattern specifies which of one or more cutting tools is to be used and the location of where cuts are to be made on the container. The cutting pattern is sent to a container opening machine. The container opening machine is operated and the container cut and opened by the container opening machine according to the cutting pattern.

A computer implemented method, a control unit and a computer program for determining a configuration of a battery pack having one or more battery modules configured to be operationally connected as a string of battery modules, wherein a battery module includes a radio frequency identification, RFID, reader configured to read a radio frequency identification, RFID, tag of an adjacent battery module, by receiving first data from a first battery module (BM1), wherein the first data includes a module identifier of the first battery module (BM1) associated with second data of a second battery module (BM2) adjacent to the first battery module (BM1), the second data including at least a module identifier of the second battery module (BM2); and determining the configuration of the battery pack based on the first and second data.

An interactive data system in which a user, scanning a tag such as a QR-code, is directed to a destination (which may be one of a number of different destinations) which is determined by a profile of the user, which profile is established beforehand. Optionally access to a destination is also determined by an access permission which may be granted to the user. In one example a user, scanning a menu of food and beverage offerings, is directed to a choice of food and beverage which is dependent on the user's likes and dislikes, and dietary and similar factors.

Activity monitoring systems and methods are disclosed. Systems include a continuous glucose monitoring device for a user including a glucose sensor for monitoring blood glucose levels of the user during an activity. An activity monitoring device is associated with the user and includes an activity sensor for tracking movement of the user during the activity. A display device is associable with the user during the activity. At least one processor is configured to execute program instructions configurable to cause the at least one processor to: receive activity data from the activity monitoring device; cause to be displayed at least some of the activity data on the display device; receive blood glucose data from the continuous glucose monitoring device; determine a product consumption recommendation based on the blood glucose data and the activity data, wherein the product consumption recommendation includes a recommendation of when the user should consume carbohydrates in order to maintain blood glucose levels within a specified target range during the activity; cause to be displayed the product consumption recommendation on the display device; and record an activity log including the activity data and the blood glucose data with respect to time.
