ACCURATE IMAGES IN GRAPHICAL USER INTERFACES TO ENABLE DATA TRANSFER
Systems, methods, and computer-readable media for providing accurate images of cards. An application executing on a mobile device may receive authentication credentials for an account, determine a card associated with the account, and determine a card manufacturer identifier (CMID) of the card. The application may receive, from a digital asset management system based on the CMID, a plurality of metadata attributes of the card and one or more images of the card. The application may determine, based on the metadata attributes and attributes of the mobile device, a first orientation of the card to enable near-field communication (NFC) data transfer between the card and the mobile device. The application may select a first image of the card. The application may generate a graphical user interface (GUI) including the first image and an indication specifying to tap the card to the mobile device according to the first orientation.
SMART RETURN RECEPTACLE
A return receptacle system which uses a detection system to guide the user to deposit items into the correct receptacle. The system detects the item to be deposited and provides guidance or instruction to properly deposit the item. In addition, or alternatively, the system allows access to only the appropriate receptacle opening. Additional detection systems and/or sensors may be provided to monitor or ensure only the appropriate items are deposited.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR OPERATING A DISPLAY BOARD
Systems and methods for operating a digital display board are provided. The display board may be placed in a retailer, such as a home improvement store, a tile store, or a hardware store, at or near a location where tile is displayed for purchase. The display board may be thought of as a virtual tile board and may be programmed to display information about the tile that is available at the associated retailer. The tile that is featured on the display board may be based on real-time inventory information provided by the tile manufacturer or retailer, as well as based on any promotions being offered by the manufacturer or retailer. In addition, the retailer may provide retailer-specific branding or other information that may be displayed along with the tile information.
Internet of things implanted device
A method, computer program product, and system includes a processor(s) obtaining a signal from an implanted device within a given vicinity of the one or more processors. The processor(s) identifies a device that when active, has a pre-defined probability of impacting regular functionality of the implanted device. The processor(s) determines coordinates of a perimeter around the device, where the pre-defined probability of the device impacting the regular functionality of the implanted device is realized inside the perimeter. The processor(s) generate a geofence boundary around the device. The processor(s) initiate an action to decrease the pre-defined probability of the device impacting the regular functionality of the implanted device.
Systems and methods for programming a credential reader
A credential reader update system includes a server operable to provide a credential reader update via a cellular telephone interface, and a plurality of credential readers. Each credential reader communicates with a presented credential at a credential reader frequency, wherein each credential reader has a credential reader interface having a range. A portable update device is movable into and out of the range, and is operable to receive the credential reader update via the cellular telephone interface. A credential reader update application is included in the portable update device, and is operable to uniquely identify the particular credential reader to be updated. The portable update device transfers the credential reader update to the credential reader via the credential reader interface, and the credential reader update includes firmware instructions that cause the credential reader to perform communications with the presented credential at a second frequency different than the credential reader frequency.
Self-service modular drop safes
Novel modular smart management devices in the form of drop safes include the modular components of a chassis, door and technology cabinet. The drop safes enable retailers to make cash deposits quickly and safely within or near their own facilities. Various technology, including RFID readers, RFID tags, and other equipment allow the drop safes to identify each deposited bag. Employees utilize specialized apps on their mobile devices to facilitate deposit creation and other tasks. Novel methodologies for accessing the drop safes for emptying employ single-use, time-expiration type authorization codes along with other security measures to minimize risk and to provide other benefits. Novel structures along with methodologies for replacing, on-site, modular components with auto-detection of functionality during initialization and re-initialization enables for efficient replacement and upgrading of components, including the upgrading of safes to provide additional functionality.
Call center web-based authentication using a contactless card
Systems, methods, articles of manufacture, and computer-readable media. A server may receive a phone call and generate a uniform resource locator (URL) comprising a session identifier for an account. The server may transmit the URL to a client device. The server may receive, from a web browser, a request comprising the URL. The server may determine that the session identifier in the URL of the request matches the session identifier for the account, and transmit, to the web browser, a web page at the URL. The server may receive, from the web browser, a cryptogram read by the web page via a card reader of the client device and decrypt the cryptogram. The server may authenticate the identity of the caller for the call based on decrypting the cryptogram and the session identifier of the URL matching the session identifier of the account.
Detection of firearms in a security zone using radio frequency identification tag embedded within weapon bolt carrier
A system and method for detecting the presence of firearms adapted with embedded RFID tags is disclosed. A plurality of RFID interrogators sequentially and intermittently transmit short burst interrogating signals thereby causing RFID tags within range to transmit a responsive signal which may be used to activate alarms and other security measures. RFID tags are configured using an ASIC chip enabled for 10 Ghz wireless communication. The ASIC chip is embedded within a bolt carrier that includes a slotted antenna aperture resulting in extended range wireless communication. A plurality of RFID interrogators are installed in an detection area and transmit a radio frequency signals which excite any RFID enabled devices within range causing the devices to generate and transmit a response signal which may be used to trigger a variety of security measures such as sounding an alarm, locking doors, contacting law enforcement, etc.
SMART INVENTORY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM FOR A DISPENSING AND BLEND-IN- CUP BEVERAGE PLATFORM
A smart inventory management system is described for a dispensing and blend-in-cup beverage platform including a container having an information tag that is configured to store unique information specific to a particular product, a reader configured to read the stored information from the information tag, a control board configured to host a software based decision engine which is configured to interpret the information specific to a particular product and to control one or more system components based at least in part on the information, a pump controlled by the control board and configured to pump beverage concentrates out of the containers in order to dispense the beverage concentrate into a beverage holder, and a check valve located between an opening on the container and the pump, the check valve configured to provide backflush prevention of foreign solutions into the container.
System Providing Self-Service Access to Locked Merchandise
A system providing self-service access to locked merchandise comprising: (a) providing a fixture that restricts access to the locked merchandise, wherein the fixture can automatically lock or unlock, allowing or restricting access to the locked merchandise; (b) providing a means of uniquely identifying an individual attempting to access the merchandise; (c) measuring a set of behaviors of the individual during any time the fixture is an open mode; (d) assessing whether the set of behaviors of the individual are suspicious or not relative to a set of suspicious event thresholds; (e) storing the individual and their set of behaviors as accessible records in at least one database; and (f) providing an algorithm which determines future access privileges of the individual to the enclosure based on a set of variables.
