An example medical cabinet system disclosed herein includes a computing system that selectively enables access to a medication pack or other object based on a dispensing schedule, stores event data relating to operation of the cabinet system, and transmits that event data to a remote computing system over a communications network.

A method includes determining, by a processing module of a data logging device, whether an event has occurred that potentially compromises reliability of the data logging device. The method further includes, when the event has occurred, determining, by the processing module, whether the reliability of the data logging device has been compromised. The method further includes, when the reliability of the data logging device has been compromised, generating, by the processing module, a compromised indication signal. The method further includes, when the reliability of the data logging device has not been compromised, generating, by the processing module, a data integrity indication signal.

A system may receive, via an NFC tag disposed proximate a vehicle fuel tank, a fuel transaction request from a third-party POS NFC reader positioned proximate a fuel pump. The system may detect a user device being paired with a vehicle communication device of the vehicle to enable a short-range wireless communication. The system may determine that the user device is associated with an authorized user of the vehicle. The system may unlock the NFC tag to enable the NFC tag to communicate with the third-party POS NFC reader for a predefined time limit responsive to determining that the user device is associated with the authorized user. Responsive to unlocking the NFC tag, the system may retrieve account payment information associated with the authorized user, and may transmit, via the NFC tag, the account payment information to the third-party POS NFC reader to complete the fuel transaction.

The present invention discloses a system for monitoring and managing tires mounted to a vehicle. The system includes a plurality of tire service stations each includes at least an intelligent tire service station for providing services to the tires. The intelligent tire service station further has a tire diagnostic detector for detecting and storing data of designated tire health management parameters. The intelligent tire service station further has a transmitter for transmitting the data of designated tire health management parameters as wireless signals to a networked server in a tire management center.

The release of the bioactive agent from the coating and or the surface of the fertilizer granule preferably results in a two-phased release, a first fast release and a second extended or slow-release into the soil metering the bioavailability of the bioactive agent for crop growth or protection, and/or for controlling unwanted vegetation or pests.

An authentication method for a tag device includes exchanging authentication codes between the tag device and an authentication server to perform mutual authentication. A reader device acts as a communications bridge between the tag device and the authentication server. The reader device may observe mutual authentication between the tag device and the authentication server as an indicator that the tag device is authentic. A failure of mutual authentication indicates that the tag device is not authentic.
