An intelligent tracking system generally includes one or more tracking devices, some of which may be passive tracking devices. Each passive tracking device includes one or more transceivers and is energized by an energizing signal. Some of these passive tracking devices may operate in a first communication mode or a second communication mode based on the energizing signal. Some tracking devices may include encryption modules or authentication modules. Some of these devices may incorporate a bulk acoustic wave oscillator.

A computerized, interactive eyewear display board system, comprising a plurality of display shelves mounted to a display board's support structure, each of the display shelves comprising at least one light that is adapted to selectively illuminate the respective shelf, the at least one light being controlled a computer processor; and an item tracking mechanism that is adapted to determine which particular eyewear is on each particular respective one of the display shelves. In various embodiments, the display board system is adapted to receive eyewear preference criteria from a user, identify particular eyewear that is placed on a particular one of the display shelves that satisfies the eyewear preference criteria, and in response to determining that the particular eyewear satisfies the eyewear preference criteria, illuminate the particular shelf.

An inventory management system including: an electronic tag that stores tag information for specifying a product and is attached to the product; a measurement apparatus that is installed within a measurement range of the electronic tag and measures the tag information; and a server apparatus, in which the server apparatus includes: a registration means that stores a consumption unit set by a quantity of one or more of the products, and an appropriate inventory quantity set on the basis of the consumption unit in a storage unit as inventory management information regarding the product, an acquisition means that acquires a remaining number of the products specified by the tag information measured by the measurement apparatus, and an order placement means that refers to the inventory management information and outputs order placement data of the product when it is determined that the remaining number of the product is less than the appropriate inventory quantity.

Systems, methods, and computer-readable media for providing accurate images of cards. An application executing on a mobile device may receive authentication credentials for an account, determine a card associated with the account, and determine a card manufacturer identifier (CMID) of the card. The application may receive, from a digital asset management system based on the CMID, a plurality of metadata attributes of the card and one or more images of the card. The application may determine, based on the metadata attributes and attributes of the mobile device, a first orientation of the card to enable near-field communication (NFC) data transfer between the card and the mobile device. The application may select a first image of the card. The application may generate a graphical user interface (GUI) including the first image and an indication specifying to tap the card to the mobile device according to the first orientation.

A control system is configured to facilitate transfer of a package between a room in a building and a delivery service outside the room associated with a shipment order. The system controls a shiftable panel of the building to selectively provide a path into and out of the room. The system includes a location sensor and a system processor. The location sensor is configured to sense package location data associated with the location of the package relative to the panel. The system processor is configured to receive package identification data associated with the package, permit panel opening to allow room ingress and egress along the path based on the package identification data, determine that the package has been transferred into or out of the room via the path based on package location data from the location sensor, and secure the panel closed to restrict room ingress and egress along the path based on package location data from the location sensor sensing that the package has been transferred into or out of the room via the path.

According to one embodiment, there is provided an image forming device that prevents write information from being incorrectly written to a non-target RFID tag. The image forming device according to the embodiment includes: a placement unit, a wireless tag communication unit, and a conductor. A sheet provided with a wireless tag can be placed in the placement unit. The wireless tag communication unit can write information to the wireless tag provided on the sheet. The conductor is provided in the placement unit and hinders communication between the wireless tag communication unit and the wireless tag.

Systems for determining a price of goods, reducing food waste, optimizing markdowns for the goods, and controlling prices of the goods in a retail setting are described. A scanner scans a readable identification tag affixed to a good during a time period. A pricing engine of at least one server queries, dynamically and in real-time, a database to identify, from the readable identification tag, the good and the information associated with the good. The pricing engine then applies algorithms to the identified good to calculate a price of the good and modify the calculated price of the good during the time period to optimize a target function. The optimization of the target function depends on price-calculation factors associated with a shelf-state of the good and associated with a future stock of the good. At least one calculated price based on the expiration date of the good is displayed.

Methods and apparatus for determining a parcel position error based on a comparison of load data and configuration data are provided. Embodiments describe a number of methods of determining the parcel position error such as by determining a parcel path from the load data.
