Method and apparatus of data logging
A method includes establishing, by a data logging device, a sleep mode. The method further includes receiving, by a processing module of the data logging device, a second activation command that causes the data logging device to transition to a standby mode. The method further includes receiving, by the processing module, a third activation command that causes the data logging device to transition to a ready mode. The method further includes receiving, by the processing module, a fourth activation command that causes the data logging device to transition to a logging mode. In the logging mode, the method further includes obtaining, by the processing module, a log command. In response to the log command, the method further includes obtaining, by the processing module, a measure of an environmental condition. The method further includes storing the measure of the environmental condition in memory of the data logging device.
System, method, and smart device for authentication of products and interaction with a virtual environment
A system and method for identifying and authenticating a physical article to a virtual environment. A physical article, such as a decorative pin used in gameplay or some purchased article with anti-counterfeiting tag information, may be scanned by a mobile device and verified by a mobile device application. Such a process may uniquely identify a product as being associated with one particular customer, which may limit counterfeiting and may also allow the article to be incorporated in some form into a game or other virtual environment, such as in the form of an accessory for a game character.
Retrieving personalized visual content items in real time for display on digital-content-display devices within a physical space
This disclosure describes embodiments of methods, systems, and non-transitory-computer readable media that personalize visual content for display on digital signage near a projected location of a person by mapping visual content to physical items selected by the person. In some examples, the disclosed system identifies physical items selected by a person based on signals from the physical items, such as signals emitted by RFID tags affixed to (or other devices associated with) the physical items. The disclosed system analyzes the collection of physical items—as identified by the signals—to tailor digital signage content specific to the person. The disclosed system further tracks the location of the person as the person moves through a physical space and interacts with the physical items. Based on the tracked positions, the disclosed system determines a digital sign in proximity to a predicted location of the person to display the personalized visual content.
Vehicle toll transponder for enabling multiple transaction cards and securely providing transaction card details
A toll transponder may receive transaction card data identifying a transaction card associated with a transaction account. The toll transponder may provide to a toll server device, and via a toll antenna of a toll collection system, a request for a transaction amount for a vehicle toll, and may receive a response requesting authorization for payment of the transaction amount. The toll transponder may determine, based on the response, an authorization request cryptogram for payment of the transaction amount, and generate an encrypted signal identifying the authorization request cryptogram, the transaction card data, and a toll transponder identifier identifying the toll transponder. The toll transponder may provide the encrypted signal to the toll server device via the toll antenna, and may receive from the toll server device, via the toll antenna, data indicating whether the transaction amount for the vehicle toll is approved.
CASINO SYSTEM
A casino system in a casino using a gaming chip to which an RFID tag storing identification information is attached, comprising a registration device for registering the identification information of the gaming chip to be used in the casino, and a database for storing a list of the identification information registered by the registration device. The list includes status information that indicates whether or not the gaming chip is usable, and the registration device makes the status information usable for the gaming chip that has already been registered.
Emulated Card Switching Method, Electronic Device, and Communication System
An emulated card switching method, electronic device, and communication system are provided. The method includes sending first information to an near field communication (NFC) card reader which determines a first protocol based on the first information and a protocol supported by the NFC card reader, and performs a service process of the first protocol with the electronic device, if no identification information is obtained, modifying protocol information of a first emulated card from the first information to second information, sending the second information to the NFC card reader which obtains the second information from the electronic device, determines a second protocol based on the second information and the protocol supported by the NFC card reader, and performs a service process of the second protocol with the electronic device, and if identification information is obtained, switching the first emulated card to a second emulated card corresponding to the identification information.
HAIRCARE APPLIANCE
A haircare appliance is described that includes a blower for generating an airflow, a plurality of outlets through which the airflow is discharged in one of a clockwise direction and a counterclockwise direction, and an indicator. The indicator has a first visual state when the airflow is discharged in a clockwise direction and a second visual state when the airflow is discharged in a counterclockwise direction.
Electromagnetic state sensing devices
A container includes a surface and a first resonance portion. The surface defines a volume of the container, and the first resonance portion includes an assembly of three-dimensional (3D) carbon-containing structures printed on the surface of the container using one or more first carbon-based inks. The first resonance portion is configured to indicate a presence of an item within the container by resonating at one or more predetermined frequencies in response to an electromagnetic radiation ping associated with a user device located a distance from the container. In some implementations, the container may include a second resonance portion including an assembly of 3D carbon-containing structures printed on the surface of the container using one or more second carbon-based inks, the one or more second carbon-based inks being different than the one or more first carbon-based inks.
METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR DIGITAL RECORD VERIFICATION
A system and a method are disclosed that enable a mobile device to use an encoded tag to initiate and maintain communications with at least one remote server. The encoded tag is positioned to identify a point of interest, and in response to using the mobile device to scan the encoded tag, communications regarding the point of interest may be initiated. A single encoded tag may be used to obtain and update recorded information about the point of interest, to notify others about an issue related to the point of interest, to log into the system, and to wait to be alerted about an issue related to the point of interest. If an issue relating to a point of interest has been reported, the system and method may monitor the reported issue to ensure that an action has been taken to address the reported issue.
