Computer applications that determine a parcel position error
Methods and apparatus for determining a parcel position error based on a comparison of load data and configuration data are provided. Embodiments describe a number of methods of determining the parcel position error such as by determining a parcel path from the load data.
CASINO SYSTEM
A casino system in a casino using a gaming chip to which an RFID tag storing identification information is attached, comprising a registration device for registering the identification information of the gaming chip to be used in the casino, and a database for storing a list of the identification information registered by the registration device. The list includes status information that indicates whether or not the gaming chip is usable, and the registration device makes the status information usable for the gaming chip that has already been registered.
Location-based configuration of a load control device
A method of automatically programming a new load control device that replaces an old load control device takes advantage of a remote identification tag (e.g., an RFID tag) located in the vicinity of the old device. The remote identification tag stores an identifier that is representative of a location in which the old device is installed. The method includes the steps of: (1) storing a setting of an old device in a memory of a controller; (2) associating the setting with the identifier of the old device in the memory of the controller; (3) the new device retrieving the identifier from the remote identification tag after the new device is installed in the location of the old device; (4) the new device transmitting the identifier to the controller; and (5) the controller transmitting the setting of the old device to the new device in response to receiving the identifier.
SYSTEMS, DEVICES AND METHODS FOR DETERMINING ITEM AVAILABILITY IN A SHOPPING SPACE
Systems, apparatuses, and methods for determining item availability are provided. A computer implemented method for determining item availability in a shopping space comprising: receiving a request for an item for purchase from a customer, querying an inventory database to determine whether the item for purchase is in stock, in an event that the item for purchase is not in stock according to the inventory database: determining an out of stock response to present to the customer, in an event that the item for purchase is in stock according the inventory database: instructing a motorized transport unit to travel to a display space in the shopping space corresponding to the item for the purchase, determining whether the item is available in the display space based on information captured by one or more sensors of the motorized transport unit, and in an event that the item for purchase is not available in the display space: determining an item unavailable response to present to the customer.
Multi-protocol RFID system
A multi-protocol RFID interrogating system employs a synchronization technique (step-lock) for a backscatter RFID system that allows simultaneous operation of closely spaced interrogators. The multi-protocol RFID interrogating system can communicate with backscatter transponders having different output protocols and with active transponders including: Title 21 compliant RFID backscatter transponders; IT2000 RFID backscatter transponders that provide an extended mode capability beyond Title 21; EGOTM RFID backscatter transponders, SEGOTM RFID backscatter transponders; ATA, ISO, ANSI AAR compliant RFID backscatter transponders; and IAG compliant active technology transponders. The system implements a step-lock operation, whereby adjacent interrogators are synchronized to ensure that all downlinks operate within the same time frame and all uplinks operate within the same time frame, to eliminate downlink on uplink interference.
Tag, related method and system for identifying and/or authenticating objects
A tag adapted to be applied to an object is disclosed. The tag includes a wireless communication interface, a processor and a memory. A univocal code, a cipher key and a count value are store in the memory. The tag generates a dynamic code as a function of the cipher key and the count value. Next, the tag varies the count value according to a determined operation, and stores the varied count value in the memory. The tag transmits the univocal code and the dynamic code to a reader device. The tag may transmit the univocal code and the dynamic code in a URL.
FLEXIBLE COMPARTMENT DESIGN ON AUTONOMOUS AND SEMI-AUTONOMOUS VEHICLE
Provided herein is an autonomous or semi-autonomous vehicle fleet comprising a plurality of autonomous or semi-autonomous vehicles coordinated by a fleet management module. Each vehicle may be configured to receive a modular unit, wherein the modular unit is configured to secure a consumer product.
AUTOMATED RETAIL STORE ON AUTONOMOUS OR SEMI-AUTONOMOUS VEHICLE
An autonomous or semi-autonomous vehicle fleet comprising a plurality of autonomous or semi-autonomous vehicles for providing an assortment of items to a customer or a potential customer after such customer or potential customer summons the one or more autonomous or semi-autonomous vehicles in an unstructured open or closed environment. Each autonomous or semi-autonomous vehicle comprises one or more compartments configured to contain and secure the assortment of the items to be selected once the summoned autonomous or semi-autonomous vehicle arrives to a customer or potential customer.
CUSTOMIZABLE FOOD ITEM DISPLAY
The invention relates to a method of configuring a household appliance (10) to display information about one or more food items (12a-12e) to be stored in the household appliance (10), and a household appliance (10) performing the method. In an aspect of the invention, a household appliance (10) configured to display information about one or more food items (i2a-i2e) to be stored in the household appliance (10) is provided. The appliance comprises an electronic display (11) configured to store information about said one or more food items (12a-12e) to be stored in the appliance (10), the information being received wirelessly by the electronic display (11), and further being configured to display at least a part of the received information.
DELIVERY SYSTEM HAVING ROBOT VEHICLES WITH TEMPERATURE AND HUMIDITY CONTROL COMPARTMENTS
An autonomous robot vehicle in accordance with aspects of the present disclosure includes a conveyance system and a compartment coupled to the conveyance system. The conveyance system autonomously drives the autonomous robotic vehicle between one or more storage locations and one or more delivery locations. The compartment receives one or more items stored at the one more storage locations. The compartment includes a temperature control module configured to maintain the compartment within a predetermined temperature range to provide temperature control for the one or more items as the conveyance system drives between the one or more storage locations and the one or more delivery locations.
