This increases the power required to read the single tag but matches the resonant frequency for reading a stack of RFID tags. The gaming table may further include a network analyzer and a set of capacitors that are dynamically switched among the antennas according to measuring the reflection coefficient of the antennas.

The accommodation region can accommodate therein a product with a wireless tag attached thereto. The product can be inserted and withdrawn from the accommodation region via an opening at the front and top of the accommodation region. A tag reading unit includes an antenna configured to emit radio waves toward the product in the accommodation region and then receive a response signal. The outside portions of the first side surface, the second side surface, and the back surface reflect radio waves. An inside portion of the back surface is a radio wave transmitting material. There is a gap left between the inside portion and the outside portion of the back surface portion.

In an embodiment, a network transceiver includes: a host interface for connecting to a host; a network interface for transmitting and receiving signals to and from a network; an RFID antenna for receiving RFID data; and a controller in operative communication with the network interface and the RFID antenna, said controller operating the network interface according to an operating configuration, wherein the operating configuration of the controller is programmed using the RFID data received via the RFID antenna. Various other embodiments are also provided.

A method for controlling an operation of an ultrasonic blade of an ultrasonic electromechanical system is disclosed. The method includes providing an ultrasonic electromechanical system comprising an ultrasonic transducer coupled to an ultrasonic blade via an ultrasonic waveguide; applying, by an energy source, a power level to the ultrasonic transducer; determining, by a control circuit coupled to a memory, a mechanical property of the ultrasonic electromechanical system; comparing, by the control circuit, the mechanical property with a reference mechanical property stored in the memory; and adjusting, by the control circuit, the power level applied to the ultrasonic transducer based on the comparison of the mechanical property with the reference mechanical property.

A communication apparatus includes an antenna, an actuator assembly, a transducer, and a controller. The actuator assembly is configured to move the antenna in two dimensions relative to a space configured to contain a wireless tag. The transducer is configured to provide phase data indicating a phase of a signal transmitted from the wireless tag in at least (a) a first detection condition in which the antenna has a first position relative to the space and (b) a second detection condition in which the antenna has a second position relative to the space. The controller is configured to determine whether the wireless tag is located inside of the space based on the phase data.
