Method for scanning multiple items in a single swipe
Systems and methods for scanning multiple items in a single swipe are disclosed herein. An example method includes capturing, by an optical imaging assembly, a plurality of images of a field of view (FOV) of the optical imaging assembly. A processor identifies a plurality of indicia from one or more images of the plurality of images. The indicia are indicative of the location of one or more objects of interest within the FOV. The processor decodes each indicia to determine information associated with the one or more objects of interest. The processor further identifies, a frame of interest in one or more images and initiates a dynamic frame that includes each frame of interest. The processor identifies, from the dynamic frame, a background region in the one or more images of the plurality of images, and the processor further removes the background region from the one or more images.
Product label, system and method for providing instant information of fresh food
The present invention provides a product label with a colorimetric sensor array and a code, and the system and the method of the present invention are mainly that the product label is attached to a fresh food, so that at least one sensing material of the colorimetric sensor array undergoes a chemical reaction with at least one metabolic molecule of the fresh food to change from an initial color to an indicating color. The present invention, by obtaining an image comprising an appearance, the code and the indicating color of the fresh food through an image acquisition device, also provides an instant information associated with the fresh food by a processing device according to a comparison result of the image and a database.
Synchronizing Rolling Shutter and Global Shutter Sensors
An imaging system for synchronizing rolling shutter and global shutter sensors is disclosed herein. An example imaging system includes an illumination source configured to emit illumination lasting a predetermined period, a first imaging sensor, and a second imaging sensor. The first imaging sensor is configured to capture first image data representative of an environment appearing within a field of view (FOV) of the first imaging sensor during a first period that overlaps at least partially with the predetermined period, and the first imaging sensor operates as a global shutter imaging sensor. The second imaging sensor is configured to capture second image data representative of an environment appearing within a FOV of the second imaging sensor during a second period that overlaps at least partially with the predetermined period and is different from the first period, and the second imaging sensor operates as a rolling shutter imaging sensor.
Industrial Digital Barcode Reader
A convertible slot scanner assembly for capturing at least one object appearing in a field of view (FOV) is provided that includes an imaging assembly, a controller, an image decoder, a chassis, a first window, and a housing. The chassis is configured to accommodate the imaging assembly and includes an optical cavity, an opening, and a flange portion at least partially surrounding the opening. The first window is configured to at least partially cover the opening of the chassis. The housing includes a housing cavity that is dimensioned to at least partially accommodate the chassis. The housing is positionable in a first, horizontal configuration and a second, vertical configuration. In the horizontal configuration, the first window is in a generally horizontal orientation. In the vertical configuration, the first window is in a generally upright orientation.
Laser light beam scanning device for reading coded information
The present invention is relative to a scanning device (100) of a laser light beam (7,8) for reading coded information, comprising: an emission source of a laser light beam (7,8), the laser light beam defining an optical path (10a,10b); an optical element (17) for scanning the laser light beam on a support containing coded information; characterized in that it further comprises a linear polarizer (16) located along the optical path (10a,10b) of said laser light beam (7,8), upstream the optical element for scanning (17), said polarizer being apt to linearly polarize a first portion of said laser light beam in substantially one first plane (s) and direct said polarized portion only towards said optical element for scanning.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS OF DETECTING SCAN AVOIDANCE EVENTS
Methods of detecting scan avoidance events during decode sessions are disclosed herein. An example method includes during a timeout period at one or more processors of the symbology scanner, identifying and decoding a transaction affecting indicia on an object in one or more images to obtain a transaction affecting payload; during the timeout period at the one or more processors, identifying one or more visual features in the one or more images; and in response to identifying a non-transaction affecting indicia associated with the one or more visual features, and failing to identify or decode the transaction affecting indicia, determining a potential scan avoidance attempt and generating a scan avoidance alarm signal.
Method and device for determining object orientation
A barcode scanning device for determining an object orientation of an object includes: a barcode reader; a decoding processor interconnected with the barcode reader, the decoding processor configured to: control the barcode reader to read the barcode and generate barcode data representing the barcode; and an orientation processor interconnected with the decoding processor, the orientation processor configured to: receive the barcode data and determine a barcode orientation based on the barcode data; determine the object orientation based on the barcode orientation; and output an indication of the object orientation.
