Information processing device, information processing method, and program
An information processing device (10) includes a commodity detection unit that detects a commodity information symbol, a service detection unit (120) that detects a service information symbol, and an association unit (130) that associates commodity information obtained using a commodity information symbol corresponding to a shorter time period, out of a time period from detection of a commodity information symbol to detection of a service information symbol and a time period from the detection of the service information symbol to detection of a commodity information symbol, with service information obtained using the service information symbol.
SELF-SERVICE CHECKOUT APPARATUS AND METHOD THEREOF
A self-service checkout apparatus includes dispensers each configured to dispense an article, first sensors each configured to detect a presence of the article in the corresponding dispenser, first indicators each configured to indicate that the presence of the article in the corresponding dispenser, a second sensor configured to detect whether a user is present, and a processor configured to, when one or more articles are detected by the first sensors and the user is detected by the second sensor, perform first notification using the respective one or more of the first indicators, and when one or more articles are detected by the first sensors and the user is not detected by the second sensor, perform second notification according to a priority order predetermined for each article, using at least one of a second indicator of the self-service checkout apparatus and a third indicator of another apparatus.
System and method for monitoring display unit compliance
Examples of the disclosure provide a compliance monitoring system suitable for display units in a retail store. A wearable device is configured to be worn by a user while in use. The wearable device may be coupled to a server. The wearable device is configured to capture an image of a product label on a display unit. The wearable device may process the captured image to extract product identity information from a machine-readable portion of the product label. The wearable device may retrieve stored label information from the server based on the extracted product identity information. The wearable device may display the retrieved stored label information in a field of view of the user while the user views a human readable portion of the product label, thereby allowing a compliance comparison therebetween.
Reader for optical indicia presented under two or more imaging conditions within a single frame time
The present invention embraces an optical indicia reader, e.g., barcode scanner, that captures images of optical indicia under multiple imaging conditions within the span of a single frame. The reader includes an image sensor having selectively-addressable pixels that can be divided into groups having regions of interest (ROIs) within the reader field of view. Each pixel group is shuttered separately to obtain independent partial frame images under separate imaging conditions.
Industrial Digital Barcode Reader
A convertible slot scanner assembly for capturing at least one object appearing in a field of view (FOV) is provided that includes a chassis having an optical cavity and a front opening, a scanning window configured to at least partially cover the front opening of the chassis, and an illumination element disposed inside of the optical cavity of the chassis at a position recessed from the scanning window, the illumination element disposed proximal the front opening, the illumination element configured to provide illumination along an illumination axis that is non-parallel with the optical axis, and where the illumination element provides illumination with an illumination angle that is oblique relative to the normal axis of the scanning window.
METHOD FOR SETTING TIRE PRESSURE MEASUREMENT DEVICE
A method for setting tire pressure measurement device applicable for a detection device electrically couple to an image code scanner is provided. The method comprises the steps of: providing a look-up table (LUT) recording a plurality of image codes, each of the plurality of image codes corresponding to at least one piece of manufacture information, and the at least one piece of manufacture information corresponding to a vehicle; capturing one of the plurality of image codes by the image code scanner so as to generate a scanning result; and based on the scanning result, the detection device selecting one of a plurality of communication protocols.
BARCODE READING DEVICE
A barcode reading device (1, 1a, 1b, 1c, 1d) includes a polygon housing (10, 10a, 10b) and a plurality of barcode reading units (32, 34, 34_1, 34_2); a first window (12) is formed on one surface of the polygon housing (10, 10a, 10b) and a second window (14) is formed of another surface thereof; the barcode reading units (32, 34, 34_1, 34_2) are housed within an accommodating space of the polygon housing (10, 10a, 10b). One of the barcode reading units (32, 34, 34_1, 34_2) reads barcode through the second window (14), and the other barcode reading units (32, 34, 34_1, 34_2) read barcode through the first window (12).
Distinctive notice for different symbology information
An indicia reader is adapted for hand held operation to read information bearing indicia (IBI) at a point of transaction (POT) and is operated by: configuring the indicia reader in a store to provide at least one store specific indicia read notice; reading an IBI at a POT with the indicia reader and providing the at least one store specific indicia read notice to a customer when each IBI is read.
DETERMINING OBJECT ATTRIBUTES USING PHOTOELECTRIC SENSORS
Systems and methods are provided for determining attributes (such as size and location) of target objects (e.g., tires) utilizing photoelectric sensors. At least two photoelectric sensors are positioned at respective angles relative to a direction of transport of a conveyance mechanism such that the light rays emitted therefrom cross the width of the conveyance mechanism and cross one another at an intersection point. Based, at least in part, upon respective interruption times of the light rays by the target object, and a location of the interruption of the light rays relative to the intersection point, one or more attributes of the target object are determined. Systems and methods further are provided for determining a height profile of a target object utilizing at least one photoelectric sensor.
System and method for managing sample collection data and documentation
What is provided is a system and methods for more quickly, accurately, and efficiently collecting, tracking, and transmitting sample collection data and information. Specifically, this involves the generation of printed labels in the field comprising labels with barcodes corresponding to specific sample collection data and information. The labels are printed at the location of the sampling and applied on the outside of sample collection devices, such as bottles and coolers, for transport to desired environmental facilities. Each bar code is associated with a unique record number in the Electronic Chain of Custody (ECOC), corresponding to a specific sample. The collection information and data corresponding to the samples are automatically populated to databases in sample testing facilities upon scanning the barcodes. The ECOC is electronically transmitted to sample testing facilities prior to the arrival of the samples.
