SYSTEM AND METHOD OF OPERATING A MANUFACTURING CELL
A system and method for operating a manufacturing cell is provided. The system includes an articulated arm having a plurality of arm segments, each of the arm segments having a transducer. An end effector is coupled to an end of the articulated arm. An electronic circuit is configured in operation to determine a position and orientation of the end effector. A sensor measures in operation a position of an operator. A tool is removably coupled to the end effector. A three-dimensional (3D) scanner is configured in operation to determine three-dimensional coordinates of a surface of an object, the 3D scanner being removably coupled to the end effector. A controller determines when the operator is within a predetermined distance of the articulated arm and altering a speed or a movement of the articulated arm to avoid contact or reduce the impact of contact between the operator and the articulated arm.
READER FOR OPTICAL INDICIA PRESENTED UNDER TWO OR MORE IMAGING CONDITIONS WITHIN A SINGLE FRAME TIME
The present invention embraces an optical indicia reader, e.g., barcode scanner, that captures images of optical indicia under multiple imaging conditions within the span of a single frame. The reader includes an image sensor having selectively-addressable pixels that can be divided into groups having regions of interest (ROIs) within the reader field of view. Each pixel group is shuttered separately to obtain independent partial frame images under separate imaging conditions.
PORTABLE TERMINAL
A portable terminal including a grip section capable of being gripped by a hand of a user in a predetermined gripping style, a first switch section provided such that at least a pressing target portion is exposed from a first surface of a terminal main body and capable of being operated by an index finger of the hand of the user gripping the grip section in the gripping style, and a second switch section provided such that at least a pressing target portion is exposed from a second surface of the terminal main body positioned opposite to the first surface and capable of being operated by a thumb of the gripping hand of the user in the gripping style, in which the pressing target portion of the first switch section is set to require operating force greater than operating force required for the pressing target portion of the second switch section.
Computer-implemented systems and methods for real estate property showing
A computer-implemented method for controlling access of a user to a structure, or objects stored within a compartment of a secure lockbox is provided. In some embodiments, the method may be used to control the access of a user to a structure, or one or more objects, such as a key, located in the compartment of a secure lockbox. In further embodiments the method may include the steps of: receiving identification information describing the user from the secure lockbox or electronically-controllable electronic lock device; receiving identification information of an account holder; verifying the received identification information of the user against the account holder information; providing an unlock code to the secure lockbox or the electronically-controllable electronic lock device if the user identification information matches the account holder information. Also disclosed is an improved secure lockbox having a compartment formed therein, which includes an electronically-actuated latching mechanism coupled to a moveable element, such as a door; a network interface; a sensor for sensing a characteristic related to a user attempting to gain access to the compartment; and a processor, wherein the processor is adapted to cause the network interface to transmit information indicative of a sensed characteristic of a user attempting to gain access to the lockbox compartment and capable of processing an unlock signal.
Method and system of forensic encryption
A system for forensic encryption may be described. This system may include: a 2D barcode pattern comprising a plurality of standard 2D barcode elements printed in a region on a printable surface, and which is affixed to a unique product; and at least one glyph printed within the area of the 2D barcode pattern; wherein the at least one glyph is generated from information identifying the unique product; and wherein the 2D standard barcode elements may be decoded by a first 2D barcode scanner to yield product information, and wherein a second scan is done by a user, to verify if the label in hand corresponds to the glyph shown on screen. In another embodiment, the 2D barcode pattern including the at least one glyph may be decoded by a second 2D barcode scanner to yield different product information.
ELECTRONIC JUSTICE CITATION MOBILE USER INTERFACE METHOD, SYSTEM AND APPARATUS
A user interface method, apparatus, and system facilitated by a client device. One or more screens of a user interface can be displayed through a client device. The user interface allows a law enforcement officer to quickly collect, manage, and issue a citation to a violator through said client device in a minimal time.
DEVICES AND SYSTEMS FOR BARCODING INDIVIDUAL WELLS AND VESSELS
The invention generally relates to devices and systems for individually barcoding sample vessels. In certain embodiments, the devices comprise an attachment member and an extension member, where the extension member can accommodate an identifier, such as a barcode. When loaded into a substrate, the barcoded vials are scanned by a barcode reader.
Laser Driving Mode for Aiming System of Barcode Imager
Method and systems for driving an aiming assembly of a barcode imager are provided. An example method includes obtaining an operating mode of the barcode imager having an aiming assembly and, in response, determining a duty cycle of an aiming pulse of the aiming assembly. That duty cycle is determined as a percentage of a frame duration of an imager sensor and, further, such that simultaneous constraints are satisfied by the aiming pulse. The constraints include a simultaneous frame duration-independent, peak pulse optical power constraint and a frame duration-dependent heat dissipation constraint.
Bioptic barcode reader and carrier assembly for a bioptic barcode reader
Bioptic barcode readers are disclosed herein. An example bioptic barcode reader includes an upper housing and a lower housing secured directly to the upper housing, the lower housing and the upper housing defining an interior region. The upper housing includes a horizontally extending portion, an integral and unitary tower portion extending above the horizontally extending portion, a generally horizontal window positioned in the horizontally extending portion, and a generally upright window positioned in the tower portion. An imaging sensor, at least one intermediate mirror, at least one vertical output mirror, and at least one horizontal output mirror are positioned within the interior region.
Optical scanning for line-of-sight communications to optical tags
An optical communication device can address these and other issues by utilizing a system and method in which an optical device emits a series of laser pulses that trace a spiral path over a coverage area. Each laser pulse containing a packet of information modulated at a relatively rate to help mitigate adverse effects from device movements, scintillation, and the like. The beam width of the laser, speed of the scan (along the spiral path), and number of laser pulses can be configured such that corresponding response pulses (e.g., retro-modulated pulses) received from an illuminated tag within the coverage may have a variety of different amplitudes, increasing the likelihood that at least one of the response pulses will have power characteristics that facilitate a proper decoding of the response pulse.
