Systems and methods for remote atm access
Systems and methods of remotely configuring a transaction based, in part, on location information for execution by a computing device associated with a financial institution computing system include a backend system configured to receive location information associated with a user device, determine the location information associated with the user device matches a location configured for pre-staging an ATM transaction, transmit an ATM pre-stage authorization signal to the user device, transmit an authentication decision to the user device, and transmit a transaction code to the user device.
Product verification in a messaging system
The subject technology analyzes image data to recognize an object corresponding to an identification indicator of a physical item. The subject technology extracts verification metadata from the identification indicator, the verification metadata including information for verifying whether the physical item is an authentic item. The subject technology receives manufacturer verification information based at least in part on the verification metadata. The subject technology receives provenance information associated with the physical item based at least in part on the manufacturer verification information and the verification metadata. The subject technology causes display of a media overlay including the physical item based at least in part on the provenance information, wherein the media overlay includes an indication of authenticity of the physical item.
Local tone mapping for symbol reading
Embodiments related to local tone mapping for symbol reading. A local pixel neighborhood metric is determined for at least one raw pixel in a region-of-interest, which identifies on one or more raw pixels near the at least one raw pixel. A local mapping function is determined for the at least one raw pixel that maps the value of the raw pixel to a mapped pixel value with a mapped bit depth that is smaller than the bit depth associated with the raw image. The local mapping function is based on a value of at least one other raw pixel near the at least one raw pixel within the local pixel neighborhood metric, and at least one parameter determined based on the raw image. A mapped image is computed for the region-of-interest by applying the local mapping function to the raw image.
WASTE SEPARATION DEVICE
A waste separation devices includes a source of radiation for irradiating waste, a camera for capturing an image of the waste when irradiated by the source of radiation, where an item in the waste is provided with a pattern in or on a surface of the item, the pattern forming a repetition of dots, a code being stored in a sequence of adjacent ones of the dots, a data processing device for processing the image to detect the pattern and for deriving the code from the sequence of adjacent ones of the dots of the pattern, and a separator for separating in accordance with the code the item the pattern from the waste. The pattern may be a relief pattern. The relief pattern may comprise a pattern of bumps and recesses. The pattern, such as in a form of a relief, may also be applied to identify the item.
LIGHT EMITTING APPARATUS AND NON-TRANSITORY COMPUTER READABLE MEDIUM
A light emitting apparatus includes a light source, and a processor configured to perform control to cause the light source to blink in a blink pattern corresponding to output information including identification information unique to the light emitting apparatus, and configured to, when causing the light source to blink by repeating the blink pattern, change a time interval between the blink patterns.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS TO DETERMINE A MACHINE-READABLE OPTICAL CODE BASED ON SCREEN-CAPTURED VIDEO
Systems and methods configured to determine a machine-readable optical code based on screen-captured video are disclosed. Exemplary implementations may: receive, via a user interface of a client computing platform, an indication to begin a screen-captured video; initiate, based on the indication, the screen-captured video; effectuate an image decoding machine configured to parse and decode images and/or the video frames for information embedded into the images and/or the video frames to: parse the video frames for a machine-readable optical code; for individual ones of the video frames with the machine-readable optical code, extract embedded information from the machine-readable optical code; and decode the embedded information for metadata; and effectuate, via the user interface, presentation of information derived from the metadata.
INDICIA READER ACOUSTIC FOR MULTIPLE MOUNTING POSITIONS
An indicia reader can include an indicia-capturing system, an indicia-decoding module, and an audio indicator system having a sound source. An indicia-reader housing can support these components, and the housing includes two adjacent mounting surfaces and a sound port opening formed within a portion of the common edge of the two adjacent surfaces. The indicia reader can be operatively mounted in at least two different positions by attaching one of the two adjacent surfaces to a support structure. The reader's sound port opening is in acoustic communication with the sound source of the audio indicator for transmitting audible indications emitted via the audio indicator system when the indicia reader is mounted in either of the at least two different mounting positions.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR LOCATION BASED INDIVIDUALIZED MOBILE CONTENT AND MOBILE WALLET OFFERS
A system for displaying customized mobile content to users at a venue via a user device, includes a server system in conjunction with a plurality of machine readable codes mounted within the venue. The server system performs the following steps: providing mobile content in a database; collecting user data associated with the user; receiving a request from one of the user devices, the request being generated by scanning one of the machine readable codes with the user device; determining the user data associated with the user who scanned the machine readable code; selecting, based upon the user data, customized mobile content from the mobile content in the database; and providing the customized mobile content to the user device.
Waste separation method
A method of waste separation includes irradiating the waste by a source of radiation, capturing an image of the waste when irradiated by the source of radiation; where an item in the waste is provided with a pattern, the pattern being provided in or on a surface of the item, the pattern forming a repetition of dots, a code being stored in a sequence of adjacent ones of the dots, processing the image to detect the pattern; deriving the code from the sequence of adjacent ones of the dots of the pattern; separating in accordance with the code the item the pattern from the waste. The pattern may be a relief pattern. The relief pattern may comprise a pattern of bumps and recesses. The pattern, such as in a form of a relief, may also be applied to identify the item.
