A sample analysis system and a sample management method are provided. The sample analysis system includes: one or more analysis devices configured to test a sample; a scanning component configured to scan the sample to obtain scanning information before testing the sample by the analysis devices; an image information obtaining component configured to acquire image information of a region in the sample containing a sample identifier; a processor configured to identify the sample identifier of the sample according to at least one of the scanning information or the image information of the sample. The system can obtain the sample identifier of a sample in two ways, thus improving the efficiency of sample test.

System Integrating UI for Manual Input with Scanning of Encoded Data Markings
20220230008 · 2022-07-21 ·

A device includes: an image sensor to capture images of an object within an FOV, a guide projector and a processor. The processor is to analyze some of the images to detect entry of an encoded data marking carried by the object into the FOV, and in response to detecting such entry into the FOV: operate the guide projector to project a visual guide onto the object to guide movement of the encoded data marking to a first location indicated by the visual guide within the FOV; analyze more of the images to detect such movement to the first location, and then to a second location within the FOV; and in response to the movement to the second location, interpret the movement to the second location as receipt of manual input; and in response to the manual input, transmit data decoded from the encoded data marking to another device.

System and method for aligning a laser scanning device for measurement of a volume of a container

Systems and methods are provided for aligning a laser scanning device for measurement of a volume of a container. A method includes: causing an autonomous vehicle coupled to the laser scanning device to move to a location at a known distance from a reference circumference; generating data indicative of locations of points along a portion of the reference circumference; determining, based on the data, an alignment angle by which the autonomous vehicle is to steer such that an axis of the laser scanning device that intersects the container passes through a center axis of the container; causing the autonomous vehicle to steer by the alignment angle, such that the laser scanning device is thereby aligned normal to a tangent plane of a wall of the container; and measuring a plurality of horizontal offsets of the wall relative to the reference circumference for use in determining the volume.

Inductive aiming trigger

A handheld code reader may include a main structure, a handle extending from the main structure, and a trigger configured to be pulled by a finger of a user holding the handle. The code reader may further include a conductive element, an antenna configured to sense an inductive change caused by the trigger moving the conductive element, and electronics in electrical communication with the antenna, the electronics configured to determine when the inductive change is indicative of a user selecting to activate a pre-trigger aiming function.

Detecting discrete optical patterns using depth estimation

Image data from a camera and depth information from a depth sensor, such as a LiDAR system, are used to segment an image for decoding an optical pattern. The image data is spatially correlated with the depth information. The depth information is used to partition the image into one or more foreground segments and one or more background segments. Scanning for the optical pattern is performed on the one or more foreground segments.

INTERCHANGEABLE CONNECTOR PANEL SYSTEM FOR FIXED MOUNT INDUSTRIAL SCANNERS

Interchangeable connector panel systems for fixed mount industrial scanners are disclosed herein. An example interchangeable connector panel system for fixed mount industrial scanners includes a housing including a mounting mechanism and a coupling mechanism, an image capture assembly at least partially disposed within the housing, and a first field-interchangeable removable connector module. The image capture assembly includes an optical assembly, a decoder engine, at least one image capture assembly interface, and at least one of a central processing unit or a graphics processing unit. The first field-interchangeable removable connector module couples with the coupling mechanism of the housing and is removable by a user in-field. The first removable connector module includes at least one connector module interface and an input/output (I/O) interface having a first configuration. The at least one image capture assembly interface communicatively couples with the at least one connector module interface to allow transmission between the I/O interface and the image capture assembly.

METHODS AND APPARATUSES TO INDICATE OFF-PLATTER WEIGH CONDITIONS

Example methods and apparatuses to indicate off-platter weigh conditions are disclosed herein. An example barcode reading and weighing apparatus includes a weigh platter; a scale; an off-platter detection assembly configured to detect an off-platter weigh condition; a processor in communication with the scale and the off-platter detection assembly; and a non-transitory machine-readable storage medium storing instructions that, when executed by the processor, cause the barcode reading and weighing apparatus to, responsive to detecting the off platter condition: compose a weight-conveying message, the weight-conveying message including (i) a weight-conveying field having the weight encoded therein and (ii) overhead information, the overhead information being operative, when the weight-conveying message is received by a POS system, to cause the POS system to not accept the weight for the transaction, the overhead information also not indicating the off-platter weigh condition to the POS system; and send the weight-conveying message to the POS system.

WIRED MULTI-FACTOR AUTHENTICATION FOR ATMS USING AN AUTHENTICATION MEDIA

An Automated Teller Machine (ATM) terminal receives a transaction request from a user. The ATM terminal triggers a camera to capture a first image of the authentication media item presented by the user, where the first image of the authentication media item is embedded with a first unique code. The ATM terminal compares the first image of the authentication media item with a second image of the authentication media item that is associated with the user, where the second image of the authentication media item is embedded with a second unique code for verifying the user. The ATM terminal determines whether the first unique code corresponds to the second unique code. The ATM terminal conducts the transaction request if it is determined that the first unique code corresponds to the second unique code.
