DATA COLLECTION METHOD, DATA COLLECTION SYSTEM, AND COMPUTER READABLE MEDIUM
Provided are a data collection method, a data collection system and a computer program for automatically collecting data in stages in classification. A data collection method is implemented by one or more processors connected to a sorting machine sorting articles to different sorting destinations. The method comprising: acquiring, by a processor, an identification code of an article from a reader provided on the sorting machine for identifying the article; acquiring, by a processor, image data of the article identified by the identification code from a camera that is attached so as to image the article after being read by the reader; storing, by a processor, the acquired image data so as to be associated with the acquired identification code.
MEASUREMENT ACCESSORY DEVICE
A measurement accessory device connectable to a measurement apparatus or to a device under test wherein the measurement accessory device comprises means for providing characteristic data of said measurement accessory device in machine readable form used by said measurement apparatus during measurement of said device under test.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR TRACKING BAGGAGE ON CRUISE LINERS
A system and method for tracking baggage on cruise liners are provided. A baggage tag is created which includes a unique baggage identifier and a unique passenger identifier that has been allocated by a reservation system. The identifiers are associated and stored in a baggage message. The baggage tag is affixed to an item of baggage and as the passenger checks in the item the tag is scanned and the bag validated and the status of the item in the baggage message is updated. When the passenger boards the ship, they scan a touch point with a mobile communications device which indicates that the item of baggage can now be delivered to their cabin. Shortly before arrival at port, the bags are loaded into a baggage container for unloading at the port and each bag tag is scan and associated with a scanned container identifier. The container is notified to the passenger through a message sent to their mobile communications device. When the container is unloaded the bag tag and the container are both scanned to ensure that the item of baggage has been loaded into the correct container and an error is flagged if the container associated with the bag tag does not match the scanned container.
METHOD FOR DISPLAYING BARCODE ON ACTIVE BARCODE DISPLAY AND ELECTRONIC DEVICE OF THE SAME
The disclosure provides a method for displaying a barcode. The method includes: utilizing an electronic device to obtain information; and displaying a barcode on an active barcode display according to the information; wherein when displaying the barcode on the active barcode display of the electronic device, a contrast ratio of black and white bar codes in the barcode is greater than about 30%. Another method for displaying a barcode is also provided, the method includes: utilizing an electronic device to identify a barcode displayed on a display of the electronic device to generate information; and displaying a generated barcode on an active barcode display according to the information; wherein when displaying the generated barcode on the active barcode display of the electronic device, a contrast ratio of black and white bar codes in the generated barcode is greater than 30%. Associated electronic devices are also disclosed.
INTERACTIVE ELECTRONIC DEVICE
An interactive electronic device includes an image capture module, a response module and a processing module. The image capture module is for capturing images. The processing module is for generating a first or second command set according to the image and output a control signal. The response module is for driving the interactive electronic device to perform a first continuous reaction corresponding to a specific pattern contained in the image according to the first command set or drive the interactive electronic device to perform a second continuous reaction according to the second command set. The processing module is further for replacing, adding or deleting at least a command in the first command set in a random manner thereby randomly obtaining a new command set.
GROUND UNIT, AIRCRAFT AND METHOD FOR TRANSMITTING FLIGHT INSTRUCTIONS FROM A GROUND UNIT TO AN AIRCRAFT
The transmission of flight instructions from a ground unit to an aircraft comprising an onboard system. The ground unit is configured to generate, on the basis of flight data intended for the aircraft, at least one optical symbol containing a flight instruction. The onboard system comprises an optical reader and a flight management system. The optical reader is configured to read the optical symbol and to transfer the flight instruction contained in the symbol to the flight management system to prepare the flight of the aircraft.
SIMPLE CODE READER
Embodiments of the present disclosure provide code readers for reading codes provided as patterns imprinted on objects. Light interacts with a pattern by e.g. being reflected from or transmitted through the pattern, and at least some of the light that has interacted with the pattern is incident on photosensitive element(s) of one or more photodetectors of a code reader. The code reader employs centroid-measuring photodetector(s), i.e. photodetectors that detect light in such a manner that centroid of a pattern can be obtained directly from the photocurrents generated as a result of the photosensitive elements detecting light incident thereon. The code reader is then configured to process the detected light to determine a centroid of the pattern from the detected light and to decode data encoded in the pattern based on a position of the centroid. Such code readers are substantially less complex than camera-based devices and avoid mechanical scanning.
CROSS-CHANNEL SECURITY AUTHENTICATION
Various embodiments each include at least one of systems, devices, methods, and software for cross-channel security authentication, such as with regard to providing of payment card (e.g., credit and debit card) data for payment within a transaction. One such embodiment, in the form of a method includes receiving, by a payment account app on a mobile device, a payment authorization request and subsequently receiving approval or denial input within the payment account app following receipt of valid payment account authentication input. This method, following receipt of approval input, further includes generating authorized payment output to provide in response to the received payment authorization request.
Processing Techniques for Text Capture From a Rendered Document
A facility for initiating a purchase is described. The facility receives a text sequence captured by a user from a rendered document using a handheld text capture device. The facility identifies in the received text sequence a reference to a distinguished product. In response to identifying the reference, the facility presents to the user an opportunity to place an order for the established product. If the user accepts the presented opportunity to order the distinct product, the facility orders the distinct product on behalf of the user.
Method of using camera sensor interface to transfer multiple channels of scan data using an image format
A computer system for decoding a signal of decodable indicia is disclosed. The computer system includes a laser scanner configured that outputs a signal of decodable indicia and a microprocessor that include a camera sensor interface that is configured to receive the signal from the laser scanner.
