Disclosed is an electronic device card socket capable of preventing the breakage of a hinge and preventing noise (static), which is caused by movement between respective parts, in the tray-type card socket. The electronic device card socket according to one embodiment of the present disclosure includes a socket housing, a socket cover, an ejecting hinge part, and ejecting bar, and a movement preventing means. The socket housing has a space into which a tray equipped with a card is inserted. The socket cover is provided at the upper part of the socket housing. The ejecting hinge part is rotatably hinge-coupled to one side of the socket housing so as to push the tray forward and separate the same when the ejecting hinge part rotates. The ejecting bar is provided at the other side of the socket housing so as to move in the forward and backward directions, and is connected to the ejecting hinge part so as to rotate the ejecting hinge part when the ejecting bar moves forward and backward. The movement preventing means prevents the movement of the ejecting hinge part and/or the ejecting bar when vibration is generated between the parts of the card socket.

CARD READER

A card reader may include a card holder and a card ejection mechanism for moving the card holder. The card ejection mechanism includes a connection arm connecting the main body frame with the card holder, a solenoid for bending the connection arm, and an arm urging member urging the connection arm. When the solenoid is switched to a non-energized state, the solenoid pushes the connection arm and the connection arm is changed from an extended posture to a bent posture. The connection arm in the extended posture is restricted from bending to an opposite side to the bent posture side and, in a state that the connection arm is in the extended posture, the arm urging member applies an urging force to the connection arm so that the connection arm is bent to an opposite side to the side of the bent posture.

A card reader may include a card holder structured to hold a card, a main body frame movably holding the card holder, and a card ejection mechanism. The card ejection mechanism includes a connection arm connecting the main body frame with the card holder, a solenoid to bend the connection arm, and an arm urging member urging the connection arm. When the solenoid is switched to a non-energized state, the connection arm changes from an extended posture to an intermediate posture to a bent posture. The arm urging member applies an urging force to the connection arm so as to bend to the bent posture side in a state that the connection arm is in the intermediate posture. Further, the connection arm pushes the plunger when the connection arm is changed from the bent posture to the extended posture.

TECHNIQUES TO PROVIDE PHYSICAL TRANSACTION CARD CAPABILITIES FOR A DEVICE

A card tray structure, a card tray assembly, and an electronic device. The card tray structure includes a card tray. The card tray includes a supporting body. The supporting body is a frame enclosed by a frame edge. A first platform portion is arranged at an edge on one side of the frame edge to form a first card slot, and a second platform portion is arranged at an edge on an other side of the frame edge to form a second card slot. The card tray further include: a first connecting beam and a second connecting beam, where the first connecting beam is arranged correspondingly to the second card slot, and the second connecting beam is arranged correspondingly to the first card slot.

CARD READER AND CARD READER CONTROL METHOD

A card reader use in a higher-level device may include a card transfer path; a card insertion detecting mechanism; a transfer roller; a turn detecting mechanism structured to detect a turn of the transfer roller; a card detecting mechanism; and a control unit. The control unit structured such that, if the card detecting mechanism switches from the OFF situation to the ON situation after the card insertion detecting mechanism switches from the OFF situation to the ON situation, even though no turn of the transfer roller is detected by the turn detecting mechanism, the control unit of the card reader sends a control unit of the higher-level device an alarm signal for notifying that a skimming device has been inserted through the insertion slot.

Line card ejector with emergency release

In one embodiment, an apparatus includes a line card ejector configured to engage with a chassis to retain the line card within a slot in the chassis in a closed position, a locking member movable between a locked position in which the ejector is locked in its closed position and an unlocked position in which the ejector may be moved to an open position to remove the line card from the chassis, and an actuation device for moving the locking member from its locked position to its unlocked position. The locking member comprises an accessible release lever for moving the locking member from its locked position to its unlocked position without use of the actuation device for emergency release and removal of the line card. A method for emergency release of the line card is also disclosed herein.

Magnetic Card Reader

A magnetic card reader is provided and includes the holder which is movable both in the card-inserting direction and the card-ejecting direction in the card pathway. The magnetic card is held in the holder which is energized in the card-ejecting direction. Therefore, when the card latch lever is retracted, the auto eject operation of the magnetic card is implemented. The distance between the card-receiving surface on the holder positioned in the insertion-waiting position and the reading-writing position in the X direction is longer than the length from the edge of the magnetic card on the back side X2 to the edge of the magnetic data recording range on the front side X1. Therefore, the magnetic card is prevented from hitting the card-receiving surface and therefore from receiving impact while the magnetic data recording range on the magnetic card is passing the reading-writing position.
