DIRECT DEPOSIT INK ESTIMATION MECHANISM
A system is disclosed. The system at least one physical memory device to store ink estimation logic and one or more processors coupled with the at least one physical memory device, to execute the ink estimation logic to receive a histogram for each of a plurality of color planes, receive uncalibrated ink deposition data for a printing system, perform a direct conversion of the uncalibrated ink deposition data to generate first calibrated ink deposition data and generate estimated ink usage data for each of the plurality of color planes based on the histograms and the first calibrated ink deposition data.
Logic circuitry
A logic circuit for a replaceable print component is configured to, in response to a plurality of commands including a first command specifying the new I2C communications address and a first calibration parameter, a second command specifying the new I2C communications address and a second calibration parameter, a third command specifying the new I2C communications address and a class parameter, and/or fourth commands specifying the new I2C communications address and sub-class parameters, and at least one read request, generate count values in a count value range defined by a highest and lowest count value.
AN INTELLIGENT PRINT DEVICE MANIPULATION TOOL THAT CONTINUALLY TRACKS & PROGRESSIVELY ALTERS THE PRINT DEVICE SETTINGS
An intelligent Print Device monitoring & manipulation method provided on a host computer that continually tracks in the connected/accessible print devices parameters like toner or ink cartridge/container along with identities & toner levels. As & when certain device statuses change, the invention will accordingly & progressively alter the density/resolution and such allied print device setting to achieve higher page yield from the available toner/ink present in cartridge. The alteration activity can be initiated automatically on-site &/or manually from remote location, when it is added as part of system platform that bridges client sites having print devices and the host computer to external service providers.
CONSUMABLE CHARACTERISTIC IDENTIFICATION
A consumable characteristic identification method is provided. The method comprises the following steps: detecting a consumable package (210); identifying a characteristic about a consumable associated with the consumable package (215); modifying a device setting according to the identified characteristic (220); and appending a log entry associated with the consumable package to a user activity log (225). A consumable characteristic identification apparatus and no-transitory machine-readable storage medium are also provided.
Management system, method, management server, and computer-readable storage medium storing program
A printing apparatus management server manages a plurality of printing apparatuses, obtains, in response to a request from a voice device management server, information of a predetermined printing apparatus registered, from the plurality of printing apparatuses, as a printing apparatus to be used in the printing apparatus management server, transmits, to the voice device management server, the obtained information of the predetermined printing apparatus, obtains remaining amount information transmitted from the predetermined printing apparatus, and transmits the obtained remaining amount information to the consumable item management server. Voice notification to a user is performed, via a voice device configured to communicate with the voice device management server, based on the obtained remaining amount information, and processing for placing an order for the consumable item is performed based on a voice instruction from the user accepted by the voice device.
Method for controlling image-processing devices and facility for carrying out such method
A procedure and installation of the same for the control of image processing devices using only the data required; thus, avoiding saturation of the memories of the components involved and/or the communications bandwidth. The procedure and installation are simple and reliable such as not to require the involvement of an expert user or a service staff member. The procedure includes the standardization of the data identifiers for each image processing device via the identification of the identifier containing a value for each data point and checking that the scale of each data point is equivalent to a predetermined scale. The installation includes a standardization system for such purpose.
Image recording apparatus
There is provided a liquid discharge apparatus including a conveyer, a carriage, a head and a controller. In a case of recording an image on a recording medium, the controller executes: obtaining information regarding a supply state of liquid from a liquid tank to the head in a case of executing each of recording passes; determining a moving velocity of the carriage with respect to each of the recording passes, based on the obtained information regarding the supply state; and adjusting a conveyance amount, by which the recording medium is conveyed in each of conveying operations, depending on moving velocities of the carriage determined with respect to two continuous recording passes, respectively, included in the recording passes, so as to adjust length in the conveyance direction of an overlap area in which recording areas by the two continuous recording passes overlap with each other.
Image forming apparatus and control method for image forming apparatus
An apparatus and method for detecting replacement of a consumable to be used for image formation is provided. The replacement detection mechanism, in response to detecting replacement of the consumable is needed, counter data including a number of printed sheets using the consumable is initialized, without initialization of learning data for determining a remaining use period from a use amount in a predetermined period of the consumable.
SERVER, NON-TRANSITORY COMPUTER-READABLE RECORDING MEDIUM STORING COMPUTER-READABLE INSTRUCTIONS FOR SERVER, AND METHOD EXECUTED BY SERVER
The server may receive consumable article information including usage information from an external device and determine by using the usage information included in the consumable article information whether a first notification condition is satisfied. In a case where it is determined that the first notification condition is satisfied, the server may send by using a first communication method a first notification for prompting an order of a new consumable article to external. After the first notification has been sent to external, the server may determine whether a second notification condition is satisfied. In a case where it is determined that the second notification condition is satisfied, the server may send by using a second communication method a second notification for prompting the order of the new consumable article to external.
