The present invention provides a method and apparatus for the production and labeling of objects in a manner suitable for the prevention and detection of counterfeiting. Thus, the system incorporates a variety of features that make unauthorized reproduction difficult. In addition, the present invention provides a system and method for providing a dynamically reconfigurable watermark, and the use of the watermark to encode a stochastically variable property of the carrier medium for self-authentication purposes.

A system for labeling an object uses at least one object label made from a material that absorbs and reflects incident energy uniformly across all wavelengths of incident energy at a ratio proportional to a thickness of the material and that includes a pattern having variations in the thickness of the material along at least one of two orthogonal directions across the label. An interrogator directs a predetermined wavelength of radiation to the at least one label, and a reader to receives reflected radiation from the label at the predetermined wavelength and interprets the reflected radiation to recognize the pattern.

A capsule that includes the code support, as well as a system to read and process the code support, are also disclosed. Further disclosed is a method of reading and processing the code support.

The present invention relates to a label for marking items comprising a carrier material with a top side and a bottom side. The carrier material is printable at least on the top side. The physical and chemical characteristics of the glass tube semi-finished product are not altered for producing the first marking.

An augmented reality system for procedural guidance identifies a fiducial marker object in a frame of a first field of view generated by a camera, determines a pose of the fiducial marker object, applies the fiducial marker pose to generate a first transformation between a first coordinate system of the fiducial marker object and a second coordinate system of the camera, and applies a pose of a headset to determine a second transformation between the first coordinate system and a third coordinate system of the headset.

A device and system for providing identification and medical information are disclosed. The device includes a readable code that contains medical biographical information of the subject, a programmable reporter element that is programmed to electronically store at least one particular event relating to the subject, and a signal producing element functionally related to the programmable reporter element. In one aspect, a method for providing identification and medical information from a subject includes providing a subject with a device comprising a Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) tag and scanning the RFID tag with the RFID reader. The RFID tag includes a chip configured to be scanned and read by an RFID reader, whereby the chip is wirelessly linked to a server containing medical and biographical information specific to the subject.
