Position/weight-activated knee locking mechanism

A passive knee locking mechanism using the position of the shank and the weight of the user to lock. The mechanism has translational motion, which allows the shank to move linearly along the sagittal/vertical plane, which locks and unlocks the knee, and rotational motion for the shank to swing when unlocked. The knee block, which is disposed at the top of the shank, has a spur gear that locks with a matching gear rack on the top plate of the knee housing. The side plates for the knee housing have a linear path that makes for the translational motion. During heel strike, the stopper in the front plate of the knee housing positions the shank in a straight position. When the user applies their weight for initiating stance phase, the knee block traverses up the path and the spur gear meshes with the matching rack, locking the knee.

The present disclosure provides a prosthetic thumb. The prosthetic thumb employs a specialized thumb rotating rack for matched mounting of the prosthetic thumb; the thumb rotating rack is connected between the thumb front support and the thumb back support through the coaxially arranged thumb front supporting shaft and thumb back supporting shaft; and the lead connected with the motor in the prosthetic thumb passes through the lead through hole through the thumb rotating rack open slot and no longer passes through a side face as in the prior art, so that when the thumb rotating rack is rotated due to opposite palm and side palm operation of the prosthetic thumb, the lead is not pulled and bent due to the rotation of the thumb rotating rack, and the service life of the lead is prolonged.

Provided is a wearable assisted-walking device including one lower attachment body to the foot defining a lower anchoring point at the heel of the foot of a leg of the user; an upper attachment body to an upper part of the leg proximal from the knee defining an upper ventral anchoring point and an upper dorsal anchoring point arranged on the opposite side of the coronal plane of the user; and an intermediate attachment body defining a first intermediate anchoring point, a second intermediate anchoring point and a third intermediate anchoring point, each anchoring point movable respect and connected by cables to the leg; the intermediate attachment body being adapted to store the energy by a relative motion between the anchoring points and then use it for assist walking.

The magnetic field of the magnetic field generating unit can be applied to the channel in order to selectively chain together the particles and/or release them.
