[Problem] To provide a technology enabling accurate recognition of an occupancy status of each seat, while reducing entire system cost. [Solution] A server device 20 (information processing device) includes: a vacant seat information creation unit 210 configured to create vacant seat information indicating a vacant seat in a seat space, by processing an image received from an imaging means for capturing an image of the seat space; a seat selection unit 220 for performing a process of selecting a seat to be used by a customer, by the use of the vacant seat information and in collaboration with a POS (Point of Sale) device (shop terminal 30) for handling payment for an item; and a seat information output unit 230 for outputting information indicating the selected seat.

TECHNIQUES FOR VEHICLE PARKING MANAGEMENT AND INVITATION-BASED PERMITTING

A parking management system identifies vehicles in entrance lanes, exit lanes, or both, of a parking facility and provides a real-time vehicle inventory count. One or more beacons locate point of sale (POS) devices assigned to parking attendants to determine which of them are performing vehicle transactions. Vehicles can be associated with specific transactions, as well as the transaction-authorizing attendant and the barrier gate and vehicle travel lane to which the attendant is assigned. To reduce fraud, this transaction information can be monitored in real time by a web or mobile dashboard and analyzed in real time or upon attendant end-of-shift checkout. The parking management system also implements permit parking invitation techniques that provide registration, payment in advance or on demand, or both, for parking of an invitee's vehicle. These tasks are accomplished without an inviter's knowledge about the invitee, the invitee's vehicle, or both.

Electronic payment method and electronic device for supporting the same

An electronic device is provided. The electronic device includes a memory configured to store at least one first information provided from an external server in connection with operating electronic payment, a display configured to output a user interface (UI) accompanied with the electronic payment, and a processor configured to be electrically connected with the memory and the display. The processor is configured to detect at least one second information associated with an environment where the electronic device is operated, determine a product to perform the electronic payment, based on the first information and the second information, and include and output information about the product and payment information associated with payment of the product on a specified region of the UI.

INFORMATION PROCESSING APPARATUS, MANAGEMENT SYSTEM AND MANAGEMENT METHOD

The information processing apparatus includes a nonvolatile memory which is not directly accessible from an OS (Operating System) and stores a count value which indicates a remaining period of a use period, a processor which executes a process which is based on a BIOS (Basic Input Output System), and to prohibit activation of the OS in a case where the count value that the nonvolatile memory stores is a predetermined value and to execute an OS-based activation process in a case where the count value is other than the predetermined value and a count value change section which operates independently of the OS and counts and changes the count value that the nonvolatile memory stores every predetermined unit period in a case where the information processing apparatus is in a working state and the count value is other than the predetermined value.

DIGITAL RIGHTS MANAGEMENT USING DISTRIBUTED LEDGERS
20220383282 · 2022-12-01 ·

Systems and methods for managing digital rights associated with digital objects using distributed ledgers are provided. A digital object marketplace receives a request to access a digital object via an interface provided by the digital object marketplace. The marketplace queries the user's digital wallet for a license token generated by a smart contract for the digital object deployed in a distributed ledger. If the user does not have a license token, the marketplace prompts the user to purchase one. If the user submits a request to purchase a license token, a payment is transferred, using the smart contract, from the user's digital wallet to the digital wallet of the owner of the digital object. Further, the license token is added to the user's digital wallet. This enables the user to access the digital object via the interface.

Print job management across subscription services

An example of an apparatus includes a network interface to receive print data from a device, the print data associated with a first subscription service. The apparatus also includes a memory storage unit to store the print data including a database of subscription services, wherein the database of subscription services includes the first subscription service and a second subscription service. In addition, the apparatus includes a subscription manager to manage the database of subscription services. The subscription manager deducts print credit from a first subscription service account based on the print data. The apparatus includes a selection engine to select a printing device for the print data, wherein the printing device is associated with the second subscription service.

Device for launching multiple peer to peer cashless payment applications on mobile devices
11514428 · 2022-11-29 ·

A device includes one or more NFC chips that are preprogrammed to provide a payee's identification and information for launching any of several P2P cashless payment applications to which the payee is subscribed, to a mobile phone of a payor. When a mobile device of a payor is brought to the vicinity of an NFC chip of the device, the mobile device launches a corresponding P2P cashless payment application. The P2P cashless payment application shows the payee's information and the payor may proceed to make a payment to the payee. The device may include an NFC chip that is preprogrammed to provide the payee's identification and the information for launching a single application on the mobile device of the payor to display the P2P cashless payment applications to which the payee is subscribed. The payor may then proceed to make a payment to the payee using the payor's mobile device.

GRAPHICAL USER INTERFACE FOR PARTIAL AMOUNT REDUCTIONS
20220374115 · 2022-11-24 ·

A machine may be configured to facilitate partial reductions of an amount by generating and providing a graphical user interface that enables a user to specify one or more partial reductions of the amount, thus defining or otherwise controlling how the amount is to be reduced in stages by such partial reductions. For example, in situations where a total amount is to be reduced in stages by multiple partial reductions, the generated and provided graphical user interface may be operable to specify each stage of reduction by enabling the user to select a corresponding account for each stage of reduction. The corresponding account may be selected from among a set of multiple available accounts, each with a respectively corresponding available amount, any portion or all of which may be available to use in that stage of reducing the total amount.

Systems and methods for use in certifying interactions with hosted services

Systems and methods are provided for validating customer use of application programing interfaces (APIs). An exemplary computer-implemented method includes, in response to a request from a customer computing device for use of an API hosted by an API computing device, selecting a test case specific to the API for a test project and transmitting the test project to the customer computing device for execution by the customer computing device. The method also includes monitoring data payloads between the API computing device and the customer computing device and compiling and transmitting a report indicative of a result of the test case based on the monitored data payloads, where the report is indicative of whether the monitored data payloads are compliant with a standard associated with the API, thereby indicating certification of the customer's use of the API to provide at least one service associated with the API, or not.

Post-paid process and system for multipurpose disconnected terminals
11507949 · 2022-11-22 ·

This post-paid process and system for disconnected terminals solves the problem of a disconnected terminal being able to perform post-paid operations securely, using an electronic device of the user to communicate with a central server which creates a token with a temporal validity that serves to activate a compound of the disconnected terminal and, optionally, additional hardware. All operations performed in the terminal are locked to make it impossible to alter the data and signed with a cryptographic key before using the client device as transportation for the operations block to be processed in the central server and charged.
