USE OF A PAYMENT CARD TO UNLOCK A LOCK

Exemplary embodiments may provide keys for unlocking access to a location, like a user room, a secure location, a door at an employee location, a trunk, a closet or other locked location or item, on a payment card. Examples of a payment card include but are not limited to a credit card, a debit card, a smart card, an employee identification card, etc. A secure token that acts as digital key may be uploaded to the payment card. The payment card may then be put in close proximity of a wireless reader at the lock. The wireless reader obtains the secure token and extracts the contents. If the contents are proper, the lock is unlocked. Otherwise, the lock remains locked.

Tokenization platform

A system for generating a digital token that uniquely represents a real-world object is disclosed. The system includes a digital token generation system that generates a unique digital token having a set of digital attributes that correspond to a set of real-world object attributes of a real-world object and to generate a cryptographic link between the unique digital token generated by the cryptographic token generation system and a unique identifier for the unique unit of the real-world object, such that the unique digital token provides a unique digital representation of the unique unit of the real-world object. The system also includes a ledger update system configured to write the unique digital token to a blockchain, thereby facilitating transactions for the real-world object using the digital token, wherein the ledger update system updates a side chain of the blockchain with the unique digital token.

Tokenization platform

A tokenization platform for tokenizing consumer products is disclosed. The system includes an item management system that generates a virtual representation of the consumer product based on a set of attributes of a product. The system also includes a token generation system that generates a unique digital token having a set of digital attributes that correspond to the virtual representation and cryptographically links the digital token and an instance of the virtual representation corresponding to a unit of the consumer product. The system also includes a ledger update system that writes the unique digital token to a cryptographic ledger, thereby facilitating transactions for the unique unit of the consumer product using the unique digital token.

A system and method of provisioning a securable device may include providing a plurality of securable device stations, each securable device station including (i) a controller and (ii) a set of securable devices in local communication with the controller, the controller being configured to enable a user to initiate access to a securable device from a set of securable devices. In response to a first controller of a first securable device station receiving (i) an access indicia and (ii) rental parameter that enables the user to access a securable device located in at least two of the securable device stations from a user, the first controller may communicate the access indicia and rental parameter to a network address that enables, by a second controller, the user to access a securable device at the second securable device station as provided by the rental parameter.

Method and apparatus for fuel island authorization for trucking industry using proximity sensors

A fuel authorization program based on equipping fuel station, fuel pumps, and vehicles with components to enable automatic fuel authorization for enrolled vehicles. The program includes fuel pumps including a pump transmitting sensor that automatically emits a pump ID. As a vehicle pulls in next to the pump a vehicle coupling receiving sensor detects the pump ID signal and a proximity link is created. The vehicle sensor passes the pump ID via hardwire or Bluetooth to vehicle fuel authorization processor (which can be part of a telematics device). The vehicle processor transmits the pump ID (and any fuel authorization credentials needed, such as a PIN or VIN) via WI-FI to a Station processor for fuel vendor authorization. If approved, the pump is enabled. As the vehicle moves away the coupling sensor link is broken and the vehicle transmits a disconnect message via Wi-Fi and the pump is disabled.
