Kiosk gift card system and method
A gift card system and method for purchasing gift cards at a kiosk is disclosed. The system/method includes a gift card distribution kiosk located at a retail establishment that provides a user with access to a multitude of different forms of gift cards that may be purchased and printed onto a customizable card with a personalized message. The kiosk includes a kiosk processor interface, a gift card dispenser, a card reader and gift card management server connected to a network. The gift card management server, through the kiosk processor interface, provides vendor options to users to select and pay via the card reader. In another embodiment, the kiosk is used to redeem unused user gift cards for a reduced value user selected gift card, reduced cash value, full value store card, rewards points, bank debit, and/or electronic code user towards online purchases.
DATABASE MANAGEMENT FOR STORED VALUE MEDIUMS
In some implementations, a device may receive an indication of information associated with a stored value medium. The device may populate a database with the information associated with the stored value medium, where the database includes a table to link the information associated with the stored value medium with an entity identifier of an entity associated with the stored value medium. The device may receive an indication of an exchange associated with the entity identifier of the entity, where the exchange is not associated with the stored value medium. The device may parse the database using the entity identifier associated with the entity to identify the information associated with the stored value medium indicated in the database. The device may communicate, with a backend system, to enable the exchange to be at least partially completed using the resources associated with the stored value medium.
METHODS AND SYSTEMS FOR TRACKING AND REWARDING DISTRIBUTORS OF GIFT CARDS
A method and system for tracking and rewarding distributors and/or distribution partners is disclosed. The method includes receiving a gift card redemption request for funding a subscription account associated with a customer. The gift card redemption request comprises a gift card identifier and a gift amount associated with a gift card for availing a subscription service using the subscription account. The method also includes determining if the subscription account created by the customer is a new subscription account. Further, the method includes tracking the subscription account by assigning a customer identifier for the subscription account, acquiring a subscription service amount for the subscription service availed by the customer and identifying a distributor associated with sale of the gift card to the customer. Furthermore, the method includes facilitating calculation of incentive for the distributor based at least on the subscription service amount and the gift amount.

METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR PROVIDING DIGITAL COMPENSATION
A method for providing digital compensation can include receiving information from a merchant server including a change condition and/or instructions to communicate with a customer. The processor can determine a communication to deliver to the customer and receive one or more selections from the customer. Based on information received from the merchant server and information received from the customer, the processor can determine a type and amount of digital compensation to be provided to the customer, including any parameters to apply to the compensation. The processor can then provide digital compensation to the customer. Following the determination of digital compensation to be provided, information regarding events and experiences and other offers may be communicated to the customer. Following the provision of digital compensation, the system can also monitor the redemption status of the digital compensation.
Prepaid chip card exception processing
A portable consumer device may have money stored therein, which can be calculated using an accumulator record and an exception record. The accumulator record can be incremented by the amount of any initiated transaction using the portable consumer device. The exception record can be incremented by the amount of any completed transaction using the portable consumer device. The portable consumer device may also have a limit amount, to record the amount of money added. The records allow for a later reconstruction of the device history, and can account for any errors or problems during transactions.
USING CARD PRESENT TRANSACTION DATA TO GENERATE PAYMENT TRANSACTION ACCOUNT
A computer-implemented method for providing payment account information in a user account by receiving payment card information by a card reader at a point of sale. An account can be created when the payment card information is read by the card reader. Optionally, a gift card can be scanned prior to the creation of the account, and the gift card information can be combined with the payment card information. The gift card can be an electronic gift card which can be personalized with textual, visual, video, and/or audio portions.
CONNECTING PEOPLE WITHIN PHYSICAL SPACES
Facilitating conversations among people within physical spaces is described. An interaction tablet can be housed within a physical space and configured to receive profile information from mobile devices of customers. The profile information can indicate conversational topics that customers are interested in within the physical space. Similarities between conversational topics of customers can be determined and those customers can be recommended to engage in a conversation regarding that conversational topic. One customer can also be provided information regarding what another customer prefers to purchase from the physical space and, therefore, use the purchase to facilitate a conversation to create a more engaging environment within the physical space.
ANGLE ADJUSTABLE COULTER WHEEL ASSEMBLY
An angle adjustable coulter wheel assembly includes a rotatable shank having a longitudinal axis defined by an upper portion of the shank. The longitudinal axis is oriented neither vertically or horizontally with respect to the ground when the assembly is mounted on a tillage apparatus. A coulter wheel rotatably mounted on the shank proximate a lower portion of the shank. An actuator rotates the upper portion of the shank about the longitudinal axis to cause the face of the coulter wheel to rotate about three orthogonal axes thereby changing orientation of the face of the coulter wheel with respect to the ground when the assembly is on the tillage apparatus. The coulter wheel assembly permits adjusting the angle of the coulter wheel in at least two planes permitting greater control over how much soil the coulter wheel disturbs during tilling.
PROTECTING ONLINE PAYMENTS THROUGH ONE-TIME PAYMENT CARDS
A system and method for a secure remote payments process and for generation of one-time only remote payment cards is presented. Use of the one-time payment (OTP) cards can use multi-factor authentication where one factor is a biometric technique. A process can include generating an OTP card number based on a first encryption algorithm, an expiry date, and a security code based on a second encryption algorithm. A purchase amount, and the OTP card information are decrypted by an issuer to approve payment for a remote payment, after which the OTP card is no longer valid.
