PAYMENT SYSTEM
20220366413 · 2022-11-17 · ·

A method of making a payment in which payment data is received by a user's terminal from a point-of-sale terminal, a secret of a payment application is received by the terminal from the operator's server system, a trust card is activated in the user's terminal by utilizing said secret of the payment application, and data of the trust card is transmitted from the user's terminal to the point-of-sale terminal for making the payment transaction. A trust card is created in the server system, data of the trust card is transmitted to the terminal to be used for making the payment transaction, the secret of the payment application is formed in the server system, and access to the secret of the payment application is provided to the terminal for activating the trust card for making the payment transaction.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR EMAIL-BASED CARD ACTIVATION

Example embodiments of systems and methods for data transmission between a contactless card, a client device, and one or more servers are provided. The contactless card may include one or more processors and memory, which may include one or more applets. The client device may include one or more processors and memory. The client device may be in data communication with the contactless card. One or more servers may be in data communication with the client device. A first set of information may be transmitted from the contactless card to the client device. The first set of information may include one or more links to activate the contactless card via a designated email program. Upon validation of the first set of information by the one or more servers, the contactless card may be activated.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR CONTENT MANAGEMENT USING CONTACTLESS CARDS

Example embodiments of systems and methods for data transmission system between transmitting and receiving devices are provided. In an embodiment, each of the transmitting and receiving devices can contain a master key. The transmitting device can generate a diversified key using the master key, protect a counter value and encrypt data prior to transmitting to the receiving device, which can generate the diversified key based on the master key and can decrypt the data and validate the protected counter value using the diversified key.

METHODS, MEDIUMS, AND SYSTEMS FOR APPLYING A DISPLAY TO A TRANSACTION CARD

Exemplary embodiments relate to updatable displays for transaction cards, such as credit cards or event passes. The displays may be, for instance, an electrophoretic or memory liquid crystal diode display. The transaction card may include a contact pad capable of engaging in wireless communication. Information may be exchanged between the transaction card and a mobile device or terminal, where a processor on the mobile device processes the received information to generate displayable information. The processor updates the display with the displayable information. The contact pad may be electrically connected to the display, and the display may derive electrical power to perform the updating from the wireless communication. For example, where the wireless communication is a near field communication (NFC), a radio frequency field may be generated that supplies enough power to run the processor and at least partially update the display.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR TRANSFERRING VALUES IN REMOTE DATABASES
20220351164 · 2022-11-03 · ·

A method includes receiving a communication identifying a remote database and a first value stored in the remote database that is being transferred to a first entity by a second entity. That first value is capable of being modified by the second entity. Modification of the first value stored in the remote database by the second entity is prevented by identifying an application programming interface allowing operations to be performed on the remote database, and using that API to transfer the first value so as to be associated with one or more other identifiers unknown to the second entity. After modification of the first value stored by the second entity is prevented, a transfer of a second value to a database record associated with the second entity is triggered. Related systems and applications of the method and those systems are also disclosed.

Mobile devices for activating instant disposable payment cards
09805362 · 2017-10-31 · ·

An instant disposable payment card can have a quick response (QR) code. The QR code can be scanned by the user. Scanning the QR code can facilitate activation and/or funding of the instant disposable payment card and/or can facilitate a creation of an account or an activation of a pre-created account at a payment system provider. The user can then use the instant payment card to pay for purchases. A merchant can scan the QR code or swipe a magnetic strip of the instant disposable payment card to effect payment to the merchant for the purchase. An account of the instant disposable payment card can be funded after use thereof to make a purchase.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR CONFIGURATION INFORMATION AUTOFILL AT A BROWSER LINKED WITH USER ACCOUNTS

There are provided systems and methods for a payment information autofill mechanism that links a browser application with a user account such that a payment page at the browser application can be automatically filled based on the link. Specifically, the autofill mechanism establishes a link between a browser application running on a user device and a user account associated with the user that is stored at the server. When the user engages with the browser application to conduct a transaction on a merchant website, an application programming interface (API) call can be made to retrieve user virtual card information for automatically populating the payment data fields at the transaction page.

Provided are a method, system, and computer-readable medium for a payment service using a card of an integrated function. A payment service method may include registering a representative card that represents payment tools of a user, the representative card being an electronic card configured to be activated through an application installed in a terminal of the user; activating a payment function of the representative card through the application, the application being associated with a payment service installed in the terminal of the user; setting at least one specific payment tool to be represented by the representative card among the payment tools; and processing a payment using the specific payment tool set in the representative card, in response to a payment request using the representative card.

Fraud Mitigation Via Wireless Communication of Dynamic Transaction Cards
20220051266 · 2022-02-17 ·

Systems and methods disclosed herein provide fraud mitigation via dynamic transaction card wireless communication. A mobile device may cause a dynamic transaction card to periodically scan its environment to detect wireless enabled devices proximately located near the dynamic transaction card. Based on identifying the wireless enabled devices frequently located near the dynamic transaction card, a set of approved devices may be determined. During a transaction, a dynamic transaction card may scan its environment for other wireless enabled devices proximately located near the dynamic transaction card. If wireless enabled devices detected by the dynamic transaction card are all, or a subset, of the devices that are frequently located near the card, then the transaction may be authorized. However, if the wireless enabled devices detected by the dynamic transaction card are not all, or a subset, of the devices that are frequently located near the card, then the transaction may be unauthorized.

TRANSACTION AUTHORISATION
20170278094 · 2017-09-28 ·

Methods, apparatus and computer programs for authorizing transactions are described. A server system receives, from a first computing device, verification information relating to a verification process for verifying a user associated with the first computing device. A verification status associated with the user is set in a memory of the server system, based on the verification information. The server system receives an authorization request for a payment transaction from a payment terminal, the request including an identifier associated with the user, and having been provided to the payment terminal by a payment device different from the first computing device. Responsive to receipt of the authorization request, the verification status associated with the user is identified, and a determination as to whether to authorize the payment transaction is made at least partly on the basis of the identified verification status.
