REWARDS PROGRAM

The rewards program system and method provide an efficient and effective way for customers to enroll in rewards programs, and accrue and redeem rewards at participating merchants. The system generates promotions, analyzes transaction data to identify whether a customer used a promotion, issued by the system (e.g., promotions provider), with a merchant. When the customer redeems a promotion, the system accrues reward amounts in a customer account, and allows the customer to redeem accrued rewards amounts. The system generates credit card profiles and customer profiles, and offers customers subsequent promotions based on the transaction data and/or the customer's customer profile. The system issues the customer subsequent promotions when the amount credited to the rewards account satisfies a redemption threshold. The subsequent promotions may be redeemable at merchants that have promotions issued by the promotion provider, including the merchant where the promotion was used that resulted in the credited amount.

Augmented reality numberless transaction card

A method implemented on an augmented reality (AR) electronic device includes receiving a request to activate a transaction card account on a transaction card. The transaction card account is activated on the transaction card. A virtual representation of account information corresponding to the transaction card account is displayed on the AR electronic device. The exterior of the transaction card is free of account identifying information.

Methods, systems and computer readable media for over the air (OTA) provisioning of soft cards on devices with wireless communications capabilities

A soft card provisioning application is instantiated on a device with wireless communications capabilities. A card number for a soft card desired to be provisioned on the device is obtained from a user of the device. An issuer identification number retrieved from the card number is communicated to a provisioning configuration server over an air interface. A provisioning issuer server network address is obtained from the provisioning configuration server based on the issuer identification number. Card issuer specific challenges are presented to the user, and the user's responses to the challenges are received. The challenge responses are communicated to the provisioning issuer server. Soft card image data and personalization data, where the personalization data includes personalized embossed and pre-printed data, are received from the provisioning issuer server over the air interface. The soft card is provisioned for use on the device based on the data received over the air interface.

DYNAMIC MODIFICATION OF A VERIFICATION METHOD ASSOCIATED WITH A TRANSACTION CARD
20210374745 · 2021-12-02 ·

A device may determine that a verification method associated with a transaction card is to be modified from a first verification method to a second verification method. The first verification method and the second verification method may use different types of verification information. The device may provide a set of instructions to the transaction card after determining that the verification method is to be modified. The set of instructions may cause the transaction card to modify the verification method from the first verification method to the second verification method. The device may provide information identifying a modification to the verification method to a transaction backend device to notify the transaction backend device that the verification method associated with the transaction card has been modified from the first verification method to the second verification method.

METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR CONTROLLING DISPLAY OF A REPRESENTATION OF A PHYSICAL USER TOKEN IN A DIGITAL WALLET
20210374722 · 2021-12-02 ·

A method for controlling display of a graphical representation of a physical user token in a digital wallet application of an electronic device, where the graphical representation is specified by a token server of a token-issuing entity is described. The method comprises: receiving, at a central processing system, user token user-specified data from the electronic device, the user-specified data comprising a unique token identifier that represents the physical user token and an image identifier representing a user-determined image associated with the physical token; linking, at the central processing system, the unique token identifier with the image identifier; sending an update instruction from the central processing system to the token server, to update graphical asset data associated with the physical user token stored at the token server, the instruction including the image identifier and the unique token identifier, updating the graphical asset data associated with the physical user token stored at the token server, with the received image identifier and unique token identifier; transmitting from the token server, asset information relating to the graphical representation to the electronic device, the asset information being generated using the image identifier and the unique token identifier; and using the received asset information to display the graphical representation in the digital wallet application of the electronic device.

BIOMETRIC ENROLMENT
20210374218 · 2021-12-02 ·

A method is described for biometric enrolment of a biometrically authorisable device having a biometric sensor for identification of an authorised user and a processor capable of permitting access to one or more secure feature(s) based on authentication of the user's identity. The enrolment method includes mounting the biometrically authorisable device to a holder in order to form an enrolment system arranged to be delivered to the end user by mail. The holder has a power source such that during delivery the supply of power is deactivated and the holder includes a switching arrangement configured to activate the supply of power in response to manipulation of the holder. The enrolment system is delivered to the user and the supply of power is activated in response to manipulation of the holder by the user.

IDENTITY-LINKED DEVICE INFORMATION FOR USER IDENTIFICATION AND TRANSACTION PERSONALIZATION VIA MOBILE TAGGING
20220191194 · 2022-06-16 ·

Embodiments of the present disclosure provide methods, systems, apparatuses, and computer program products for using identity-linked device information for user identification and transaction personalization via mobile tagging, for example validating user identity and providing a user identifier and user information for transaction personalization. A user identification and personalization system may be provided to receive an electronic data transmission, from a user device over a carrier network, indicative of prior execution of an access link having been detected and decoded from a decodable visual representation. The transmission may include identity-linked device information injected by a carrier device via a header enrichment process. The system may further determine a user identifier based on the identity-linked device information, and transmit, to the user device for forwarding to a service provider device, an authentication indication including the user identifier. The user identifier may be used for various identification/personalization applications.

Computer-based systems and methods involving biometric authentication aspects for handling exceptions, enabling deactivation and/or performing other functionality
11347990 · 2022-05-31 · ·

Systems and methods involving biometric authentication of transaction cards including aspects of exception handling, deactivation and other features are disclosed. In one embodiment, an exemplary computer-implemented method may comprise generating a first user interface having one or more interactive UI elements that enable a card owner to manage a plurality of features associated with a transaction card, and determining, if a biometric-activated control is enabled and the vendor is not excluded from the biometric-activated control, whether the transaction card is biometrically-active. Further, the interactive UI elements may include elements such as a first UI element that is configured to allow the card owner to enable a biometric-activated control of the transaction card, and/or a second UI element that is configured to allow the card owner to exclude one or more vendors from the biometric-activated control.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR DEPLOYING ENTERPRISE SOFTWARE UPDATES
20230273785 · 2023-08-31 ·

Systems and methods for deploying enterprise software updates are provided. An identity of an application in an application group that is designated active is obtained in response to a command to run a first application on a client device. Only one application in the application group is designated active at any given time. In response to a determination that an identity of a second application in the application group matches the identity of the single application in the application group that is designated active, a procedure is run that includes terminating the first application and executing the second application. The executing retrieves all or a portion of a shared data element stored on the client device. The shared data element is shared between the first application and the second application, thereby allowing an application with an active status to run while preserving shared data associated with an inactive application.
