Methods and systems for integrating a loyalty program with a payment card
Embodiments provide a method of integrating a loyalty program with a payment card of a customer. In some implementations, the method includes sending, by a merchant terminal, a payment transaction request to a server system associated with a payment network. The payment transaction request includes a payment transaction amount to be paid to a merchant account from an issuer account of the customer and a consumer identifier linked to the loyalty program associated with the merchant loyalty card. The method includes receiving a notification comprising a payment transaction approval message and a machine-readable script through the payment network. The machine-readable script comprises the consumer identifier and is executable by the merchant terminal. The method further includes storing the consumer identifier associated with the merchant loyalty card with existing customer data in the payment card of the customer by executing the machine-readable script thereby integrating the loyalty program with the payment card.

The processor is configured to extract identification data corresponding to the commodity identification information, acquire image data obtained by the imaging device, determine whether a commodity in the acquired image data is the same as the commodity that is identified by the commodity identification information, and register transaction information regarding transaction of the commodity identified by the commodity identification information.
Method and system for presence detection
Techniques for detecting and presenting rewards for presence are disclosed. Presence of a mobile device within a building is detected based on a plurality of triggers including a degradation of a first signal and a concurrent improvement of a second signal. The triggers are identified by a client-side application of the mobile device or a corresponding server-side processor with which the client-side application is in communication and from which the client-side application is configured to automatically receive available rewards. In response to detecting presence within the building, the server-side processor determines that a user of the mobile device is eligible for a reward, and the reward is provided to the user via the client-side application at the mobile device.

Provided is a computer-implemented method for predicting payment transactions using a machine learning technique that includes receiving transaction data, generating a categorical transaction model based on the transaction data, determining a plurality of prediction scores including determining, for one or more users, a prediction score in each merchant category of a plurality of merchant categories for each predetermined time segment of a plurality of predetermined time segments, where a respective prediction score includes a prediction of whether a user will conduct a payment transaction in a merchant category at a time associated with a predetermined time segment associated with the respective prediction score, determining a recommended merchant category and a recommended predetermined time segment of at least one offer, generating the at least one offer, and communicating the at least one offer to the one or more users. A system and computer program product are also disclosed.

For instance, a payment service may determine, based at least in part on transaction information, that a first customer conducted a first transaction at a first merchant followed a subsequent transaction at a second merchant. The payment service may further determine that a second customer conducted a second transaction at the first merchant followed by a subsequent transaction at a third merchant, Based on transaction information associated with the first transaction and the second transaction, the payment service may create a buyer profile including the first customer and second customer. Upon the payment service receiving a request to process a third transaction between the first merchant and the second customer, the payment service can generate a recommendation that the second customer conduct a subsequent transaction to the third transaction at the second merchant rather than the third merchant. The payment service can then send a electronic communication that includes the recommendation to the first merchant or the second customer.

An example apparatus includes communications circuitry configured to receive contextual data regarding a set of consumer devices, wherein the contextual data identifies locations of each consumer device of the set of consumer devices, receive resource management data regarding a set of merchant locations, transmit, to a consumer device of the set of consumer devices, a message indicating terms of an immediate gratification promotion redeemable at a merchant location of the set of merchant locations, wherein the immediate gratification promotion comprises a promotion for which purchase automatically initiates redemption, and receive, from the consumer device, a message requesting purchase of the immediate gratification promotion. The example apparatus further includes design circuitry configured to generate the terms of the immediate gratification promotion based on the received contextual data and the received resource management data.
