In some implementations, a state machine can be maintained in which at least some states may cause the first or second notifications to be displayed, and in which transitional conditions between states may depend at least in part on user interaction with the displayed notifications.
Monitoring and Using Telemetry Data
Aspects of the disclosure relate to monitoring and using telemetry information in various ways. For example, a system that monitors telemetry information may include a user that gathers telemetry information of a device and transmits the information to a monitored room. A manager may join a monitored room and monitor the monitored room for particular types of telemetry information. In one example, a manager may determine whether a downstream device is experiencing a network problem, such as a low bitrate. A manager may also transmit commands to the player via the monitored room, which causes the downstream device to operate in accordance with the transmitted command. In one example, a manager may transmit a command that causes a player to decode a particular service.

An orthogonal or multi-dimensional fabric interface is described herein to select and present content to a user. A location is determined and time is selected for the user. The multi-dimensional fabric is accessed for content based the determined location and the selected time. If content is stored in the multi-dimensional fabric at the determined location and the selected time, the user is notified of the content, which can then be presented to the user.
Making real-time content selection decisions based on multivariate testing
A request for a page is received. A processor is used to provide an optimized version of the page at least in part by determining dynamically an optimized content element for the page based at least in part on a user attribute associated with the request and content performance data generated based at least in part on testing of alternative versions of the page with respect to other users having the user attribute. The provided optimized version of the page is selected from the alternative versions of the page based on the content performance data indicating that the selected version of the page is optimized for the other users having the user attribute.

Expected output of the content item over the future time period may be determined from historical data of output of other content items similar to the content item, and may be adjusted based on additional information, such as actual output of the content item. The forecast may be generated from the compatible advertisement opportunities associated with the content item and the expected output of the content item.

In one or more embodiments, a system and method for e-commerce price-per-click marketing and advertising includes establishing delivery windows for publishers to deliver clicks. Clicks desired by an advertiser are posted to a publisher web site portal for publishers to accept. Acceptance by a publisher of a quantity of clicks for delivery establishes a finite delivery window. During a publisher's delivery window, clicks committed for delivery are subtracted from the web site posting. After the delivery window, actual delivered clicks are subtracted and undelivered reserved clicks are added to the quantity of desired clicks; the updated quantity is posted for other publishers to accept.

CONTENT SEQUENCES FOR USER CONTENT ITEM EXPLORATION
Techniques are provided for generating a content sequence of campaigns for providing users with content items. A first campaign of the content sequence is generated to include a first content item to display to a first audience of users. A second campaign of the content sequence is generated to include a second content item to display to a second audience of users that viewed the first content item. A third campaign of the content sequence is generated to include a third audience of users that interacted with the second content item. In this way, the content sequence is implemented to serve content items to users.
