METHODS, SYSTEMS, AND APPARATUS FOR ASSESSING AN EFFECT OF A MEDICAL TREATMENT ON ORGAN FUNCTION
20220338806 · 2022-10-27 ·

An effect of a treatment on an organ, e.g., a lung, is assessed by acquiring a first measurement for each of a plurality of regions of the organ, and then acquiring a second measurement for each of the plurality of regions of the organ, after acquisition of the first measurements. A regional change measurement is obtained for each of the plurality of regions of the organ based on the first measurement and the second measurement of the region. A treatment effect is then determined based the plurality of regional change measurements and treatment information of the treatment delivered to the organ.

Stent Detection Methods And Imaging System Interfaces

The disclosure relates, in part, to computer-based visualization of stent position within a blood vessel. A stent can be visualized using intravascular data and subsequently displayed as stent struts or portions of a stent as a part of a one or more graphic user interface(s) (GUI). In one embodiment, the method includes steps to distinguish stented region(s) from background noise using an amalgamation of angular stent strut information for a given neighborhood of frames. The GUI can include views of a blood vessel generated using distance measurements and demarcating the actual stented region(s), which provides visualization of the stented region. The disclosure also relates to display of intravascular diagnostic information such as indicators. An indicator can be generated and displayed with images generated using an intravascular data collection system. The indicators can include one or more viewable graphical elements suitable for indicating diagnostic information such as stent information.

Method for visualizing a bone

A method and a corresponding system are provided. The method comprises steps of providing 2D images and subsequently detecting outlines of a primary structure in each of the images. A visual representation of the 2D images is generated and the 2D images are then arranged as 2D slices in a 3D visual representation. To this end, at least two of the 2D images are taken at different imaging angles. The method provides a 3D visual representation of a region of interest comprising a primary structure to support a spatial sense of a user.

X-RAY DIAGNOSIS APPARATUS AND IMAGE PROCESSING APPARATUS

A marker-coordinate detecting unit detects coordinates of a stent marker on a new image when the new image is stored in an image-data storage unit; and then a correction-image creating unit creates a correction image from the new image through, for example, image transformation processing, so as to match up the detected coordinates with reference coordinates that are coordinates of the stent marker already detected by the marker-coordinate detecting unit in a first frame. An image post-processing unit then creates an image for display by performing post-processing on the correction image created by the correction-image creating unit, the post-processing including high-frequency noise reduction filtering-processing, low-frequency component removal filtering-processing, and logarithmic-image creating processing; and then a system control unit performs control of displaying a moving image of an enlarged image of a set region that is set in the image for display, together with an original image.

A method is provided for image-processing an image dataset acquired from a patient by a medical imaging apparatus, (e.g., an X-ray apparatus), wherein the image dataset includes image values associated with image points, and depicts an acquisition region of the patient containing at least one object, (e.g., a medical device), to be enhanced, which is represented by image values within an image-value interval. The method includes determining a non-linearly high-pass filtered enhancement dataset, which is confined to an image portion containing image values lying in the image-value interval. The method also includes determining a result dataset by adding to the image dataset the enhancement dataset weighted by a weighting value. The method further includes outputting the result dataset.

Evaluation Method and System for Corrosion Degree of Absorbable Stent

An evaluation method and system for the corrosion degree of an absorbable stent. The method includes the following steps: obtaining the total number S.sub.0 of stent bars of the absorbable stent at the time zero of implantation (S10); separately obtaining n frames of optical coherence tomography (OCT) images of the absorbable stent at the time x of implantation, wherein x is greater than 0, and n is a natural number greater than 1 (S20); determining, according to the n frames of OCT images, the total number Ni of the stent bars corresponding to each frame of OCT image, wherein i is a natural number greater than or equal to 1 and less than or equal to n; and calculating the total number S.sub.x of the stent bars corresponding to the n frames of OCT images at the time x of implantation (I) (S30); determining a corrosion degree Cij of a jth stent bar in an ith frame of OCT image at the time x of implantation, wherein j is a natural number greater than or equal to 1 and less than or equal to Ni (S40); and calculating an overall corrosion degree Cx of the absorbable stent at the time x of implantation according to the following formula: (II) (S50). The evaluation method can be applied to clinical treatment.
