SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR AUGMENTING AN IMAGE WITH STYLIZED FEATURES
A system and method is provided for augmenting an image with stylized features. An exemplary method includes identifying, in a first image, a first version of an object having a first set of graphical features and identifying, in a second image, a second version of the object having a second set of graphical features. Moreover, the method includes extracting the first and second sets of graphical features from the first and second images, respectively, and generating a third set of graphical features by calculating differences between the first and second sets of graphical features. Finally, using the third set of graphical features, the method includes augmenting the first version of the object in the first image.
Localization by using skyline data
Methods, systems, and computer code on computer-readable media are provided that are directed to generating area skyline data using a digital elevation or surface models (DEMs or DESs) and shadow casting techniques. Some embodiments use an area of maximum shadow line overlap, for shadow line images based on target location skyline azimuth and elevation angle data, as the best approximation for the position of the target location in an area. Some embodiments select the location showing the best fit to the target skyline azimuth and elevation angle data as the best approximation for the target location.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR URBAN ROAD RECOGNITION BASED ON LASER POINT CLOUD, STORAGE MEDIUM, AND DEVICE
Embodiments of the present disclosure disclose a method and apparatus for urban road recognition based on a laser point cloud. The method comprises: constructing a corresponding road edge model according to the laser point cloud acquired by a laser sensor; determining a height of a mobile carrier provided with the laser sensor and constructing a corresponding road surface model based on the height and the laser point cloud; eliminating a road surface point cloud and a road edge point cloud in the laser point cloud according to the road edge model and the road surface model, segmenting a remaining laser point cloud using a point cloud segmentation algorithm, and recognizing an object corresponding to a segmenting result. By estimating the height of the mobile carrier according to the laser point cloud and constructing a corresponding road surface model using the height, the efficiency and accuracy of constructing the road surface model are improved, thereby improving the efficiency and accuracy of recognizing corresponding objects.
Image abstraction system
An image abstraction engine is provided to characterize scenes like typically found in an urban setting. Specifically buildings and manmade structures have certain characteristic properties that may be abstracted and compressed in a manner that takes advantage of those characteristic properties. This allows for a more compact and computationally efficient abstraction and recognition.

To appropriately superimpose and display a virtual object on an image of a real space, an information processing apparatus according to exemplary embodiment of the present invention determines the display position of the virtual object based on information indicating an allowable degree of superimposition of a virtual object on each real object in the image of the real space, and a distance from a real object for which a virtual object is to be displayed in association with the real object.

The present disclosure discloses a method and apparatus for determining a to-be-superimposed area of an image, superimposing an image and presenting a picture. The method for determining a to-be-superimposed area of an image in a scene picture comprises: acquiring a scene picture; determining a to-be-superimposed area in the scene picture; receiving a to-be-superimposed image based on a update request from a user, the update request including identity information of the to-be-superimposed image; and determining the to-be-superimposed area matching the to-be-superimposed image based on the identity information. The present embodiment realizes a partial update to the scene picture.
PRE-EMPTIVE GENERATION OF AUTONOMOUS UNMANNED AERIAL VEHICLE INSPECTIONS ACCORDING TO MONITORED SENSOR EVENTS
Methods, systems and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on computer storage media for generation of autonomous unmanned aerial vehicle flight plans based on triggered sensor information. One of the methods includes accessing information correlated from sensors monitoring features of weather events, and determining an upcoming weather event, the determination comprising one or more areas expected to be affected by the weather event. A likelihood of damage associated with the weather event is determined to be greater than a threshold in the areas. The weather event is monitored while areas in which the likelihood is greater than the threshold are updated accordingly. Subsequent to the weather event, properties to be inspected by unmanned aerial vehicles are determined based on severity information associated with the weather event. Job information is generated, the job information being associated with inspecting the determined properties, the job information including jobs each assignable to operators for implementation.
Master key identification and feedback system
A key model identification and feedback system includes a key identification housing, a master key receiving aperture, a master key identifier, a processor in communication with the master key identifier, and a feedback module. The processor is configured to access a database defining a plurality of known key models, compare the physical characteristics of the master key with physical characteristics of the known key models in the database to identify a model of the master key, and communicate the model of the master key to the feedback module coupled to the key identification housing. The feedback module, responsive to the communication from the processor, outputs an indication of the model of the master key and directions to a location remote from the key identification housing where a key blank having the same model of the master key is available for duplicating the master key.

An apparatus for displaying an image in a portable terminal includes a camera to photograph the image, a touch screen to display the image and to allow selecting an object area of the displayed image, a memory to store the image, a controller to detect at least one object area within the image when displaying the image of the camera or the memory and to recognize object information of the detected object area to be converted into a voice, and an audio processing unit to output the voice.
Guided geometry extraction for localization of a device
Systems, apparatuses, and methods are provided for determining the geographic location of an end-user device (e.g., vehicle, mobile phone, smart watch, etc.). An end-user device may collect a depth map at a location in a path network. Feature geometries may be obtained from a fingerprint database in proximity to the location in the path network. The depth map may be oriented with the feature geometries of the fingerprint. Control points from an extracted feature geometry in the depth map may be compared with control points within the fingerprint. Match rates may be calculated based on the comparison, and a geographic location of the end-user device may be determined when an overall match rate exceeds a minimum threshold value.
