An apparatus and a method for displaying an image on a portable image device are provided. The method includes receiving a first input from an object detection device, the first input being an indication that a marker associated with an object is detected, determining a configuration of the object based on the first input, generating a first image corresponding to the object based on the configuration of the object, and displaying the first image on an image display device of the portable image device.

MOBILE TERMINAL AND CONTROL METHOD THEREOF

Disclosed is a mobile terminal for providing screen information for face recognition includes: a camera unit configured to receive a face image; a display unit configured to output screen information for face recognition; and a control unit configure to, when face images captured in different postures are recognized, provide notification information indicating that the faces have been recognized, wherein the screen information for face recognition includes a plurality of graphic objects denoting face images of different postures, and when there is a posture identical to a posture of a face image received through the camera unit, among the postures denoted by the plurality of graphic objects, the control unit makes the graphic object denoting the posture identical to the posture of the face image received through the camera unit disappear from the screen information for face recognition.

IMAGE PROCESSING METHOD, MOBILE DEVICE AND METHOD FOR GENERATING A VIDEO IMAGE DATABASE

For an image processing concept, a database is provided in a device, the database comprising data derived from a plurality of frames of a video sequence. A live video feed is obtained from a camera of the device. Information is extracted from a selected image of the live video feed. A search is performed in the database based on the extracted information to retrieve a list of potential frames out of the plurality of frames. An initial pose of the selected image is estimated with respect to one frame of the list of potential frames as a function of the extracted information and the data derived from the one frame. Respective subsequent poses for subsequent images from the live video feed are iteratively estimated, wherein for each of the subsequent images the associated subsequent pose is estimated based on said subsequent image and a respective previously estimated pose. The live video feed is augmented on the device with virtual information based on the estimated initial pose and the subsequent poses.

Handwritten text recognition

The subject technology provides for receiving a new input stroke. The subject technology determines whether the new input stroke is associated with an existing line group based on a writing direction estimate of the existing line group. The subject technology merges the new input stroke with the existing line group in response to determining that the new input stroke is associated with the existing line group. The subject technology determines a local orientation of the existing line group including the new input stroke based on an estimate of a direction of writing and a scale of each stroke. The subject technology normalizes the existing line group including the new input stroke using the determined location orientation.
